R2L offers a sophisticated menu and a sleek dining space that has an amazing view of the Philadelphia skyline. Situated in the 37th floor of Two Liberty Place, the wall-to-wall windows allow guests to dine in a totally urban setting. The open kitchen and the hand-crafted cocktail menu complete the R2L experience.
Start your meal with lobster bisque or tuna sashimi, followed by a main course of old country braised pork or vegan roasted cauliflower. Veal, sole and lobster tail are usually on the rotating menu and guests should always try the R2L dessert menu which includes milk chocolate hazelnut gateau or pumpkin spice cheesecake.

R2L Ratings and Reviews
Awesome. The views were spectacular! But, the best part was the Chef’s cuisine. It was fantastic food! Simply delicious. I’ve been to many restaurants, even had a food blog, but took a chance on this place and it did not disappoint! This Chef should be doing challenges against the very best!! Why is he not on Top Chef? Why is he not trying to beat Bobby Flay? Why doesn’t he have a James Beard Award? I was a fan after my appetizer and the hits kept on coming! This place for all it’s wonderful service, atmosphere, views and just plain good cooking is not to be missed! On point! On Fleek! On my list of #1 best restaurants in Philly!
The food was good with the exception of the risotto being a bit too salty. Veal was cooked and seasoned well. The lemon parfait was creamy but the cherry tomato didn’t fit well in the dessert. The service was quick in the beginning, however it became sluggish and slow. We waited a while for desserts to come out when the restaurant wasn’t as busy, server forgot to put in our sides, and the attention to detail was lacking. Something like filling a glass of water shouldn’t have to be brought to their attention. I assumed the server told the manager about forgetting the side orders, because he came over to check on us and offered to get us anything such as coffee or tea. That was very nice of him however we didn’t care for any beverages, but appreciated the gesture. Our server was not the most pleasant individual, she didn’t seem like she wanted another table and our reservation at 8:30pm wasn’t that late to warrant such attitude. I didn’t really like how she snatch the bill with my credit card from the table. Overall I would give R2L a 3 star at best.
What a Great Find!
Spectacular Unparalleled Views!
Amazing Professional Service!
My family visited for our daughter’s 23 Birthday and it was Pure Pleasure.
The Servers Wore 3 Piece Suits but there Wasn’t Anything Stuffy!

We rang in the New Year at R2L. It was our first visit and we were blown away by the view, and the food and service (Hannah) were equally impressive. It was a splurge, for sure, but worth it . The only negative was the pretty awful band that was blasted over a PA at a ridiculous volume. Our server got them to turn it down and hopefully R2L will book better talent next year.
My fiance and I made plans for dinner here for New Years Eve. We wanted to have a romantic dinner before we partied the night away. The ambiance was great, it was perfectly lit up. Unfortunately, we did not have a window seat- the view was spectacular. Still, we enjoyed ourselves. The servers were all very attentive and were professional. To start, I had the gnocchi and my fiance had the shrimp. We both loved our dishes. For the main, I had the vegan cauliflower, which wasn't anything spectacular but decent enough and my fiance loved his braised short rib + filet duo. We also had the flatbread to share which was okay. Desserts were great- the warm vanilla cake was my favorite. My fiance had the alaskan which was also very good. Drinks are like 12/13 bucks minimum, fyi. The place is a bit pricey, but the views are great. We had a great time!
We went on New Years and the experience fell short of expectations. We booked through Open Table and it was unclear you have to pay for the New Years menu in advance. The restaurant called to let us know, and we missed the call, so they cancelled the reservation. No voicemail or anything! Luckily they were eventually able to seat us after a lot of conversation. The servings were pretty small. For example, the potatoes that came with the steak for two were actually 1 thin crispy fried potato disk (about 2 inches in diameter) for each of us over the mushrooms. The quality of the food wasn't bad, but could find just as good food for lower price with better service elsewhere. If we went when they were serving the regular menu we might have been more satisfied.
Love this restaurant. So happy I found it through a friend! I will keep coming back! Impeccable service! Restaurant host was amazing on 12/28.8pm. Bartender was wonderful too and waiter! Thankyou to the staff that night! Even check in was nice. Lovely place, people and night!
We wanted to dine at a place that had views of Philadelphia. We thought this would mean a touristy experience. Instead, we were treated to spectacular views, excellent service and an innovative menu. Not everything hit the mark, but the buratta and the unusual crispy nachos were delicious.
Lovely interior; coat staff and waiter staff are awesome; decent drinks.
THE WORST FOOD FLAVORS EVER!
I have heard bad reviews about this place 7 years back and went here regardless of warnings!!!
Ugh (facepalm) how do you manage to screw up a simple grilled shrimp (charred black with excessive amount of pepper <thumb down> and serve brown avocado in a trio that u changing $24 for??? The money is not the issue the flavor and quality of the food definitely is!!!
Or don’t even get me started on a spinach mushroom side- literally undercooked n no flavor!!!!
Came out from that place with a sour taste in my mouth - WOULD NEVER EVER GO BACK HERE!!!
If you are really hooked on dining at a place with you - you will be better of at XIX but with better tasting food!
R2L is the best dining experience I have had in Philadelphia. It is my favorite place to eat dinner.the venue is beautiful and quiet, the scenery from the top floor of Liberty Place is exception (especially at sundown), the staff is friendly and attentive (especially Brittney) and the floor is wonderful. Everything I have ever gotten has been outstanding and my friends love their food too. I only eat limited vegetarian but always find delicious choices to select from. Too pricey for regular dining for me but at least a few times a year, I like to treat myself and friends to a fabulous dining experiences. We are never disappointed!!!
Do not recommend for special occasions. Large group was very noisy and inappropriate. Service was ok. Food was good. Prices were high for the value. We were moved to another table away from the noisy table. Unfortunately the ship had sailed.
My wife and I were expecting a nice quiet evening for our 35th Anniversary. First off, I thought the attire was supposed to be business casual, which some people were wearing jeans and sneakers.,I previously made arrangements to have martinis waiting, for us. Didn't happen. The people sitting next to us were so loud, we couldn't even have a nice quiet conversation. And with putting a $250 deposit down to have a window seat, we were not happy. On top of this, we were told we needed to spend up to the $250 and on top of that, a 20% tip was added to the bill for 2 people. I would not recommend this place if you want to spend a nice, quiet evening out.
