Ragdoll Bar & Dining Lounge
Fri, Sat 11:00 am–11:00 pm
I had booked for a group of 10 people for dinner and arrived early for cocktails. We arrived approx 4.40pm and sat on the couches and we ordered 2 cocktails each which seemed to be a hassle for the waitress. She seemed very unimpressed. There was only 4 other people in the restaurant and it was very quiet and I dont think this should've been much of an issue. The waitress asked us if we would like to stay at the couches to eat which we agreed to. Once our drinks were finished we were not offered a top up and we requested the menu 3 times so we could order food. This request was ignored 3 times so we eventually asked for the bill, paid for the cocktails and went down the road to Justin Lane where we experienced great service.
Very disappointing. This was a work christmas event and we were all very disappointed with the service.
Loved the foods!!! Cooked the fresh ingredients Excellent restaurant at great price
I feel Ragdoll had a lot of potential - but unfortunately it did not live up to it.
The quality of the food did not match the prices.
The 'ambience' was ruined by it being too noisy. There is a difference between being 'energetic' (as per the option presented above) and being 'noisy'.
Good food, small portions and decent value. The waiter was a little flustered and busy during our dining experience. Seemed like a busy night and we were left waiting for some time (struggled to get attention). As a group, the table could barely fit our shared plates - we felt quite squished in. Fitting our wine glasses, plates and food on the table felt like Tetris. Good ambience though!
Online menu and table menu were both different. Only a hand full things from the online menu were available. Also no muscles available on the night so a little disappointing.
Not what it was billed to be.
Food ordinary at best, sure we had one dish refunded but can not recommend food.
On a positive kiwi service was good in difficult circumstances
THE BEST FIND IN BURLEIGH! Thank you to the staff and there eye for detail this place wowed everyone we were with! Thanks so much Ragdoll we can’t wait to return
Had a business meeting at Ragdoll yesterday. Venue was perfect. Was able to hold our business conversation comfortably. Food was delicious!! Started with the charcuterie board, always my favourite and the standard was much higher than other venues I've visited. They do shared plates so we were able to sample different dishes which was great. Service was to a high standard and we dined on the duck (which just fell off the bone) along with seasonal vegetables and wagyu, followed by a dessert which was the chef's special for that day … Loved it and its a perfect venue for so many occasions, especially our business meeting lunch. I highly recommend it. I did also hear that live music was commencing in the evening. Fabulous!
What a gem on James street!!! A stunning venue with amazing cocktails. ! A must go
Very disappointing. Salt & pepper calamari was so peppery you couldn’t taste anything else, sliders were terrible as the buns were rock hard, meat patty over cooked and the slice of tomato was almost twice the size/thickness of the meat patty (they didn’t charge us for the sliders because they were so bad). Only one dessert ordered sticky date pudd and that was more like a cake with a few dates, not a rich pudding. Even the glass of Rose was poor. Won’t be going back
They have changed the menu but didn't update the website.
Great ambience, Great Service and Great Food..
Had an amazing evening at Ragdoll...
Wonderful night out. We’ll be back
Great atmosphere, perfect for a date night 😊
We went to Ragdoll for a Sunday Girls Lunch and it did not disappoint. The Menu was great for sharing, the service was exceptional and we all enjoyed the location and the cocktails. I would highly recommend Ragdoll to anyone who is looking for a dining experience with a difference.
Truly wonderful experience. Share platter was generous, all the components worked together perfectly. Other dishes were great as well. I have to mention an amazing customer service. I felt welcomed and taken care from the moment I walked in.
The team at Ragdoll looked after us brilliantly. The food was amazing... I loved the roo and my partner loved the lamb.
Had a couple of cocktails. Try the passionfruit caprioska and the Expresso Martini's
We will definitely be going back.
An experience well worth savouring.
We had dinner and selected several options to share. All were well presented and tasty. The restaurant is nicely decorated in black, white, red and grey. It was a Saturday night and the background music provided by the female singer (with guitar) was just right - good choice of songs and not loud.
Great food and well presented. Live music that doesn't drown out conversation excellent service and atmosphere
Very good wine.. menu a bit limited . Otherwise a very nice restaurant thank you !
Food was delicious but portions were quite small and expensive given the size. It took a very long time for meals to be served and the restaurant was not busy at all, which detracted from the otherwise delicious menu. Wait staff were attentive and knowledgeable. Cocktail presentation was poor but tasted good. Overall a good restaurant but could be great with a few adjustments in service time, cocktail presentation and serving size.
Amazing venue and service. What a place!!!! We will be back very shortly! Your live music is a real treat!
$10 cocktails Saturday and Sunday! A good choice for Lunch and perfect no airs and graces service.
Food stunning , solo acoustic singer was great to have service /attentiveness a bit on and off, decor beautiful
Improvements- food came out a bit too quickly.
I hope it stays and people visit , a great addition to Burleigh scene. Nice and quiet in James street compared to other side where more restaurants and noisy. Well done Ragdoll- yum!
Great location, decor and atmosphere. Attentive service, with a smile. Menu is limited but adequate, each dish presented with flair and cooked to perfection. Overall a great experience.
Second visit based on good experience of first visit. Great new sophisticated addition to Burleighs restaurant offerings. Highly recommend a visit..
It’s always a delightful experience dining at Ragdoll. The food is excellent, ambience relaxing with the lovely Olivia singing and Kieran and Angie welcoming everyone and adding a wonderful personal touch to the whole experience. Our fav place in Burleigh
I went here on a Monday night on a first date so my choice of restaurant had to impress - which I am pleased to say it did. Not only that, my date also found some obscure but yummy wine on the menu that was made by his friend. The maitre'd was very knowledgeable about his wine and provided excellent service and conversation - knowing exactly when to leave us alone. this was my second visit to Ragdoll in James Street and it was quieter and the front of restaurant by the open windows was available for us. I will definitely be back on another occasion.
Our dining experience was absolutely fabulous. Kieren and his staff were incredibly accommodating as we were a large number of women with varying tastes and demands. The food was so delicious, every one of us enjoyed their meal. Thank you again for an awesome afternoon...
Everything we had was amazing especially the Lamb and the soft shell crab tacos.
Wanted to love this restaurant however most of our food was very dry and the waitress could have done with a bit more training eg you don't give the customer beer and a white wine at the same time
We met up with friends to try Burleigh’s newest restaurant Ragdoll on Saturday evening and were pleasently surprised. The staff, food, drinks & ambiance were outstanding. Definitely a 10 out of 10 & my new Burleigh favourite.
Congratulations on an outstanding venue.
Had a nice meal and really enjoyed the solo guitar vocalist. She really made the night. Price & service were good. An issue with the bill (put down to teething problems with the newly opened restaurant) was solved quickly and easily. Will dine there again on our next holiday.
We loved dining at Ragdoll, the food was delicious with a great range of dishes, staff are friendly and helpful, the ambience is divine and there was a lovely young lady on guitar singing which added an extra special vibe to the whole evening. We will definitely be regulars at Ragdoll. A great addition to Burleigh Heads.
