...but: we ate at Rahi on Valentines Day and there was ONLY a prix-fixe menu that was $20 per person more expensive (i.e. it was expenseive) than what I'd seen on line. The food was excellent, unusual and interesting as well as delicious. Service was a bit un-smooth, but everything arrived neither rushed nor slow. Several tables and chairs in our part of the restaurant were unsteady. At those prices, they could do better. Decor was nice enough, and the overall vibe was pretty solid.

It was great food and amazing service. The food did take longer than expected but that could have been the start of restaurant week and many people were ordering the same food. Overall great and would come back!

We went for restaurant week and were very impressed. The ambiance is very nice and service was good. But oh the food. Not for those of the mild spice type. Everything was hot and hotter. Beautifully presented dishes.Delicious artichoke appetizer and chicken in banana leaf. The pumpkin was very good too and hearty sized portions. A must for Indian food lovers!

Indian food perfectly executed! Smoky flavors, colors were everything and everywhere and the presentation was fantastic. Not to mention the decor is super cute! Well thought through.

Wasn’t as great as I thought. Patra ji Macchi wasn’t tasty and the lamb shank biryani had lot of garam masala. Gajar halwa in the dessert was very good and their garlic nan were good too.

warm atmosphere, prompt attention and service. food selections while modest are interesting and the three dishes we ordered (tika chicken, chicken in banana leaf and mushroom) were delicious. not your traditional indian place, but clearly innovative and worth a try.

Wonderful take on modern Indian. Our three dishes were all first rate. Especially enjoyed the duck. Interesting cocktails. Only flaw was a half hour wait on a Friday night with a reservation and we were not alone - they said was unusual. Once seated service was just fine.

I hope this place doesn't go the usual NY route. An absolute neighborhood gem gets found out and their perfection starts sliding downhill. The food was honestly sublime, and the other night it certainly was not. It's packed, so they're doing well. But don't let the kudos go to your head!

As always the food was excellent. From the shrimp appetizer, chicken appetizer, basmati rice , raita , superb butter chicken and deliciously spicy dal, all were wonderful! The garlic naan excellent too. Loved the cake dessert and the great mouthwatering kulfi! Staff was very attentive and friendly. This is really a gem of a restaurant ! Glad we live only a block away so we can dine here often , and we do!

Food was great, but the waitress was distracted for various reasons(e.g. large party coming in later), which sadly took away form the experience, b/c she took awhile to service us.

The food are awesome, different spices are used in the dishes and really make the punch out the flavor. The table for two spaces a little tight thou. But overall it's a 5-star experience. Best I have so far this year.
