Best cocktails I’ve had in nyc, amazing Indian food. Very crowded and loud, but great energy.
great indian classics modernized but not fusion....
Overall a good place with good food. We felt the non-veg dishes tasted better than the veg dishes.
...but: we ate at Rahi on Valentines Day and there was ONLY a prix-fixe menu that was $20 per person more expensive (i.e. it was expenseive) than what I'd seen on line. The food was excellent, unusual and interesting as well as delicious. Service was a bit un-smooth, but everything arrived neither rushed nor slow. Several tables and chairs in our part of the restaurant were unsteady. At those prices, they could do better. Decor was nice enough, and the overall vibe was pretty solid.
Great experience and value for restaurant week! Lamb was so flavorful!
The appetizers were good, the ban
Best Indian restaurant in nyc
It was great food and amazing service. The food did take longer than expected but that could have been the start of restaurant week and many people were ordering the same food. Overall great and would come back!
We went for restaurant week and were very impressed. The ambiance is very nice and service was good. But oh the food. Not for those of the mild spice type. Everything was hot and hotter. Beautifully presented dishes.Delicious artichoke appetizer and chicken in banana leaf. The pumpkin was very good too and hearty sized portions. A must for Indian food lovers!
Original food that doesn't always succeed but usually does.
Indian food perfectly executed! Smoky flavors, colors were everything and everywhere and the presentation was fantastic. Not to mention the decor is super cute! Well thought through.
Loved the restaurant week menu. Can't wait to come back.
Food was incredible and service was even better! Highly recommend
The experience was truly wonderful, every aspect of it was carefully shaped. The dishes and drink were innovative, full of well balanced spices and delicious. We all loved it!
Good food. Friendly service. Good spice level.
Great service. Great food.
Wasn’t as great as I thought. Patra ji Macchi wasn’t tasty and the lamb shank biryani had lot of garam masala. Gajar halwa in the dessert was very good and their garlic nan were good too.
warm atmosphere, prompt attention and service. food selections while modest are interesting and the three dishes we ordered (tika chicken, chicken in banana leaf and mushroom) were delicious. not your traditional indian place, but clearly innovative and worth a try.
Loved it... from ambience, service to Food !!!
Reservation time was not honored but service and food was fantastic
Food was overpriced and portions were small. Some dishes are good, while others were complete misses. I would not recommend to my friends.
Best Indian south of 59th street... maybe 200th street!
Love this place, very interesting menu and everything is so good.
As someone who eats Indian food regularly, not much surprises me. Rahi was a very good find. Highly recommend the appetizers, which were bizarrely good
Great food, goo service, comfortable, good variety.
Outstanding food and service
Amazing Indian fusion, with healthy portions and some of the best flavoring I've ever had.
Wonderful take on modern Indian. Our three dishes were all first rate. Especially enjoyed the duck. Interesting cocktails. Only flaw was a half hour wait on a Friday night with a reservation and we were not alone - they said was unusual. Once seated service was just fine.
I hope this place doesn't go the usual NY route. An absolute neighborhood gem gets found out and their perfection starts sliding downhill. The food was honestly sublime, and the other night it certainly was not. It's packed, so they're doing well. But don't let the kudos go to your head!
This place is super expensive
As always the food was excellent. From the shrimp appetizer, chicken appetizer, basmati rice , raita , superb butter chicken and deliciously spicy dal, all were wonderful! The garlic naan excellent too. Loved the cake dessert and the great mouthwatering kulfi!
Staff was very attentive and friendly. This is really a gem of a restaurant ! Glad we live only a block away so we can dine here often , and we do!
Food was great, but the waitress was distracted for various reasons(e.g. large party coming in later), which sadly took away form the experience, b/c she took awhile to service us.
A great twist on Indian food. I wish they had more mild vegetarian selections.
Excellent food, flavors and very creative menu. Wait staff us superb. Would love to go back any day!!
Amazing food and great atmosphere. The 3-course tasting menu is a fantastic value.
The food are awesome, different spices are used in the dishes and really make the punch out the flavor. The table for two spaces a little tight thou. But overall it's a 5-star experience. Best I have so far this year.
The place was small and we had a group of drunk kids right next to our table which made it next to impossible for us to have any conversations. Food was good. Some dishes were delicious while others were basic. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait 30 mins before getting seated. Cocktails were a bit disappointing.
Better Indian places around.
A great Indian gem in the neighborhood with innovative dishes. Beautiful ambiance. Great for any occasion.
Mixed experience at this restaurant. Food was good overall but one dish (goat) was too spicy even for an Indian's palate. Service was spotty. We never received the "amuse" they sent to the other tables. No one checked on drinks or to find out how our food was. Prices are high given quantity served. We ate more once we got home, even though we don't have big appetites, because we were not full from our dinner. Better options available in my opinion.
