I would love to go back when it’s nicer weather here in philly it snowed so the sky’s wasn’t clear but we still had a great time. Food was amazing, staff was great I loved the dark candle light setting. Price was way less then what we expected for table of 6 with food and drinks. I will be going back for date night.

R2L is the perfect place for a romantic date. Me and my fiancé had an amazing time. The food was so good and the the servers were all attentive. We had a window seating and the view was breathtaking. Overall, we had a great time! Can’t wait to go back.

Didn’t think they were prepared enough for Valentine’s Day- made a reservation- had to wait 20 minutes to get a seat. Sever not too attentive- drinks from the bar took at least 10 minutes each time we ordered. Portions small but delicious.

Vanilla cake was the best dessert
I have ever had. How do they get the cream to stay inside? Definitely get the lobster Mac and cheese and the nachos. Sashimi also was amazing.

Good ambience, service was ok (although i requested a window seat weeks in advance & paid the deposit required for the reservation.. a window seat was not what we got , when we arrived, there were plenty of available tables with the window view. After being seated, i asked the server about the window seating, she quickly responded that those were for guests who made an $85 deposit beforehand.(no such thing mentioned when we booked the reservation). With that, the experience at R2L did not start good. Food was not what we expected either, both appetizers & entrees (bland). If you're looking to dine in a quiet, romantic setting (window seat a bonus) then R2L is a restaurant I'd recommend. However, if you're looking to satisfy your appetite with a delightful & enjoyable meal? I'd suggest looking elsewhere to dine. 😒

I loved the dining. It was not my first time but I took a friend on a nice date to celebrate the success we had both had that week in our business. It was an amazing time to sit back and enjoy all of our hard work.

Disappointed. We went for our 2 year anniversary and I felt uncomfortable and embarrassed with the restaurant. I have been here before and have always had a great time, but not this time unfortunately. Our waiter was distant, and when asking for my id ( i look young, I understand the need to ask) he held it up to every light for much longer than necessary to where both tables on either side of us were looking, I felt embarrassed. He then asked us 3 times if we wanted a starter, which we declined three times in ONE conversation. He seemed almost offended that we weren't ordering more food. Our food came out within 10 minutes, Our waiter asked us If Our food looked okay, and then we did not see him again until 45 minutes AFTER we finished eating to clear our plates. We sat with dirtied plates in front of us for over a half an hour. The rest of the night continued the same way. All in all, as much as I love the restaurant, I don't know if I will ever be back. We were treated like we were kids playing dress up and couldn't afford to be there. It was embarrassing and Insulting.

I was not at all impressed with my experience. We were not able to sit by the window, but it would not have mattered since it was raining and very cloudy. We did not order appetizers, and our main entrees came out within 15 minutes, which normally I would love, but it felt as though we were being rushed for not getting appetizers. Then, it took about 20 minutes after we finished our food for it to be cleared, and another 20 minutes to be asked about what we wanted for dessert. The only thing that saved the tip was they brought out a complementary dessert for our anniversary. The prices were high, which I fully understand why, but not worth the experience we had. For the money that I paid, I was not at all impressed.

We loved the atmosphere, the view was AMAZING. Unfortunately our dining experience there was not. We had an 8:30 reservation and we were not sat until 9:15. Fortunately for us the view kept us occupied . When we were finally sat at the table the waiter was very professional and accommodating. The food was mediocre at best. If I was to return to there again it would probably be for cocktails and some appetizers.

Interesting menu -lots of flavorful options. Portions were pretty big. We enjoyed the cocktails - because the wine list was too extravagant for us. We were not rushed at all, but not seating in spot where we could appreciate the view. Odd though that we could see the basketball game on the tv in the bar area...

We went for our one year anniversary and were treated like royalty! It’s all in the details here. We greeted by our server who immediately congratulated us on our anniversary. They had champagne on the table waiting for us! Every detail was perfect. And as for the food and the views - they speak for themselves! Will absolutely go back!

The Arugula/Mushroom Flatbread, 2 1/2 LB Lobster, Mac & Cheese were delicious. My fiancé ordered the Salmon and Cheddar Grits and he said it was tasty. The only thing was, it was our Anniversary and we requested a table with a view but they sat us next to the bar. It would’ve been nice if we had a view, it would’ve been more romantic. But overall, we enjoyed ourselves and the food is good and we will come back.

OUTSTANDING in every respect. The trio of seafood appetizer was interesting with the variety of sauces and the duo of filet and short rib had a variety of texture and taste that were perfectly complimented by the Cabernet reduction. You will not be disappointed with the meal or the very attentive respectful service !!

The highlight of this restaurant is the view. I didn't have a window seat but was still able to appreciate looking over the city. The service and food was just ok. I felt several members of the staff were pretentious. As for the food, it just wasn't memorable in a foodie town like Philadelphia. If I were to return it would probably just be for drinks.

Dinner was absolutely delicious. Our waitress Linda was the best. She acknowledged our color coordinated attire. She was very personable and welcoming. She asked us if there was a special occasion. We stated early Valentine’s Day. When our desserts came out, written in chocolate was happy Valentine’s Day. Those little touches went a long way for my husband and I.
All of the staff and the manger were attentive and courteous. Every year we dine out for restaurant week to experience new restaurants. This was definitely a restaurant we would visit again.

The only down side was the family across from us whose older child was sprawled out laying in the booth with his feet dangling out. I don’t understand why this was considered appropriate for a restaurant of such high quality. To spend an evening out and seeing behavior acceptable for a fast food chain was a little disconcerting.

We dined here one evening during restaurant week. The food was very salty and portions tiny. The atmosphere is beautiful if you get close enough to a window. Our waiter, Aaron, was not very accommodating. One example, I asked if I could let him know what dessert choice I wanted after finishing my entree and he told me "No, you have to decide now." Maybe going on restaurant week is not a good representation, but I definitely would not return for that again.
