Fabulous NOLA vibe, Asbury Park style, enjoyable to sit and eat at the bar and listen to music. Food is savory & beautifully presented. Can't say enough about the bartenders, Joe & Maggie: friendly, attentive, fast service. Casey, one of the owners, also running between floor and bar to greet the public & keep things moving smoothly. And the music! Monday night Ocean Avenue Stompers: solid core of serious musicians with different guests each week. Horns, guitar, keys & Hammond B-3 (!!!), drums. Their repertoire is vast & they have a dedicated following of people who know & love music. R-Bar is a neighborhood joint with world-class food, service, music. Also, just a damned cool building: in addition to bar/dining room, there is a patio and a rooftop bar & greenhouse. Wherever you settle in at the R-Bar, you will have good food & drink and a good time -- laissez les bon temps rouler!

Bartender Joe is excellent!!! And a nice guy besides making a great cocktail while being attentive! Band is fabulous. Gave one less than perfect star due to dip for French dip being a bit too salty otherwise all 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

What a fantastic find! Felt like Vaca in New Orleans! Amazing food and drink specials, friendly servers. Just a really cool atmosphere and food overall! Just a bit hard to find parking in the area so just be aware of that. Give yourself extra time.

The food and music at RBar was outstanding! The crab beignets were delicious and I also loved the chopped salad and Cajun carrots. The servers are friendly and efficient . The instrumental background music was awesome! The garden provided the perfect vibe for lunch.
