one of best indian meals i have had outside Delhi.
Butter-chicken is a must try and so are the cocktails
Great Indian food right in the heart of Greenwich Village. Casual yet elegant.
Food was amazing-especially the spaghetti squash kofta-out of this world delicious.
Nice, friendly service.
A bit small but typical for the area.
Would highly recommend!!
Great food !
I didn’t enjoy the food at all. I was excited for the truffle kichdi but tasted absolutely no truffle. It was like home made kichdi my mom makes(hers is better) the asparagus chaat was kind of weird. The crispy spinach (the little that came on it) was good.
I went for restaurant week so had a fixed menu but for the money I paid I would not go back. Even my ginger ale was flat.
Service was good.
Second time for me !
I am from Argentina
My husband really appreciate my recomendation
Amazing spot!!!! Food was very good! Service too, great drinks.
I cant believe I will say this, but portions are too big! Just a little bit less , just a tiny bit! ;)
Loved everything about our first dinner at Rahi. The waitstaff were all lovely and attentive, the food was interest and delicious. Can’t wait to go back & try everything else on the menu!!!
The food was excellent and the wait staff was amazing. Overall was a very good experience. Would have liked a bit more choices on the menu.
Food was great. Octopus was a bit pricey for the amount you received. Also, the a/c must have been broken...we were SWEATY by the end of the meal because it was so warm inside.
As usual, an incredible dining experience ! Love this place .
Great, inventive Indian-based cuisine. It’s the best Indian I have had in NYC in 5 years. Will be going back soon.
Food was too spicy.Champagne listed on menu was not available.Dessert list is meagre.
Visited Rahi for an anniversary dinner—the dinner was so good! The staff was nice enough to give us dessert and champagne to celebrate our anniversary. We were both surprised and it made our anniversary that much more memorable.
Thank you so much for doing that. We will definitely be back and look forward to having our favorite meal there again.
We had the 3 course tasting menu, which was delicious, abundant, and a great value. Artichoke and edamame chaat and squash spread + bread to start; duck and cod for the main course; two fabulous desserts. We enjoyed leftover mains for breakfast and lunch the next day. Excellent cocktails too: so, a winning evening!
Husband and I tried the 5 course tasting menu and were pleasantly surprised with every dish that came out. What a modern take on Indian food. Absolutely delicious and highly recommended. Can’t wait to go back.
Food was amazing! Best Indian food I’ve had so far. The only problem was the dessert: we ordered one of the options and it was revolting. Otherwise great Indian modern cuisine.
One of our favorite restaurants in the city. It took us 1 hour 20 minutes to Rahi and it worth every minute of it . Been to this restaurant several times with family and friend.
Food was exceptionally good. Service, however, was slow and spotty and the noise level was off the charts.
We went for brunch at 11:00 AM on a Sunday, and we had the place to ourselves. As a result, the noise level was very low practically nonexistent. The food is delicious and creative, so I highly recommend. The service is, also, excellent: great attention and menu knowledge.
We came to Rahi for the brunch after one visit to their restaurant, Adda, in Long Island City. The menus (as well as the prices and ambiance) are quite different. Food at both places is inventive and tasty. Rahi is significantly more expensive, but the brunch offers a more attractive price. Staff is excellent.
The food at Rahi is exceptional. Lots of wonderful choices and all made well. Our party of four sampled the goat, duck, chicken, octopus, pork belly, butter naan, tandori roti and the delicious side of saag. My only reservations was the uncomfortable noise level and high price tags--especially on the octopus appetizer that was only one small piece.
We were there to celebrate our son’s wedding the day before. The whole experience was lovely. Everything we ordered was delicious. Will definitely return and recommend.
Excellent meal. All the dishes we tried were amazing. The dahi paneer was my favorite. The spaghetti squash kofta and the mushroom kichdi were delicious and modern takes on classic Indian dishes. The Paan dessert with chocolate mouse was so creative and delicious.
Rahi came out and spoke to us personally which was a really nice touch. Will definitely be trying his other restaurants and look forward to coming back here to try the tasting menu next time!
Great cocktails and appetizrrs
This restaurant continues to be outstanding since the day it began. 5 stars on everything, great value for the food, ambiance and service.
Food tastes great! Menu has not many options
Sauces were a little rich for our liking and too few veggies accompanied the entrees
service was slow. food was yummy. cocktail delicious !
Loved the food, and our server was great. It's expensive ($8 for an admittedly outstanding but small kaffir lime mango lassi) but intense, interesting flavors and everything is well prepared. Very enjoyable meal!
the main course lacked the flavor, especially the goat curry and dal rahi left a lot to be desired.
We had a fantastic experience. Great food, excellent service!
Great drinks and food was amazing! First time trying Indian cuisine and it did not disappoint.
Great service and friendly staff. They serve desert for a special occasion which is on the house. The food is tasty and has beautiful presentation.
I would give this restaurant a 5 star rating, hands down
Food was innovative. The wait staff was great, especially our waitress - she even remembered that it was a guest's birthday and brought out a dessert with a candle on it (had requested it when I made the reservation on OpenTable but have found, historically, that many restaurants ignore this request but not Rahi!). Definitely would come back!
Great Indian cuisine and service.
Wedding anniversary for parents
I’ve already recommended Rahi to friends and we just ate there Friday. We arrived a few minutes late for our Friday 715P and our table was far from ready. They fortunately found us a cozy spot at the bar and we ended up dining there. Our bartender/waitress was fabulous - great drink maker (the cocktails are fantastic we had a cardamom cocktail and a raspberry mango cocktail both outstanding, like, gobacktodrinkthemagain good), lovely person, and totally helpful dealing with my vegan diet. My table of 4 decided to vegan with me, which made me sad for them but we were brought the assorted vegan options from the menu and each dish was more delicious than the next and beautifully presented too. We all loved the meal and Rahi is definitely a place to go for a delicious meal and equally tasty drinks.
Just the most incredible food and vibe I have found in the city
Excellent food flavors very intense. Perhaps overly rich w ghee threatening to overtake dal and duck dishes
