Beautiful rooftop restaurant. Great playing/presentation and portion sizes.
Cooked steak wrong but other than that it was delicious. Great view and got there at a perfect time to watch the sun set over the city.
We had a reservation, seated quickly, got our food quickly. The bread was really delicious! The staff was friendly too.
We went there for my boyfriend’s birthday, the view was AWESOME, the food is delicious and the portions are maybe too big for one person but still delicious. The must : the little cake with a birthday candle and a beautiful « happy birthday » written with chocolate sauce.
Mark, our server, was excellent and very attentive to our needs...
Great experience, food was amazing, compliments to the chef. All staff from host, to wait staff made for a wonderful anniversary celebration. Thank you we will return for our next occasion or just to dine in, completely satisfied customers.
The food overall was delicious. The atmosphere was wonderful. My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to get a table next to the window which afforded us a spectacular view throughout dinner.
accommodating staff, wonderful ambiance, delicious food, gorgeous views!
I had requested a table by the window, but when we got there we were seated in the middle of the dining room. When I brought this to the managers attention, he immediately moved us to a window table. The service by the manager and waiter was outstanding.
Because the restaurant didn’t face the fireworks, they opened up a room on the opposite side of the floor so guests could view the fireworks from across the city.
Great service and beautiful ambiance. Enjoyed the views especially on the 4th of July! Overall, great experience for out of towners visiting Philly for the first time.
I dont feel like saying anything more than it was fabulous and can't wait to go back.
Food calms out cold
Overpriced. Overrated. Snobby. Unpleasant Experience. Bad Service
We were greeted in an offstandish way by our host. Somehow the vibe was "we are an expensive restaurant, therefore, we are condescending to our patrons."
We asked for curtains to be opened became we were there for the view, and were told they would be opened closer to Sunset so as not to disturb other diners. Mind you, our reservation was at 8pm. Sundown is at 8:30, so I doubt the glare was disturbing anyone. By the time the curtain was finally opened, the sun had set behind the buildings.
We paid 180 dollars for two glasses of wine, an unoriginal, uncreative vegetarian dish and a very salted rib eye, overly salty truffle sauce, which we returned to the chef and were told was their normal. The only good thing was their bread, and ok things were the appetizers, again, nothing outstanding, by any means.
For dessert, they brought us cardboard pieces of a white cake with little kid decorations.
They looked so disgustingly stale that we didn't even eat them
Overall, the experience was bad, and I would not recommend this restaurant.
They have a lot to learn and improve upon.
Great experience. Great service. Great view. And most of all, great food.
Spectacular views AND excellent food! While we didn't have a window table, we still had a lovely sunset experience.
My experience at this restaurant was immaculate! From beginning to end and with all the changes I had to make in the process of actually being seated and serviced I appreciate the kindness and hospitality. The food was delicious and the ambiance was exactly what I expected it to be! I will be back soon.
What can I say? R2L passed my expectations of what a fabulous restaurant should be! The food was amazing, our server Carleigh was absolutely wonderful. She explained the menu & how each item was prepared. The view, seriously breathtaking! My hubby and our friends will definitely go again. From being greeted downstairs as soon as we walked in to the very end of our meal & leaving, it was a terrific dining experience!
Celebrated our anniversary - food was great, service was great. Zero complaints!
Great experience! We went to celebrate an wedding anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The salmon and duck are excellent entrees. The lobster mac n cheese is deliciously decadent! Also enjoyed the artichoke salad, vegan creamed spinach, and lobster roll. All delicious!
Great food and service! Kind and attentive staff. Overall a great experience
Took my son here two years ago on a special occasion. He called it his favorite restaurant anywhere. We just went back and, while it was good, the food is not quite on par with where it was two years ago and the place was really empty. Not quite sure what’s happened. Still a good restaurant but some of the specialness if it has been lost. Focus on the food!
It's a scenic view of Philadelphia with very good food. I had the combo of filet mignon with short rib which melted in my mouth.
I drank a cocktail made up of mojito and champagne .The views were spectacular. The dessert was called French toast and it was very delicious.I had the fingerling potatoes as an appetizer and could not stop eating them because of the crispy onions and spicy mayo that completed it.
Celebrated my parents 25th wedding anniversary and had a great meal.
Wonderful evening with family visiting from out of town. Food & service was great and the view is always exceptional!
The staff were attentive and the food was delicious. We celebrated our anniversary and were given a small complimentary dessert which was very nice of the server we had.
Awesome service. The food was great. Beautiful view. Overall I love it.
Requiring $100 deposit per person for window seating it’s a little unreasonable. Our total bill exceed $600 and yet we were not afford it window seating. I believe it is reservation is made, it should be based on first come first serve based on what they may spend.
Very enjoyable experience. Service was fantastic, though a little bit intrusive. View was gorgeous. Food was great, but small plate sizes which is typical at a high end restaurant. Overall, we would be back.
First time there for a date Food was absolutely amazing our server Caroline was super attentive very nice and had great recommendations
The service was nothing short of first-class as usual. However, the sliced duck had more fat than I expected, but the raw oysters were out of bounds! I would highly recommend them to those who like them. Finally, the dessert was a 10 across the board. If you haven't been here, you are simply missing out! Cheers!
Overall everything was great. Service was excellent. Great recommendations from our server.
My father Mr. Tied had a ball and said one of the best times ever. I'm a Deacon at Mt. AIRY Church an pop's said he's in sky with the angels.
Great job Vera you're the best!!
Great experience i had a blast and would definitely come again
A birthday, Graduation and Father’s Day!!!
Awesome. Where to begin? Everything about this restaurant exceeded expectations. Food (filet, mac and cheese, brussel sprouts) was outstanding. Flavorful, perfectly spiced, perfectly cooked. We were welcomed and encouraged to relax and enjoy the view (Table 98). Noise level was really good. We could enjoy background music but also hear one another easily. First-class experience the whole way. We have talked about coming back to Philly from DC just to go to this restaurant again!
Such wonderful staff, from reservation to food service. It was a bit dark inside and I would’ve enjoyed more vegetarian options.
R2L is a must stop if you are looking for city night line views and great food. You can pay for a guaranteed window seat but honestly the views are amazing from all the tables if you ask me. The wait times for the food are longer due to preparation so some advice I can give is look at the dessert menu and place the dessert order before you finish your meal, vanilla cake if I may also suggest a good option. Also, they were very accommodating to my dislike of raw oysters and subbed it out for extra shrimp when we ordered the seafood tower. We always share a meal due to portions and they shared it for us and gave us separate plates which was nice. With our 7:30pm reservation, we were able to watch the beautiful sunset and also see the city skylines. We will be back again soon.
Great experience for my girlfriend who has never been there before. 10/10 would recommend someone to come there!
Absolutely amazing meal. Caroline was our server and she was on the ball with every question we had. We started with the chilled seafood appetizer (amazing), two of us had clam chowder and the other two split the chopped salad. All so good. For the entree I had the ribeye- holy cow the truffle sabayon is the perfect complimented the meat; my parents had the short rib and filet which they enjoyed, and my brother had the reddish and scallops- also enjoyed. We had the brussel sprouts, spinach, and lobster Mac n cheeses for sides. The sunset completed our meal.
