We were extremely unimpressed. The food was mediocre and pricey for what you were getting. The choices of sides and appetizers was very blah. Nothing really exciting or interesting. The ambiance was bland and I requested to sit close to a window and was sat furthest away from one as possible. There were open tables but the restaurant just ignored my request. Needless to say we won’t ever come back to this place.
When I went online to book it didn’t tell me in advance that their was no window view when I booked and get a call two days before to tell me that there wasn’t an window view . Also you guys don’t get people time to know what they want to drink or eat it’s seems like we was being rushed
Beautiful place to enjoy and eat great food.
Food was great. Waiter we had was rude. Paid little attention to our table. Didn’t give any specialty drinks, didn’t recommend any dishes. She snatched menus out of our hands. Didn’t say thank you. Just was rude.
The view is beautiful and so is the ambiance but everything else is just awkward. Between people standing next to your table for pictures by the window to the entree being a huge plate of meat... it's nice just odd and not a place I'd go back to.
Great service! Manager accommodated special requests with pleasure. Waitress catered accordingly and assisted with a smile and good personality. The food was much more than expected including taste and portion size. I will be planning my next visit and referring all of my family and friends! Me and my boyfriend loved it.. wonderful experience!
I went to the restaurant to celebrate Valentines day with my fiancé. The restaurant has a stunning view of the city. It is important to choose your seat wisely so as to take advantage of that, otherwise it’s a bit of a diner feel. The meal itself was outstanding as were the drinks. I believe they pride themselves in exceptional service, though the waiter was a bit disingenuous. Unfortunately, the music is pop rock which was very unexpected (and not preferred) for fine dining.
Fabulous food and a great view! I would highly recommend!
Experience was great, food was fantastic, the only issue is they charge 25 dollars to reserve a table for Friday Saturday or Sunday. I had to ask about having the charge removed from my bill, it wasn't automatically removed, the bill should be altered automatically, I shouldn't have to ask
The food, the staff, the view! Everything was fanastic. We even received a free upgrade to a window seat when we had originally only booked a center room table. You all are the best. The only downside was the parking validation for my garage was only a partial credit, but I am thankful for any credit at all!
We requested window seats or to sit at least close to it, but not only did we not get them, but we got one of the farthest seats. Air conditioning was super cold. Very loud. Other than that, food and service was incredible. Was very pretty and loved the aesthetic. Waitress was very nice.
The food was amazing everything came out on time and the place is amazingly beautiful i would recomend this place to anyone definitely will be back soon
My steak was cold when I received it. I didn’t say anything though because I was on a time frame .
It was beautiful, the entire staff was welcoming and very attentive. We picked an appetizer and ended up not eating it because we didn’t want any more, the manager came over to ask if we were ok and wanted to know if the food was okay. He then offered us something else to satisfy our taste buds. I would definitely return to R2L!
Food was excellent, but was feeling rushed to finish the entire time by the staff. Very stiff atmosphere, felt like a couldn't smile or have a genuine conversation with my date.
Perfect place for an unforgettable date night! We loved all of it!
Food and service were outstanding and the view is spectacular.
Hard to find, but once you are there nothing but the best service. I cannot say enough about the resturant. From the coat check to the finale exit with very nice take away containers...and you will want to take away...everything was splendid. And if you tell them you have an appointment to be somewhere, they put in the extra effort to get you on your way ensuring you will not be late!
By far one of the best experiences at restaurant that I have had. The food was amazing. I will be back
Had a great experience. I highly recommended this restaurant!
Yes this was a huge and beautiful atmosphere I love the food and people that was there was very kind me and my wife will be back again 20 stars for R2L.
Was seated in a very tight spot with little room to move. Constantly waiting for food and drinks to arrive or even to simply get the check it took a while. Also, I feel like many customers came after us and yet received their food first and were given higher priority, not sure why.
R2L definitely lives up to its name, our host mark was amazing on top of everything !! The FOOD was plenty and super yummy! Our party had the 28 day old steak, salmon and roasted chicken.. we had a chilled appetizer
Menu option was poor , food nasty and service was poor
The service, ambiance, and overall experience was amazing. It took some time for the food to get to the table, yet our waitress was amazing. I have to add that I did not like the menu options at all and those items I ended up getting were not very good. Everything had very little flavor or just didn’t sit well as far as texture and combinations.
Value for money. Great place. Nice view from the top
I would reccomend this R2L for an nice dinner but not a birthday celebration. They really dropped the birthday ball by taking 20-30 min after dinner while putting our coats on to bring out two really teeny tiny mini cupcakes with candles, that didnt even taste good. Super overwhelming after a $200 bill.
Except the view. Others do not expect too much
The overall experience was great for this restaurant. The service was good and they serve you as a team which was a good idea. The guy server that we had was very attentive to us, he only had me waiting on a drink once so that took away from the tip. The food that we ordered was not seasoned well and the portions are not worth the price. I had the roasted chicken and that’s all the came on the plate for $28 dollars. My girlfriend had the red snapper, scallops and cauliflower but it only came with 3 scallops on the plate. And of course that was priced pretty high as well, like $40 bucks. The appetizer that we had weren’t bad but the oysters were not shucked properly for what they charge for they. The best food that we had was the homemade fries that they have with some spicy mayonnaise sauce. It is my opinion that this place is great to just go have like two drinks and maybe an appetizer at the bar. The prices were really not an issue had the food been worth it because I’ve spent way more at other establishments that had amazingly good food. Hopefully, they’ll change chefs on menus real soon because I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews about the food here. But I still decided to experience it for myself. I doubt if I’ll return here in the future but the staff here were all really great people. I wish them all well.
Experience went down hill. Disappointed
Food was mediocre at best- definitely not worth the price. Pre-requested and reconfirmed special occasion window seating, which was available, but not offered/denied (recognizing they want $ to “allegedly” guarantee a window). Proper silverware was not on the table (had to request). Chicken was tough/dry. Sides were mushy. Bread serving was meager and not served fresh.
Overall such a great experience and would def come back !!! Enjoyed everything :)
EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME! My favorite was the Lobster Mac and chesse.
It was an aam zing dinning experience. Love the decor and the window view.
We had a great time at R2L. It was a quiet ambiance and the view is unparalleled. The food was very well-presented and delicious. I would highly recommend the Pineapple + Mint dessert. We also had the deconstructed cheesecake, which was very well plated. We would highly recommend Window Seats, even though the guaranteed window seating down payment will cost you a little more.
I wish I was given the opportunity to request a window view. I didnt realize that this would have been an upsell charge. Nevertheless I would have booked it that way regardless.
Excellent view and service. Our waiter Josh was excellent. One negative impact is way too much sodium. Had to return food and pick on others.
I would recommend R2L simply for the view.
The menu lacked substance, the food was very expensive and the taste and quality didn’t match up to the price paid. Besides my steak which was subpar, far from perfect. Everything else I ordered was mediocre including one of my favorite cocktails, The Old Cuban. Instead of being flavorful and enjoyable it was bitter and just too strong.
