Raclette is a restaurant located in New York City that specializes in serving French cuisine. The restaurant offers casual, family friendly dining in a French inspired atmosphere.
Raclette serves lunch and dinner daily and offers a variety of croques, tartines, raclettes and sides for diners to choose from. Croques are gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches and are available a variety of ways at Racelette, including with citrus roasted pork or with caramelized onion, leek fondue and roasted garlic. Tartines are open faced sandwiches with fine ingredients, including cauliflower, tomato and bufala mozzarella. Raclettes are rack melted Alpine cheeses that are scraped tableside and served with a Arugula salad and a slice of baguette.
Always love Raclette. There was a slight change to the cheese options since I last went but they still had the thermalized cheese so I was happy as I am sure others appreciate the larger selection of cheese.
A petite restaurant in downtown Manhatten.... very busy so reservations are a must. Great atmosphere and service from the staff. Choice on menu was small but classic ... with a fabulous choice of raclette cheeses.... I would highly recommend this restaurant for dinner.
Bad experience. We had an appointment and the bar was closed. The day before they sent me the confirmation and I accepted so we don't understand what happened.
Rachlette was wonderful! On our bucket list for our first trip to NYC. The cheese is very rich and most of us, even us cheese lovers, could not finish an entire plate. I recommend splitting one dish if the restaurant will allow it.
We loved this place, what's not to like,it's mounds of cheese. the restaurant and the tables were small and at first I thought it was going to be too crowded for us but it really wasn't. Our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and the food was just outrageous. We've been to Melting Pot and I just wanted to try something different. I have a friend who had gone to Europe a few years ago and she raved about this type of cheese so I've been dying to try it since she told me about it. Well worth the wait!
I was expecting more cheese; better service; less noise.
We went for our 1 year anniversary. It’s a small and crowded place, a little loud, but hey, it was a Saturday night in NYC.
it’s fun and tasty. A real different kind of meal. Portion sizes can be big, but that’s not an issue.
Cheese is mild and adds a great savory touch. Be ready to film and take foodie pics.
Absolutely delicious! A cheese lover's dream... definitely should be on any foodie's list. Word of caution - do not come expecting exceptional service.
Excellent Place, The food was really good, the service is really nice. i love the place. i highly recommend.
Small cozy restaurant with a really nice atmosphere. We love melted Raclette cheese, so this was just perfect!!
My girlfriend and I were more excited for Raclette than most of our other reservations during our stay in NY. I have to say we were both severely disappointed. I had never had Raclette before (the dish), but by all accounts from my girlfriend, they didn't really do the Swiss dish much honor. Supposedly, at a normal Raclette dining experience they keep the cheese coming and scrape off more than once. The whole point is cheesy indulgence; which none of us felt we got. The restaurant was small, cramped, and hot. The food was still pretty good, but just not what we were expecting or excited about.
What a wonderful find! Comfort food, taken up several notches. We discovered Raclette on our last trip to the city, and it was a definite "repeat" for this last time! Will 100% be there again!
We made a reservation for our anniversary, as I've heard the wait time can be very long. We were seated about 10-15 minutes after our actual reservation time, which was a bit annoying, but they were pretty busy. Service was fine and the food was outstanding. Cute little nook of a restaurant, nothing too fancy in terms of decor, but provided cozy vibes.
A fun little place that was very busy off the beaten path. My steak was small but tender, full of flavor and covered with fresh melted cheese over the top. Wine list - only four bottles - ended up drinking a bottle we did not like. Yes, we will return as the hamburger presentation looked great. Not sure if they are a BYOB but should be if aren't.
So let me say this place is an absolute gem. All of our servers and the team that greeted us were amazing. Thanks for making my best friends and my last meal in NYC for her birthday very special and delicious. Paulina was fabulous and took great care to ensue we had everything we needed. Tyler was gracious and our backpacks and a purchase we had made safely in the office. Such wonderful service, beautiful atmosphere, tasty food and overall a restaurant that no doubt makes Zagats list and belongs in codne nasts best restaurants lists. I plan to being more friends on my next visits to NYC. Thanks again Adam and Julie from Milwaukee, WI.
Unique dinning experience. Went for my daughter's birthday. She said it was the best meal she had ever had. She had the skirt steak. I had the burger which was a little dry as was the bun but I can overlook anything with all that yummy cheese. Tables so close together not a good place if you want an intimate meal or conversation. All in all I would go back though
Family visiting from the midwest wanted to go here. We'd tried a couple of times before unsuccessfully (no tables) so made reservation. It was very busy but we were seated fairly soon at a slightly tight table/booth near the kitchen. Service was pleasant and businesslike. The food was good and it is quite amazing to see that hot cheese applied at table. We enjoyed everything, ordered a good variety, but, sorry to say, I was unwell for the rest of the night. Got sick about an hour after dinner. Too much cheese? Maybe. Spouse was fine and didn't hear anything untoward from our guests. We'll probably go again.
