We thoroughly enjoyed Fathers Day Lunch. The food was really special although a little slow getting to the table however, it was very busy so understandable. We will definitely be going back & have already recommended to friends.
My main issue was that the staff cleared the table and threw one of my birthday presents in the bin and there was no real effort to find it until they were informed that the present was a precious stone. Even then no bins were checked and the present was lost to the garbage, the staff didn't make any attempt to apologise to me directly nor was there any suggestion of compensation of any kind.
Unfortunately our large booking was booked into the smoking area without us being asked if we were smokers which was pretty terrible. Outside was mostly available so there were other places they could have put the booking.
Even though there was no one at the bar waiting to be served when I was there it seemed to take a long time for anyone to ask if I was being served which was odd.
The Raffles is a great all-rounder for afternoon beers or a date night.
We had a great lunch starting with the tasting seafood plate which came with lovely fresh oysters and crunchy whole fried shrimp/prawn as well as squid. Each of the 5 of us ordered something different and we all enjoyed the meal thoroughly. Our food arrived quite quickly and service was efficient and helpful overall. I would definitely come back again but due to to the inclement weather everyone was inside, which does make it quite noisy.
Serve staff were great. Food was good. Floor manager was rude and not very helpful.
We go to the Raffles on a regular basis and the service is always great, polite and smiling faces. The food is very good, in fact we have not had one bad meal there and maybe that's why we keep going back, also the pizza is one of, if not the best in Perth and we hope they don't lose the pizza Chiefs. We have been for the Pasta night too and all dishes were really really good, not to mention value for money, $20 with a glass of wine included in the price. One of our favourite dishes is the Octopus it is absoloutly fabulous.
The Raffles can be a little loud on the weekend but you certainly feel a buzz in the place as there are not only diners there but also plenty of people lining the bar. It's a great place and well worth a visit.
Didn't stay - far too noisy - just a booze barn where you had to shout to be heard - not really a restaurant.
We had a great time, the food was very good and the service (especially our waitress) was absolutely fantastic.
We had a gathering of 14 Friends service and food really good, we certainly werent rushed to leave which was lovely as we stayed a while chatting away. The food didnt come out all at once, this may have been from us splitting the Bill, it didnt spoil our fantastic day.
The food was good but $30 for a small piece of barramundi and salad was disappointing.
Either reduce the cost or make the meals more substantial.
I understand the pizzas are good and the mid week specials are popular.
I would like to say that the service was exceptional while Paige was on the deck , once her roster finished we were left to our own devises. It didn't wreck the occasion but it just meant that group chats were more broken up. It is still a nice spot to meet friends and hang out.
Our Table was cut-off from any drinks service at approx. 10.30pm
while this may look like a typical "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" believe me
IT'S NOT !!!!
After being informed that we would not be served anymore drinks
one of the Staff threw the Bill on the table in an aggressive manner.
I've told this story to over 15 people already and will be putting it on my Twitter Feed tonight
and then my FB page

Booked some time ago table for 6 thinking it was a standalone restaurant within the hotel. WRONG!!! We arrived to find a crowded bar, DJ and down a couple of steps to a dining area. We were shown to a small round table (really only suitable for 4) underneath a music speaker and about 3-4 metres from the DJ.....
We explained to the staff we had one friend who was hard of hearing yet to arrive - the rest of us couldnt hear each other, how was our friend going to cope? Staff did their best to accommodate us, but when we asked if the music could be turned down a bit they said no. Our friends arrived and we all decided we would have a drink and garlic bread and "see how we go". It was quite unbearable with us all shouting to have a conversation. We decided to leave and go elsewhere (Imperial Court Chinese on Melville Poe Como) - we had the best night and best authentic Chinese food ever.
Oh, by the way it was 6.20pm when we arrived at the Raffles, so hardly doof door music time - our group consisted of 2 in their late twenties, and 4 early fifties.
We will never try to dine at the raffles again.
I don't go out for dinner very often so when I do I like to experience food that I wouldn't cook at home. When presented with your menu I was immediately underwhelmed as your menus was very boring. Also upon arrival we were sat across from an open door to the outside (on a wet cold night) that I asked if the door could be closed. The waitress seemed annoyed that I had asked and tried to convince me that every time the door would be open there would be a draft. I replied "that would be better than freezing the whole night". I would have thought as you were not too busy that night that it may have made sense to just move us to a table not in the draft zone. At the end of the evening my friends and I decided to dance to your DJ which was disasterous as he either didn't have the music we requested or would overmix the songs that we liked. Worst DJ I have ever listen to.
Nice place, good atmosphere. Simple menu not over fussy which is ideal.
