The Queen Anne Victorian at 210 Savannah Road in Lewes, DE has stood tall for over 100 years. Built in 1899, Captain W. “Diver” Johnston at the age of 52 collaborated with his business partner (William H. Virden) to build a beautiful new house for him and his wife, Isabella. Records indicate that he paid $400 for the entire lot, one of the most prominent sites in downtown Lewes.Over the next 100 years, the Victorian structure built in the style of Eastlake, an English architect, served as a home for many families, including longtime Lewes Mayor, Otis Smith.

The team at Raas is proud to continue the story of the Queen Anne Victorian. Each chapter of the building’s history has added to its charm and we at Raas are excited for its next chapter.

Our team’s interpretation of the word "Raas" is a celebration of food and culture while showcasing the medicinal value of Indian cuisine.

A half hour passed between the time we sat down and someone came by to get our drink order. The service was spotty, it seemed understaffed. Food was excellent and overall we enjoyed the webbing

We got the whole fish Red Snapper, as usual, and it was excellent, as usual. Raas is our go to place when we want to celebrate an occasion.

The food is really good here! We had 2 appetizers and 3 entrees The last time I was there they had background music on which was really nice. If they did last night, you could just barely hear it and it would have been better for the overall ambiance. Main room tastefully decorated with a nice bar and high tops in an adjacent room. They have recently added lunch and the menu looked great, so I'd love to try that. This was my 3rd time to the restaurant and we have all always been very happy with our dinner. I must add that we are a picky group!

The butter chicken is so good. Everything is always very delicious. They’ve recently streamlined the menu a bit and reduced prices. Makes it less expensive to enjoy yummy Indian food more often. Go. You’ll like it a lot.

Raas offers the tastiest Indian food at the beach! So many creative gourmet options and all were so delicious!! I am a huge fan and would recommend this restaurant for anyone craving an amazing dinner!!

This was our first visit to Raas….. first impression was a very impressive Victorian building in a beautiful blue with white trim. Upon entering, we were seated in a very bright and inviting environment, room with a good view of the bar and a lovely window by our table. The bar is pretty impressive, and everything is remarkably clean and inviting. We were served by Jason who knows the menu backward and forward as well as the bar. We ordered the lamb small plate to share, followed by the goat Kashmiri and the butter chicken. We complemented that with Missi Roti and lacchi paratha. The food presentation and quality were above standard and exceeded our expectations. Jason was attentive, friendly, professional, and our visit was fabulous. We will definitely be back again and again..

Raas continues to serve up the finest Indian cuisine to be had practically anywhere. The flavors are wonderful, presentation is lovely and service spot on. Recommend this highly for anyone with a taste for SE Asia.

The most hideous presentation of HIGH TEA possible. Called a month ago asking if TEA was classic High Tea and was told yes. Wrong it was fried Indian food appetizers with cheap supermarket pastries. See the top tier of “pastries” $100 price for two.
