About
I was visiting the area and found I was just a short drive from this restaurant so I thought I would try it. This is a case where they should’ve been close that night. I made a reservation turns out I was the only customer there. I was worried about how I was dressed but since the server was wearing sweatpants and boots I realize that was not necessary. Half the room was sort of dark because they didn’t need all those tables. My table had a dying flower on it which it added an interesting ambience. I ordered a drink only to be told that was in a bartender on duty. I have French onion soup which was delicious. I ordered a pork chop with mashed potatoes. When it was delivered I thought how great the potatoes looked but turns out they were ice cold. They came back reheated and we’re fine. The pork chop was very thick and juicy and tasted good however with only a butter knife to cut it with it was a bit of a challenge. The server said they were expecting a big crowd for the weekend. I guess that’s their big time and perhaps summer.
Anniversary
The menu has enough variety for most. We enjoyed the salads,Tuna and Pork Belly. Service is amateur in training. The old knotty pine ceiling is charming as are the floors. The chef visited our table and awknowledged the need for improvement. She impressed us. We'll go back.
From beginning to end, a mess. Our server couldn't pronounce the names of the wines (we had asked what they had in the way of red wine)... ended up with a $23 bottle of red wine that retails for $5.50. Not complaining, given the usual mark up. But, she couldn't find the wine glasses. We waited and waited, and finally out come two scorching hot glasses. Ordered nachos as a starter. Pretty awful, with no balance between cheese, heat, onion, etc. Then, an overcooked, oversalted filet ($33!) over oversalted mashed potatoes (that tasted as though they had been microwaved, along with over cooked zucchini. My dining companion had the pork belly ($23), which again was covered with salt and nearly inedible. Total bill with tip was $120. Definitely would not return.
Well-kept place with good service and decent food.
We enjoyed our visit to RM Bistro but the menu, food and price is not good. This is not a fine dining experience but the pricing is up there. Probably be ok for a burger at lunch with friends. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was gay and comfortable.
The pretzel was awesome. The shrimp pasta was not very good. The shrimp were great, but the pasta flavor was so bland and tasteless it made the whole dish not good. Just some fresh garlic and olive oil would have been awesome and made the whole dish taste great. I think it was an attempt at Alfredo pasta, but I have had way better Alfredo sauce out of a jar.
I also thing there was a typo on the menu or a completely hilarious named dish. They advertise Exotic Grain Salad. It literally has no grains in it at all. LOL.
The server was great though, and the chef did come out to greet us which was lovely, but I just did not have the heart to tell her to step up her pasta game up.
Ordered two drinks, my wine was fine but his mixed drink was nasty. Ordered nachos that came out looking like melted cheese on some chips and black olives poured on top, they told us after the fact they were out of the other toppings. Only positive was the beautiful drive up and the view while we were there. Would never go back.
Our waitress Erica was amazing such a sweetheart and so professional, can’t wait to go back.
We showed up at the restaurant after making a reservation and they were closed. There was a sign on the door saying they were not ser
Wonderful gay friendly spot with a rich history and very friendly staff. The service wasn't incredibly fast, but very kind and professional.
We took our son and his girlfriend to dinner during Family weekend this past weekend. It was a wonderful experience. Beautiful setting, the food was delicious. The service was great. We can’t wait to go back again!
The area around Rte 209 between East Stroudsburg and Bushkill is pretty sparse for restaurants - this place was a welcome exception to the rule. Great vegan and vegetarian dishes, as well as more typical meat and potatoes stuff.
The bistro was only 1/4 capacity when we arrived yet we witnessed a discussion between the waitstaff not to put too many orders in too rapidly or the chef might flip out. Our waitress was very pleasant but flushed and sweating throughout service and struggling to cope. The food was average. The experience not memorable. I don’t blame the staff I blame management. Such a shame.
The place was nearly empty yet the service was unbelievably slow. When the food finally came out, it was completely over cooked. My wife who never complains could not even eat her Chicken Parm and me fish and chips was so tough that I could hardy cut it. This was the worst meal we have ever had at any restaurant.
Great atmosphere, exceptional food and service! Enjoyed the restaurant!
Excellent service waitress is very attentive.
Food was amazing kudos to the chef Tanya our host Joey a comedian as usual.
Gem in the Poconos! Cozy surroundings, lovely views, best dining experience in a week filled with mediocre food. We'll be back!
Everything was excellent! Loved it :) food was superb wait staff was very accommodating I highly recommend it! Scenery was also beautiful

Valentine's dinner was fantastic!!!!!
Went to the bistro at Raindow Mountain in with a few coworkers to unwind with a cocktail and relaxing dinner after a hard week. We were so glad we did! Everything was wonderful, from the Thai lettuce wraps (amazing), soups, to the entrees, cocktails and everything in between. It was all fantastic. The menu is diverse, from comfort food to more complex. The dinning room is stylish and quiet and the staff was all so much fun. The chef, Brad, came out to talk to us, and every other table there, just to say thanks for coming in, and to make sure everything was to our liking, what a treat. Great experience! We will all definitely be back, this may just become our Friday night spot! Thumbs up from each of us.
Loved it! The bistro was warm and cozy on a winter's night and the staff was super friendly.
The new renovations makes the bistro feel very modern but still maintains a local vibe.
Ingredients were local and fresh, not frozen. Highly recommend the lettuce cups and classic wedge salad to start ! Generous portions! Also for main entrees, the pork chop was a great value for the price and I enjoyed my salmon- cooked perfectly. Overall a super positive experience and planning our next dinner date soon.
Super cute restaurant with a great vibe & great food
Had a great experience at Rainbow Mountain Bistro. Delicious local American fare in a chic and cozy space with an awesome view of the Pocono Mountains. Highly recommend it!
Poor service. Food just ok certainly not a place I would revisit.