Excellent. Will go again soon. Great tapas .loved the menu. Great service . Easy online booking
Enjoyed the meal but found the lighting to be very subdued and it was difficult to read the menu. Thank goodness for phone torches.
A great venue for dinning , having drinks , catching up with friends or wanting to dance the night away with friends.
i been to raffles hotel couple of times, they never disappoint me . Good food , nice view , is really value for money .
Rang Raffles direct prior to bkg day to double check. They had us inside not outside as requested via Open Table. Were happy to change it to outside.
Great day, location and setting for small reunion of old friends. Only thing was Salt n Pepper squid serve very small .. not enough on its own. Will know for next time. Pizza good.
I have been to Raffles a lot over the years and the food/menu and the quality is definitely not at its previous standards. The menu is not a nice summers menu. Everything is carbs or deef fried or wintery, there was no fresh summer dishes. The share plate had slow cooked ribs on mash which were bland and should not be on a summer menu. There was no dips for the bread, they had grisini sticks on it which have no reason for being there. We did order a pizza as well as there were not great share options and it was nice. Overall, it was fine, just not as amazing as it used to be. I much preferres the days of getting oysters, sliders, pork belly, salads etc.
3 course set valentines meal was excellent, the steak was cooked to perfection and was fantastic value. We did also get a bottle of wine. $55 upon googling it to find where else I could buy it. It was a $23 dollar retail bottle. Nice but very steep wine prices here.
Always a great place to come. Staff are always attentive, food is excellent and latin dancing with Ben & Lillyanna on a Tuesday up stairs after all that. What more could you ask for !!
Special thanks Tony & staff.
Placed in a very loud area when I specifically asked for a quiet place for 4 people . Not enough staff. Took us 10 mins to find someone to pay- eventually went to bar to pay. Friends 50th not acknowledged even though it was stated time of booking.
We hadn't seen each other in a while and went to catch up. It was fine while we were standing close to each other to the bar. Once we moved to our table, I could barely hear what my friends on the other side of the table were saying - and it got even worse when the music was turned up at 8pm.
I went home with a sore throat from having to yell to be heard, and a feeling that I'd missed every third word of what was said to me.
Really nice venue with excellent staff. All food really well presented and of high quality. The dessert pizza was amazing. Definitely recommend
The food and atmosphere were great. However, it was a shame they have portioned such a large amount of the outdoor dining area to smoking areas as the smoke was blowing onto whilst we were eating dinner.
Returned for our staff Christmas party, was very enjoyable, only downside was we were outside in the smokers corner & none of us smoke so that was a bit of a let down, but as we didn't specify it wasn't the Raffles fault. Everybody enjoyed their meals but a lot of the wine wasn't available which is a shame as it is peak season you should be well stocked.
Greeted by one very rude male Manager who didn't even say hello he just demanded our booking name and stormed off directing us to a table outside.
When we asked if it was table service he just pointed at the outside bar and said order there while walking off. The wait staff were not very friendly. Both starters and mains had at least an hour wait and the pizza we ordered had next to no topping on it along with being undercooked. Very unimpressed and disappointed.
Great variety of quality tap beers @ reasonable prices. Very disappointed with our meals.
Great relaxed atmosphere. Menu was typical pub food. Was part of a group of 7. All enjoyed their meals, one stated it was the best steak burger he had ever had. I had the calamari and pumpkin salad - delicious! The outdoor area is perfect for a casual meal on a lovely sunny day.
Our waiter was very friendly and the food very tasty. I was quite disappointed though in the seating as I booked a month in advance and we were shoved in a small corner of the room that was very uncomfortable. Chairs were really uncomfortable too. Very loud inside which was fine but not a romantic venue.
We left as soon as we could! Went for dessert and coffee and quiet chat elsewhere. Way too noisy! Tables packed too closely to each other.
Food is always good and service attentive
Few things were a bit disappointing with our visit. The door was continually being left open and the breeze was filtering right in.. We had to get up and close it five or six times before being offered to move table. Would take a simple spring loaded hinge to make self closing.
Asked for a refill of our tap water three times before receiving.
Fire alarm went off and remained on for over 15minutes. Surely the management could put in place a cancel switch if it is a false alarm.
Food was lovely
Service was outstanding and pretty good value for money especially for a Friday lunch !
Excellent friendly service from the minute we walked in the door, all the way through to leaving.
Very clean and modern decor.
Great selection and something for everyone on the lunch time menu.
Fantastic menu, fresh oysters, extensive wine menu. Great night.
Absolutely delicious and amazing service. Loved our Friday night dinner.
Great food and ambience. The waitress that looked after us was exceptional. She always made sure that we always had a drink and was prompt and efficient.
