Railstop Restaurant & Bar
Delicious and creative food, and very pleasant decor.
Lots of GF options even though the items aren't marked. The waiter indicated that they can do a gluten free version of just about anything on the menu, including a separate fryer. The risotto special was excellent!
Our waiter Sam was great!! There was a large group of kids that were rather obnoxious running around all over the place, but over all it was a great time
Railstop is my favorite neighborhood restaurant. I've taken many people here, and all have been impressed.
Great as always. This visit was my third time at the restaurant this month. My friend who is vegetarian found plenty of options from which to choose. Everyone I bring to RailStop says this place is a good find. I’ll be back to try brunch soon.
Delicious innovative drinks and food (as always)!
Inexperienced server. Timing was off. Food came out way too fast (main course before we finished appetizers). Also, server kept trying to get us to order more and add items with up charges. Nice ambience but food is overpriced for what it is. My wife asked for a glass of wine without specifying what and he gave her one that costs $16.
In the past I have had a great meal at Rail Stop. It tonight the halibut was very thin and dry like it was reheated. Very disappointing. I complained but our waiter did not seem to care.
The restaurant had excellent service & a nice variety of dishes. We sat at a cozy booth & were not disturbed by the chatter of other patrons or the Sunday night football fans seated at the bar.
Super new place. Great broad menu from snack to full meal. Great food including homemade bread basket that was too.good! Beautiful but not too crazy environment. We loved it and went back the next night.
First time at the Railstop for my birthday. Food and drinks were absolutely amazing. We had the oysters and crab cakes for an appetizer with a dirty martini and an espresso martini. For dinner I had the risotto special with short rib and my boyfriend had the swordfish. Both were amazing. I then had my special “surprise drink” from my boyfriend, the “yass”. A gin and Prosecco drink topped with a sangria popsicle and two limoncello shots in a lemon rind. Absolutely perfect. Beautiful ambiance and decor, but a tad cold so bring a layer to put on.
Excellent service, superb food and great location! This is my second time and I definitely plan to come back with few of my colleagues!
Service was incredibly slow. It took forever to get our drink orders. The waiter didn't bring bread. My oysters came without a spoon for the sauces. We barely saw our waiter Linden.
It was good and we will probably be back eventually if we are in the area.
The drinks were good. I think the dine out Boston menu might not have showcased all this restaurant has to offer. I wouldn’t recommend.
Have been here 2x, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times were just... odd. For dinner, smelly expired seafood was served, how does the kitchen not know that mussels and calamari on the plate should not smell like that? For lunch, service was lousy. Food just okay, nothing special. Ie restaurant week dessert was simply a profiterole with scoop of ice cream, and both the profiterole and the ice cream were lousy quality. If they dropped their prices and stopped pretending to be a fancy place, would meet middling expectations, but they are trying so hard to be an "occasion" spot. You can do way better for the price tag in our awesome food city
This restaurant has become my favorite dining spot in Brighton. I have taken many people here, and they've all liked it very much.
Large space and can accommodate large groups with advanced notice. Great bar and interesting cocktail and draft beer selections. Diverse menu and everything tasted great. Will definitely return.
Don’t waste your money on the food, it came out cold & really not worth the price. Beautiful ambiance & great location - go for the cocktails not the food
Loved the service and food!
Our favorite place to go! The staff is always nice and the food is really delicious. Would recommend!
Trainee waitress did a very good job. My BLAT had very tough bacon. My husband enjoyed his burger.
Great food & atmosphere! Drink menu is creative & fun while the apps & entrees were delish :)
Such great food, awesome service and really great drink menu. Staff is always incredible with my food allergies! Thank you RailStop, we love you!
BBQ burger was great; ribs so-so and mashed potatoes fair. Supposedly a half rack of ribs, but more like 1/4!
Came here to try the brunch. Drinks were great and food was good. Really enjoyed the pancake with banana and chocolate chips!
The entree description in the menu was not what was served.
Key ingredients that were described were missing when the meal was served. The meal appeared to be hastily prepared. The dinner was sent back and we left.
A very easy to get to and easy to be at place.
wonderful bar, eclectic menu, great service
Our waiter knew all the ins and outs of the menu and was well versed on the Allston/Brighton dining scene.
This is our favorite new restaurant near our home in Watertown. Great drinks, menu, and service. It's located in a primarily new business area right off the Pike. We've been there twice and are going back again tomorrow night.
Great service - waitress was very attentive but not intrusive. Food was very good. Would have liked a little more diversity in the brunch menu but overall a great place
Food was good. My wife had the Rosotto with crab cake. Crab cake was dry and needed to be much bigger. The server was very knowledgeable and very attentive. I would go back again.
Great food, great service and great atmosphere!! Great bar and nice area.
Excellent place to have lunch or a nice dinner! Sausage pizza is fantastic and so is cheese tempura app
Super fun evening with an awesome waiter and lots of good food. All the appetizers and beverages were just fantastic!
This was our 3rd time visiting Railstop. Unfortunately 3rd time wasn't a charm. Our previous visits had great service and delicious food. This visit was odd and I hope just an exception. The place wasn't crowded - it was a quiet, rainy Tuesday night - yet we had to flag down our server to take or drink orders; and then there was a lull between that and taking the food orders. The food was just OK - my chicken picata was good enough but nothing really special. My dining partner's chicken roulade was overcooked. Another diner had onion rings which looked good but were ultimately greasy and soggy. We'll definitely probably try this place again since it's in our 'hood - and the cocktails are quite delicious - but we'll give it a few months rest.
The menu looked great, but the actual food was atrocious...
Great selection..lots of healthy choices, very tasty!
Our first visit--for lunch. Lovely setting and good food. Planning on going back.
We were told that there were no tables available until 7:30 but it was virtually empty. We were told one of the wait staff had a problem and didn’t come to work. The service was good but very slow.
Had a wonderful early dinner for Father’s Day. We are local to the Brighton area and this was our first visit. Food was delicious and atmosphere was cool and inviting. We certainly enjoyed our meals and evening however the service was lacking. Server went missing for several minutes when we wanted to order (mind you the restaurant was empty) and the food runner handed our plates to us across the table. Seems like a training issue.
Most likely will return but hopefully the service will improve.
