R2L offers a sophisticated menu and a sleek dining space that has an amazing view of the Philadelphia skyline. Situated in the 37th floor of Two Liberty Place, the wall-to-wall windows allow guests to dine in a totally urban setting. The open kitchen and the hand-crafted cocktail menu complete the R2L experience.
Start your meal with lobster bisque or tuna sashimi, followed by a main course of old country braised pork or vegan roasted cauliflower. Veal, sole and lobster tail are usually on the rotating menu and guests should always try the R2L dessert menu which includes milk chocolate hazelnut gateau or pumpkin spice cheesecake.

R2L Ratings and Reviews
This place was a recommendation from a friend. I was expecting to find something that I did not like and tried hard to but to my surprise everything was on point. They have really high standards, as they should, and should feel proud of the establishment that they run. The whole experience from the beginning to the end was great. Definitely going back for seconds.
R2L offers spectacular soaring views of the City of Philadelphia, but doesn't stand nearly as tall in the city restaurant landscape. At $30 - $50 a plate, R2L's menu options lack creativity or individuality of Fork or Townsend, and fall short on size compared to Del Frisco's or Butcher & Singer. Service is friendly, but isn't nearly as correct as the ambiance would suggest.
Come for the views, have a drink and a bite, but look for other options if you want to sample Philadelphia foodie scene.
It was my boyfriends birthday also his first time at the restaurant and he LOVED IT , from the drinks to the food and the last but not least Birthday Dessert... We really enjoyed our selves he tore the rib eye up, the salmon was perfect also the Mac and cheese , we will definitely be back!!
I took 9 friends here for my birthday. They flew in from various parts of the US.
The service is so below the ambiance and food. The sever was very nice and in over his head and was not trained to serve at this level of place. I worked all night to keep things moving.
I have not had a chance to review my receipt but something was off with the bill. The total with tax came under the $200 Deposit I had provided prior to assure a window seat. I think the final bill was $247 way over what the gratuity on our food and drink bill would have been. I paid the deposit and my husband paid the final bill which is part of the reason I did not catch the issue at the time. Food , drink and service were great but I need to understand what happened with the deposit and final bill.
The place is beautiful. The seating, the uniforms, the bar, the view, all very aesthetically pleasing. It's a fantastic place to eat and have a great time. The food is phenomenal. I do think the pricing is a bit steep though. $14 dollars for a flatbread with arugula and a sauce is a bit much, as is $40 for a pork chop, but I can't say anything else negative at all. I'd gladly come back. It's an amazing place to experience. The chefs, wait staff, greeters, everyone....should be proud to work there and proud of what they do! Keep it up!
It was our Twins Birthday. Ciara was soo helpful and accommodating on the phone.
Our waitress Kathy was awesome!
Food was great. Had both the red velvet and chocolate birthday cakes!
Both delicious, but the Red velvet was the Best we ever Had!
My family loved the experience!
This was me and my husbands 4 year anniversary and R2L made it the best one yet. A table to watch the sun set, complimentary amuse bouce and appetizer from the chef and pastries. The food was spectacular and the service was phenomenal. We will be coming back a lot for dinner and for the fabulous bar also. Thanks to every single one of the staff members that made the night so special.
Had reservations for 9:30, but still waited almost 45 minutes for our table. Our server came over to greet us, took a drink order, and then disappeared for 20 minutes. When he finally came back he didn't even take our order. We had to prompt him and let him know that we had been waiting well over an hour to eat. Food was better than what we expected from other reviews, but service is not their thing!
Went to R2L on a Saturday for birthday celebration. Food was very good, service excellent. We had a small issue with an empty wine glass being dropped and management more than compensated us for the minor distraction. Ambiance is romantic but non-window tables are too close to one another. Great view of the sunset and city. Overall a great evening and would visit again.
After sitting on a sofa near the bar we waited over 15 minutes and still no server approached. When I finally got up and headed to the bar to get a drink myself a young Asian server came over and asked me if I wanted a drink? I told her, "What do you think? I'm not here just to look out the window!" She got the drink order wrong and was not friendly at all.
Food was overpriced and just "ok" Save your money and go somewhere else.
Really excellent Dining experience. Food was great, you could tell the Chef wa stop notch the way every flavor popped in every course. Service was spectacular and Views were Incredible. Has to be one of the best if not the best scenic view of any city restaurant.
Our favorite place in Philly. Best view over the City, best service, food is high quality and creative. Definitley worth the price for the full package - service, ambience, view & cuisine. Book 30 minutes before sunset for the full sunset experience. Not a bad seat in the house.
Overall my experience was not the best at R2L on Saturday night. There seemed to be a bit of confusion with the hostess and our seating situation. We got upstairs and we're told by the hostess who was a woman, to wait and she would be back and left and we didn't see her again. Then a gentlemen asked if we were being helped, I explained the situation about the woman who disappeared and he said he would assist us. He then told us the table was ready, we hittknthe table only to find out that it was not, so we had to go back to the hostess stand and wait a bit longer to be seated and we had a reservation for 10pm. Even after being seated we did not have silverware on our table and had to wait for that. Once the silverware was put on the table, it was just laid out and not put on any dinner napkins, and the table was not wiped off properly. We did not get seated til about 10:45. After being seated, our waitress was amazing and the food was excellent. She made our overall experience a great one. I would say the staff may just need better communication across the board about the reservation and seating situation.
The prepared dishes came with too much flare. I'd the grits and roasted chicken. The grits had too many other things going on on the plate, pearl onions were huge. The chicken had too many addl sauces. The bread and butter was devine...coulda used more. The service although good became less attentive throughout the stay. My date had the salmon and Mac & cheese. The view although not a window seat was lovely.
Brought my friend from England here as our treat to ourselves. Didn't disappoint. Food was absolutely delicious, service was very friendly and in no way pushy. We were lucky enough to get a window seat so we're able to see the lights and vibrancy of Philly while we talked and ate. It's not cheap to eat but we knew that going in, and for a special occasion it really is worth it!
It was our first time to R2L - really luck of the draw from a magazine in our hotel. It was a great experience - clearly exceeding any expectations we had. A great view of the city sky line and a beautiful sunset to boot. The menu had terrific offerings, while I had a simple appetizer for dinner my wife had the Mahi-Mahi and raved about it. The service was great and our server was readily available without hovering
We went for our anniversary and although I tried to get window seat was unsuccessful, make sure plan ahead if you want one. Anton our server was excellent- very pleasant . Our food was excellent my wife steak was just delicious . I had the catch of the day which was cod, perhaps a tad under seasoned but the purée made up for it! Great ambiance we'd go again.
