First opened to the public in 1984 as the Raceview Tavern, The Raceview Hotel has been a favourite in town ever since. The actual food was quite delicious but as a family with children , we were disappointed to find no icecream. Us along with others had upset children that couldn't get their usual dessert. If we had of been told on booking or when we arrived we would of gone elsewhere.

Food was mediocre at best and at times bland and severely overpriced if ordering from the menu. Buffet is as expect basic foods to cater to everyone’s taste so somewhat enjoyable. Cocktails were slightly overpriced and underwhelming in taste and presentation as well.

Certainly not worth the money. Food was cold and tasteless Roast vegetables inedible Would never recommend buffet to anyone.

I don't know how long the lamb chops have been on the menu, but I hope they are permanent. They were the best lamb chops I've ever had and they were the best part of my meal. The rest of the food was great as it usually is but those lamb chops were amazing!

I have been to this venue multiple times now and happy with the food and service everytime. There is always lots of variety of savoury and sweet food to choose from. Highly recommended if you haven't been yet.

Our reservation was for 12.45pm but the food wasn't topped up when we got there. It was like eating off scraps. Was disappointed because we've visited Raceview Tavern before on several occasions and it wasn't this bad. Not sure what happened with the planning but would have thought a buffet means plentiful of choices. Mary

There was next to nothing in there all you can eat buffet .we booked the 630 table and alot of d8shes were cold or had nothing in them The Asian dishes were poor as well as hot food very poor or dried out as it had been cooked long time. .. Did not get moneys worth for the amount we all payed and next to nothing in alot of the dishes . Very bad
