   This is superb restaurant with great food and excellent staff. It is a beautiful setting and great place to enjoy time with friends or as a couple .

   Nice evening - given a table outside which was a bonus . Good food and excellent service .

   The chicken thighs on the set menu were rather chewy (tough) and the veg a tad soggy, it was also too salty. I wouldn’t call the staff that warm and friendly.

   Having read extensively on Trip Advisory where to eat in Oxford I picked Quod as part of a surprise birthday out for my husband. We did a walking tour first and actually crossed the road right by the restaurant so I have no concerns about finding it later. We were able to have a drink at the bar first which was so light and airy and most usual decor, quiet no doubt as it was a Tuesday. The weather was amazing and we sat on the terrace which was just beautiful. Cool and covered with greenery and right by the fountain. The service was first class and the food as well. We could see that the starters were very generous and just went for a main course. Salmon and Dill fishcakes and Salmon salad. Both excellent - fish really well good, still moist and juicy and not over done. The wine list is extensive and it is nice to have a good choice by the glass or 500ml - wish more places did this. I would love to come back, perhaps book a room. Highly recommended.

   Really nice food and good service nice atmosphere. Only issue realised after we left we got charged for a drink we didn’t have but partly our fault for not checking.

   My friend and I had the Champagne afternoon tea to celebrate her 50th Birthday. The service was very good and they gave her a scoop of ice cream with iced happy birthday, that I thought was a lovely touch. The Champagne was to our taste and you made her Birthday special. The view of Oxford in the background was special as we are both born in Oxfordshire and have fond memories of the area.

   Service was excellent. Unfortunately the food was not up to its usual standard. Starters were good but the main course not so good - lamb cutlets were under cooked and tough and the fillet of salmon unfortunately was over cooked. However, this will not deter us from returning as this has been the only time we have been disappointed with the food at Quod’s.

    The vegetable pie with carrots and cavolo nero was outstandingly good.
