We had a pasta meal , the sauce tasted something out of a can .
Service was very good .
Service was slow at best, brought us the wrong drinks. Fine beachfront dining is a bit of a stretch.
The food was good. Very authentic. The service was great and we even saw a friendly face from home.
Everything was just okay. Nothing exceptional and nothing I would rush back to get. I think it was pricey for the quality. The view out the windows to the pool and ocean were definitely the best part in my opinion.
The steak was very good, lobster did not have any flavor. Service was not great, very slow, server was not very friendly.
Service was decent, food was just terrible. Had the swordfish, it was so dry I sent it back. Wife had the seafood pasta dish(can’t recall the actual name) it was not terrible but it wasn’t good either...had a hair in it, could have been hers at least that’s what we told ourselves...kiddo had the surf and turf which was actually ok. Key lime pie was just bad, what ever that neon green sauce they put on it is just bad. Tiramisu was hot and that’s just weird, flavor was decent. Overall it’s your typical resort restaurant with a captive audience. Steer clear if you can.
My sisters and I ate here 2 X during our 5 day stay we thouroughly enjoyed our experience. Good food and good service
service was bad took our order and never saw her again
The restaurant overall was a very good experience for my wife and I. We did enjoy the food but there wasn’t a whole lot of choices on the menu for food wise. However that would be my only knock against Rae’s. Our server Lloyd was great and he was very friendly.
Forgot our drinks until food was served. Waiter was not pleasant. Waiter/waitress did not check on us. Shrimp was very fresh and prepared nicely for my dish. My husbands dish was not as appealing but the shrimp was fresh and good too.
Service was horrible they need to do a better job at training the waitress. We ordered 2 appetizers received one and 20 minutes later we still had not received the second order. Our waitress no where to be found. Finally we cancelled the appetizer. Waited another 15 minutes to receive meal. No refill on water and no checking to see if we wanted more wine until we were done. Wine was not good, spaghetti bolognes was good, tiramisu was delicious. I would not go back.
We had a party of 6 adults and 3 children. 3 of the adults enjoyed their meals and had grouper, pork, and shrimp. I had the chicken and I felt it had been sitting for a while. The potatoes were fingerling, not mashed like the menu said, and the chicken was chewy and just didn't meet the expectation considering the name of the dish was Ida's favorite or famous chicken...something like that. Our server was very personable, helpful, and attentive. Rae's is a VERY small restaurant with limited hours, so I can see why you might need reservations. I had it built up in my mind, considering it was a very advertised restaurant by the resort. And I really try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but I was underwhelmed.
Excellent food and outstanding service! Ali, our waitress, was very nice and a great attitude. Her plate suggestions were on target. She is a great asset to your team.
Toni was an amazing server!!! Mario was very knowledgeable about the wine and suggested the perfect one. All the food was outstanding!!!
Service was good, attentive. Italian wedding soup all cheese. Never had Italian wedding soup made this way. Filet Mignon was well done, not medium rear as ordered. Pasta was good. My wife finished her dinner before they brought out the corrected Filet Mignon. Waitress & manager were apologetic and nice. No atmosphere in the restaurant. Selling point is seeing the sunset from your table. It wasn’t worth it. Pink Shell needs to reimagine this restaurant.
Amazing all around. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff was fantastic. The food was top notch. Highly recommend.
Service was good until other customers arrived. Had to ask to have our drinks refilled as my beverage was empty before the meal came. Food was good, however cut back on the fettuccine sauce, it was far too rich to eat the whole plate.
The food was great and service was outstanding
The views of the ocean are awesome
The food was delicious, and Thabi - our server was awesome! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Pink Shell or Ft. Myers Beach area.
The food was ok. The view was good. The staff who seated us seemed bothered that we were there, young and inexperienced. Wouldn't recommend.
Indoor dining. It food was decent. We ate there since we stayed at the resort and spent our time at the resort for the day. The special birthday accommodations never happened or was acknowledged. After spending $1000+ at the hotel, that is the least effect that can be done for a birthday request. Quite disappointed in that front. As for the food, it was good relative to hotel food.
Service was just ok.
Food was just ok.
Would of liked to see more items and selections on the menu.
Was hoping for nicer view and better bang for the buck.
Overall it was ok if you did not want to go outside of the resort.
Food was Ok not great. View of Gulf is spectacular
Our server Ali was awesome. There was a limited menu which didn't offer much. The Caesar salad was fresh and delicious, however they were served in warm bowls, that's a real no no in the restaurant industry. My husband has some pasta with seafood, shrimp, mussels, fish and calamari. He said it was delicious but a little spicier than what he was expecting. I had the meatball, which was delicious. 2 things to note for an Italian restaurant: they did not offer parmesan when they served our meals and they did not offer or even have any pasta spoons. We asked and was offered a teaspoon or a soup spoon. If you're Italian and eat pasta, you know what I'm talking about. The Moscato was also on point. They did not have espresso either. Great staff, great food, great staff, great views. Just missing a few key items to be a top level Italian restaurant.
We ate there twice on our stay and loved it each time. Great view of the sunset if you want to sit inside.
We enjoyed Rae’s several time already and enjoyed the food and service levels. When the restaurant is full the noise level is too loud. Definitely need better acoustics!
Having said that , we’ll go again, but pick a quieter less busy time slot. Fix the noise, and you’ll deserve a 5-star rating
1st year wedding anniversary
We were celebrating a friend's 65 birthday and she wanted to go to a nice restaurant on the beach with a view of the Gulf so we could watch the sunset from our table. The Manager was so kind to accommodate our request and gave us an awesome table next to the window with a perfect view to watch the sunset which was amazing! All of the courses were spectacular and did not disappoint. The appetizers, entrees, desserts and cocktails were spectacular! We will definitely return again soon.
Great Italian food!
First ones to dine and said they were out of Fettuccine noodles.. How could they if we were the first diners? It would be nice if we could understand the waitress.. She was very nice, but could barely understand her. Very expensive for a bad meal.
The staff was amazing. They were great with our two young children. The food was very good as well. We would definitely recommend.
Very disappointing. Not a great room, friendly but really slow service and average food at high prices
Caspar salad was good but the entrees were nothing special.
Awesome food and service. Ali our server was fabulous. The manager was great too. Get the triple tail fish and key lime pie and Cosmos.
Food was very good just surprised they do not have any open air seating.
Excellent food and fabulous service...
Great! Perfect view of sunset & quiet indoors with ac! Food was delicious!
Nice location and sweet server. The food was mediocre at best. Wouldn’t go back.
Food was great; service excellent; mussels & clams appetizer outstanding.
The food and service was good. The view was wonderful. My husband and I thought it was overpriced for the quality of food. We were dressed summer casual and the people at the table over had tank tops on. I expect more if I'm spending $100 per couple for dinner.
