It was great!
The food was amazing. There’s was only one person there serving and cooking so I’m glad my friend and I went early. The rabbit is the way to go.
Did the omakase for my birthday. The food was delicious and impressive, the outdoor dining felt safe and cozy, and the chef was engaging and kind. Wonderful experience!
Really slow service and food prep. Sat on the sidewalk for 3 hours to get through the meal. Dishes were small and lack depth of flavor, almost gimmicky. Some were good but not worth the wait and portion size. Left still hungry
Sitting outside was nice; food was prepared to order; limited menu. It was fun. Don't order a drink without looking at the menu. A shot of scotch was $25.00 and while good, not worth it. This was a groupon deal and many expenses were put on the final bill that were not in the fine print. Overall an interesting experience and good food and everyone tried very hard and couldn't have been nicer.
I have always been a big fan of Rabbit House at the old location. The new Rabbit House is even better, nicely decorated and more upscale. Menu has been updated, with some new dishes and an expanded tasting menu. Chef Yoshika is extremely talented and creative. Food is comparable to fancy restaurants, with a large selection of fine sake. Price is more than reasonable. All prices include tax & tips!!!
Uniqe experience, memorable. Chef/owner personal service unlike any restaurant that I have been to.
Rabbit House is my absolute favorite restaurant in New York City. It's where we've gone for our anniversary, two of my birthdays, New Year's Eve with friends from out of town, and now Valentine's Day. At each of these celebrations, the service was absolutely incredible--I cannot imagine kinder, more attentive service. This is not the place to go if you're incredibly picky, but if you're adventurous and open to exploring the chef's creative palette, I recommend the omakase. My favorite dishes are their ponzu mushrooms, artichoke spread (hear me out! It has miso in it), and the black sesame pudding. The atmosphere can't be beat, a soothing escape from downtown's sensory overload.
