Everything was beautiful
Yes, I would. R2L is worth it just for the view alone. The view is spectacular. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious as well. I would recommend very highly.
Food was delicious. Loved the ambiance. The staff, super nice.
I found R2L a lovely space. Large bar with spectacular views. Excellent cocktails. Very attentive service. The food was good but not outstanding. My pork was flavorful but tough. Sides were good and dessert was quite good. I’d go back for happy hour — a drink and the view.
Everything is wonderful at R2L: the food, the service, and of course the amazing view.
We enjoyed our dinner at R2L during restaurant week. It was fun to try somewhere we hadn’t been before. We were seated in an area without a view and told we would have had to give an additional deposit in order to secure a window seat. We were already annoyed at having to give a deposit at all. The food was nice though not perfect. The service was friendly but rushed. Cocktails were over sweet.
Everything was great. My fiance and I were celebrating our 10 year anniversary. Our server was great. Food came out surprisingly very fast and everything was wonderful. We will definitely be back in the future.
It was misleading that for $175 reservation, I thought we had reserved a window table, but it was because our party was 6 or more. This should be clearer.
Incredible service and ambiance. Classy and professional service. Best view from any restaurant. This is what you are paying for though. Food was okay, the portions for the main course were hilariously small. I'm not sure if it was just because it was restaurant week, but the "Sliced Filet and pulled short rib & potatoes" was two bites of steak (about a square inch each) and maybe 3-4 mini potatoes cut up in fourths.
Staff was so nice and helpful. Kitchen tailored to my dairy and soy allergy, no problem. Handcrafted cocktails were delicious, as was the food. The scenery outside is beautiful. Would go again.
Ever item we had on the menu was very flavorful. Hope to be back soon.
Went there for restaurant week and although our options were obviously limited the food was still amazing! Great view and impeccable service.
Good food just very small portions
This place is amazing! The food is so good. The staff is so pleasant!!!!
It was awesome experience! Our host was friendly and helpful and they were very accommodating to my shellfish and nut allergy. The food was amazing and flavorful. I will definitely be coming back again!
No complaints very classy
With the new 4 seasons in town, R2L is now, eh just okay. If you are not by a window, it's not worth it.
It was a friends birthday and the host was kind enough to not only remember but to make a special dessert for my friend. 🥰❤️
We had a very nice experience! The food was great! The cocktails was perfect! The service was exceptional! This was my first time here! We will return soon for sure!
Loved the whole experience. Food and view was amazing
Staff was great and gave us the best table in the room for my birthday. Food was fantastic! All around great experience.
For the view yes, food wasn’t that good and veggies was cold
Definitely. My daughter recommended the restaurant to me. She raved about the food, service ambience.
The food was absolutely amazing. Our server was so polite and attentive. We arrived at 5pm in order to watch the sun set which was beautiful. It was pretty empty but within the hour, it got busy and a bit noisy but not bad. My husband and I will definitely be returning soon!!
I enjoyed a lovely dinner this evening with my sister... It was very memorable
We came for our first time during restaurant week. The food was very tasty, though we both found our first courses a bit lacking. The Caesar Salad dip was okay, but awkward to eat. My husbands shrimp and radishes came with butter (?). We both had the pork dish, which was delicious. The chocolate bread pudding was great. The view is wonderful although our table for 2 faced the bar. Most of the tables for 2 do not allow optimal vistas.
Can only afford to go there for restaurant week and it is awesome!
I always enjoy R2L. That’s my favorite Restaurant. Once us restaurant week, I let everyone know R2L participates. Everything is great. I have such a great time every time I go and the view is breath taking.
Loved the experience! The food was top notch. I had salmon with broccoli in a lemon butter sauce. The dish was seasoned perfect and needed nothing else. The server(S) were very attentive and informative. They checked in just enough to address needs but not enough to be invasive. Even with the busy crowds, you were able to still enjoy the company of your party without being distracted by other patrons. Our reservation were for a "sunset" time and the view was amazing. The only down side for me was that the entrance was a bit too dark. When the elevator door opened; it felt like the lights were off and we were immediately immersed into candlelight. Took a little while for my eyes to adjust to the sudden change.
Good news - Bad news!
1st - the Good: 6 menu items were tried: 4 were Good, 1 was a miss & the wine list (by the glass) though small was well matched to the food & reasonably priced
The Bad: The dining room was too dark! That may be 'romantic', but it loses it's charm when you can't read the menu, can't see what you're enjoying & can't navigate to & from your table safely. (The 'darkness' does enhance the view out the large windows - so there's that.)
As for value: We were there for Restaurant Week to try someplace new, so the 'value' for that was terrific. Regularly, it's probably even with most high caliber City restaurants - with a slight premium for the view. The food quality is enough to make it a 'special occasion' option,- even overcoming the 'darkness' issue.
Staff was amazing. The view is worth the trip. It was very nice to have quality non alcoholic mixed drinks offerings.
Always pleased with our meal at R2L. Restaurant week is a real pleasure. There were not many people on a Monday night which made for a relaxed and romantic evening. Food was fresh and artistically presented. Combination of flavors worked beautifully. Meals should have been hotter...made have sat in kitchen longer than they should have. Staff attentive and professional.
Enjoyable experience. It was too dark. That is the only issue.
We had a Fabulous evening at R2L! The experience was delightful all the way from the women downstairs who took our reservation and coats to every single waiter and person involved in making this a seamless evening. Brian, our main waiter, is incredibly efficient...must have eyes in the back of his head. I ate the falafel, salmon and lemon dessert; my husband had the Caesar salad, pork roast and cheese plate...every single dish was delicious. The ambiance and view are to die for And we celebrated our 47th anniversary with complimentary glasses of champagne!!! Can’t beat that! We will be back again soon!
We really enjoyed our dinner, but we felt a little rush with them bringing out the food so quickly.
Yes it was a great evening.I would definetinty return, recommend to family,friends.food,delicious.drink was superb.
Everything was great! Loved our server! She was also a Scorpio with the same birthday as my twin and i. Will be back!
Only bad part is having to pay an extra 185 dollars in order to sit at the window seat. When making the reservations it said nothing about paying extra
there's a $85 deposit per person for tables at the windows. We did not do this so we sat at a table in the middle of the restaurant. food was excellent but service was just okay. Apps came out before drinks. Server did not ask us if we wanted coffee of tea with dessert. The room was so dark we had to pass a candle around to see the food and menu. The server even picked up the candle to illuminate the cheese plate and describe the cheeses.
I will be making sure to come back to R2L very soon. The service and the cuisine was outstanding. It far exceeded expectations.
The Dining Room was prepared beautifully.
