The open kitchen and the hand-crafted cocktail menu complete the R2L experience.
Start your meal with lobster bisque or tuna sashimi, followed by a main course of old country braised pork or vegan roasted cauliflower. Veal, sole and lobster tail are usually on the rotating menu and guests should always try the R2L dessert menu which includes milk chocolate hazelnut gateau or pumpkin spice cheesecake.

Went here for an anniversary dinner. I tried to reserve a window table, but it was too late when I reserved. To our surprise when we arrived, we had a window seat and an outstanding view of the city. Service was wonderful and the food was worth it. I would absolutely visit this place again....if just for the view....and the Oysters.
EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT AND THE SERVER VERY NICE , THE VIEW OF THE CITY WAS GREAT PLUS THE ANNIVERSARY MY PARTNER WAS VERYSURPRISED AND SHE REALLY ENJOYED EVERYTHING AS WELL, THANKS R2L!!
It was such a wonderful experience. Definitely will go again!!
Nice layout, but a let down due to the seating. I asked for a window seat or at least a booth. Nope, I was placed right next to the bar in the middle of everyone. This was a date with my girlfriend after not seeing her for 3 months, so we were celebrating our Valentine’s Day. The seating really was a let down and the awkward apartment like entrance to the elevator. Definitely disappointed, and the front desk attendants were lost in their chatting.
This was an amazing experience. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Food very good. Service excellent!!!
But too noisy and music selection very poor!! If they would change music to soft jazz(I.e. Billie Holiday, Chet Baker etc. ) and turn the volume down it would improve the ambiance 1000%
R2L made our 25th anniversary very special. The food was terrific, the ambiance was great and the staff was very friendly.
R2L was great. They were able to accommodate my wishes of having a window seat on a last min booking which I was able to propose to my girlfriend. Definitely recommend it
Beautiful view even if you don't reserve a window table. The drinks are expensive but strong. The food was good.
Delicious food, excellent service and loved the fantastic view at sunset.
My evening was 10000000 times better than expected ! We will be back soon !
Food was amazing, service was spot on, waiter and waitresses were knowledgeable pertaining to the menu. Overall a great experience.
The view is spectacular but the food is superb. If you are looking for your senses to be wowed the only place is R2L. I was transported to paradise the moment I entered R2L. The service was great and the ambiance was relaxing. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Food was pretty bad, tasted like old oil. The salad was over dressed and the dressing had too much mustard and vinegar in it. Cool view, excellent service. We had a gift card we had to use, but won’t be coming back.
R2L is a great spot for a business meeting, service is spectacular. Food portions are perfect.
Service was overbearing. Food was ok
Everything the way I ask for.
i️t was a good time with nice food and phenomenal view
Wonderful night, gracious staff and incredible food. The lobster bisque is elegant, one of the best in Philly. Perfectly cooked filet, the halibut special on puréed cauliflower was incredible. Lobster Mac and cheese was more lobster than anything else and worth every penny and bite.
Do yourself a favor and splurge on your carb free diet here and get the vanilla lava cake... nextworldly
All in all it was a good experience. We didn’t get seated until almost an hour past our reservation then ended up waiting just as long for the food to come out. I don’t know if they were understaffed or over booked but the staff was very polite and apologetic. The food was good but I’ve had better the scene makes the restaurant. Great atmosphere would go back.
One of the best meals we’ve had in Philly!!
Food, drinks, service, atmosphere were all enjoyable! Can’t wait to go back!
Superb service. Awesome view of the city. Mae sure to get a window seat.
Great experience, staff very helpful and Professional. Wonderful views and the food was excellent.
Last night in Philly and could not have ask for a better venue, environment, food and service than what we had at R2L. Although it was cloudy and not great vista and sunset we had a great evening. Would definitely come again.
It was a really nice date with my boyfriend after not being able to have much nights together due to our work schedules. The service here is beyond amazing. The staff goes the extra mile for you and working in retail, I know how it feels to not be acknowledged or greeted as soon as you enter but they really give you their attention. I really appreciated that they gave us a window seat even when I didn't reserve it online. It just made the night for us even better than we expected so thank you for the wonderful experience.
Food was awesome , Alil more food options for vegans / vegetarians. Service was a 4 out of 10 maybe because it was late but we were seated for 20 mins before a server came. Ask to celebrate wife’s birthday through open table and did not receive nor was my wife acknowledged.
In order to secure a window seat you must pre-pay $170.00 to guarantee that you spend enough.I don't have a huge problem with that since I was probably going to spend that anyway, however a 20% automatic gratuity added to the bill for my large party of 2 is ridiculous.
Service was great and I'm a minimum 20% tipper anyway but again the 2 mandatory $$ left me feeling somewhat used and abused.
It was wonderful
My Wife and I had a great time. My Wife is a Chef and could say nothing but good things about the meal and it's presentation. Thank you staff at R2L for such a wonderful experience.
R2L is all about the experience: stunning views of the city below, romantic atmosphere within the restaurant, excellent/friendly service-- but the food's not bad, either. I'd come back for another quiet weeknight dinner the next time I have an excuse to celebrate something (and $42 to spend on an admittedly delicious fish).
The food was amazing and our waiter was friendly and attentive. I will come back the next time I’m in Philly
My husband and I went to R2L for our anniversary. This is probably our 6th time at this restaurant. it was always a favorite, but both service and food has fell off from our last visit. We spent $265 and was not happy with the food. Cocktails were still great! And of course we love the view - priceless.. I ordered the seafood boil, it had no flavor and was too salty. seasoning clearly was just salt and water. and the lobster bisque used to be amazing, that fell off..highly disappointment. We'll probably go back for drinks in the lounge area, but would skip on food.
I had an amazing time with my colleagues on my birthday at r2L. It’s a beautiful place to be. Y’all need to check it out! The reception was exceptional, the view was epic and the overall atmosphere was great! Professional staffs!
Can’t wait to visit again!
We loved our waitress, Hannah. She has a great sense of humor and it was a pleasure having her wait on us.
I recently got accepted to Temple U so I was looking for a place to celebrate. I chose the restaurant for the breath taking views of Philadelphia. They were so nice, they were able to find us a window table viewing the sunset and it was great! Food was outstanding, my steak was cooked perfect. Service was superb. Vanilla cake was to die for. Would highly recommend stopping in for a date or Special occasion.
We went there on our usual date nite(sat.),10 pm reservations, wasn't having dinner at that time of nite ,that being said , we had (2) cocktails (1) appetizer (trio) n the white cake dessert with (1) cappuccino $75 !!! + tip , r u kidding me ! This is a 3 star restaurant at best , way over priced, I guess your charging for the 37th floor views ,the higher u go the more u pay ! Nuff said
Was a great choice for a anniversary dinner. The Food was great from the appetizer down to the main course meal. The view is perfect and the waitress was great she goes by the name of Hannah. I also enjoyed the good drinks this place is just a good vibe .
Great atmosphere, classy place, highly recommended for special occasions. I wish they didn't have us waiting about 15min to be seated while they are so "fancy" about reservations.
