Service was fantastic , friendly and fast - food was yummy However we found that it was just too loud and this didn’t make our dinner enjoyable . Our son was wearing earplugs as he is sensitive to loud noises - my hubby and I found it just as uncomfortable and we couldn’t even chat with each other and we left straight after we finished our meal .

First visit left a great impression, the Pasta and Risotto dishes had great flavour and were definitely better than anything we have ever had from up market Italian restaurants (Including in Italy)!!!!! The Railway Hotel Yarraville can expect us becoming regulars.

Nicely spaced renovated dining area. Staff were super efficient & friendly. We went on a Tuesday'parma' specials night, so the men were all happy. Their shoestring chips (fries) were pinchworthy & the accompanying salads were favourably commented on. I had a special for the day 'Marlin' with beautifully cooked asparagus & excellent just cooked vegetables.

This is a nice place to go and spend a lunch time. The menu is interesting and has a fair variety of options to suit many tastes. Some of the service was good, some lacking initiative. Having said that, there was nothing that could not be rectified. We shall certainly visit again.

This place ticks all the boxes. Friendly attentive staff that cope well when it gets busy. We did lunch on the day. Food was great. The place has a great feel about it. Definitely be back. Have recommended to friends.

Service was very slow. Had to go to the bar a few times to get somebody to come over and take our food/drinks order. Didn’t seem to be enough staff for the amount of people dining. Food good though.

We booked an early Friday dinner at the Railway. The pub was busy with an energetic feel running through the place. The serving staff were efficient, our food turned up 30 minutes later. My warm veggie salad was delicious despite the falafels being a tad dry. Overall we had a great meal.

Service was absolutely wonderful- from the staff finding us in the bar to let us know the table was ready early to later getting free drinks because we were kept waiting for them! Food was good with an interesting menu.

Great food and service, but tables for two are too close to each other. The young couple who they sat at the table right next to ours seemed quite uncomfortable. We could easily hear each other’s conversations.

Doors opened at 12pm yet you can make a reservation for 12 so had to wait outside locked out in the rain until they opened the door. Left our empty plates from lunch for 3 hours, and we had to go to the bar to order drinks because no one would come to the table. Mind you the place was pretty empty so can't imagine the service levels if it was busy. No toilet paper in both upstairs and downstairs toilets. You have to walk through a cloud of smoke to go the roof top toilets, so gross. Overall not a great experience but the food was pretty good though so chef and kitchen working well.

Been going there for over 15 years and luaus great however our recent dinner was disappointing mainly because the portion size was extremely small - veal medallions special had very little meat for $32 dollars is not priced correctly and partner had the fish and chips with a tiny amount of chips - not the same portion size over the years. We are considering where her we go back. Thanks Brad

Had a fabulous meal at The Railway. Caught the train down from Wangaratta for the footy & hopped a local train to Yarraville & it was a less than 5 minute walk to the pub. I had the grilled barramundi with asparagus etc(special) - delicious! Dining companions had gnocchi, fish & chips & all reported their meals spot on. Good wine/drinks list, too!