Raclette was an amazing place to eat. The waiters were very friendly, and all the food options are spectacular.
One word, misspelled: cheeeeeeesssseee! One thing there is never too much of and raclette takes that to heart, the food that acts as a carrier for the swiss goodness is prepared quite well, the servers are very helpful and had plenty of knowledge aboht their beer and cidre selections. The dining room is just a bit cramped and therefore loud. But an overall fantastic experience
This was my second time here and let's just say I loved it my friends also . They had the burgers that was super good and the French cheese mmmmmm that it all . I am going back again the service was awesome and the place was very nice and clean
Los platos son muy sencillos, no tienen mucha elaboración, todos los ingredientes son de lata o de paquete. Lo único bueno es el show del queso y el queso en si.
Saludos
Perfect!!!
Saw a video on FB with an article a few months back and knew I had to go there my next trip to the City! I was not disappointed!!
Very cute place with really good food. It’s hard to have an intimate experience because of how close you are to other people. But nonetheless it was amazing food.
Had I great experience, very, very polite and charismatic staff, constantly asking if we needed something , but without being annoying, and the food , OMG, simply delicious , I had the parisiense, Just loved it , and highly recommend it . Thank you Piper and Jake ( waiters)
Amazing meal. They were also very accommodating about our reservation- we showed up early and with an additional person and still were seated super fast.
Set a reservation for this place after seeing accolades on social media. We spent 24 hours in NYC for a show and this made our must-do list.
The verdict: Worth every penny. Bring your wallet (not complaining, we expected it) and your appetite (definitely not complaining!). It's cozy and we had the first reservation of the day, so we were able to enjoy a bit of this small restaurant all by ourselves. By the time we left, it was full. Popular spot in the East Village.
The service was incredible. We explained that it was our first time, the server explained the menu in detail. We both ordered Parisienne - which included the cheese scrape over our potatoes - and the cauliflower tartine. I can't say enough about these dishes. Incredible. The presentation, the speed of service, the flavor combinations were amazing.
The only advice - and some may disagree - would be an investment into a bigger location. They'd still fill it, as popular as the restaurant is.
I do, however, look forward to visiting this spot again. It's quaint and cozy.
Thanks for the experience!
Main course arrived after 30 min. Starter didnt arrive after 1 hour so we cancelled it. Cheese was burnt at some parts. Food is foos though and service also except holding us with the starter.
Deliciosa comida, excelente servicio, gente amable, postres deliciosos, buenos vinos y buen precio. Recomendadísimo 😊
Quick and delicious food!, great portions and service. Keeping this place on my places to eat list!
Cheesy goodness!
Our table of 3 each got different varieties of cheese for our raclette meals and they were all delicious. The presentation and flavor of all of our food was excellent. Highly recommended for a unique dining experience!
Wonderful food in a pleasant atmosphere. Service is fine. Great value.
The food was very good but they are reducing the amount of cheese they gave you. I was disappointed because I always go there because of the melted cheese, of course.
The best cheese I've ever had would recommend anyone to try here
Love this place. Everything is great about the dining experience
Anniversary
We had reservations and still had to wait for a table, which was really no big deal, and chose to have a drink at the bar. The beer tap was hot and the cups kept filling up with atleast 50 percent foam. The bartender kept scooping the foam off with a spoon and eventually poured the beer out to start over and over. At 12 dollars a beer, I expected a decent tap. We were seated at our table and 30 minutes went by without seeing our waitress. I'm assuming it was the manager that came by and asked if we had questions about the menu. When I told him the we hadn't seen out waitress, he took our order promptly. We waited again about 25 minutes for our food. The food was good but not spectacular. After out food was served, we didn't see anyone else until we were finished eating. A lady came by to ask us if we wanted desert, which we declined, then another came by with the bill. I would not recommend this place for dinner. It's pretty costly to be treated with disregard.
Great place, great food and great service. Take a lot of photos!
Great food and great staff!
The food is as good as it is photogenic. The cheese may be the star, but the vegetables and steak underneath it is on point. The Mac and cheese is a gem. It’s beautifully balanced and doesn’t try too hard. The wine was a tad bit expensive for such a small glass but on the balance, it didn’t take away from a very enjoyable meal.
