This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.
The food was actually pretty good. Everything else was atrocious. The waitress was absolutely terrible. My reservation was for a regular table and they sat us at a high top in the bar. Did I mention our waitress was terrible? She forgot half our order and never came to check on us once. She never apologized when she screwed things up. Also their drinks, including the espresso, were awful. Several were undrinkable. Also it was extremely slow and the portions were small and hard to divide even though it’s small plates. I will not be returning and I would not recommend it to anyone else.
I think it was overpriced for the amount of food and the food wasn't that good. It was a cute spot, but I wouldn't visit again.
Dining at Quiote is always a treat! The flavor combos are unique and incredibly well executed - no place like it in Chicago!
Great date spot! Chef’s menu is the way to to!
The food was good and very creative, drinks were delicious and service was excellent. But I'm afraid the noise level actually made the evening unenjoyable. We really wished we could have eaten outside which would have been quieter.
Tried a variety of cocktails and menu items. Everything was well prepared and delicious. Will definitely visit again.
I will always come back for that bone marrow
Get the chef special. It’s 5 courses and a dessert. It’s more than enough to fill you up and it was amazing. I would say the lamb tacos are a must have.
Amazing meal at Quiote! Each dish was somehow better than the next, can’t go wrong! Highly recommend for date night or with a group.
Great restaurant for foodie dinner..menu is a delicious contemporary adaptation of Mexican cuisine.
Creative Mexican cuisine...and it’s all quite good.
Nice drink selections, including an amazing hibiscus margarita.
The service was really good. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable.
Nice outdoor seating during the nice weather.
We love this place!
Great food. Supper loud atmosphere. Service was slow and tapas were brought out one at a time (which is normally fine, but there was such a long lag between the plates)
Food was delicious, sitting at the bar was fun. Everyone was super personable. Would go back.
We had to wait 20 minutes past the reservation for our table. The style is decadent small plates. You have to squeeze in to tables (feels even tight for a petite woman), the noise level is an issue for a table size more than 2 people. One of our drink orders was mixed up twice. So we already had our second small plate before we had our drinks. We would not come here again.
Interesting menu - Mexico City Mexican which is great. Snapper ceviche, avocado salad & lamb carnitas were all very tasty. But the best part of our meal was the dessert - tres leches, so amazing! We’ll be back, loved our dinner!
Awesome food and drinks!! A bit on the pricey side but it’s great food and drinks.
Great place. Somewhat limited menu but elevated food way beyond typical Mexican.
Had a great time at Quiote. Food was great as well as the drinks. Would highly recommend
Without advertisement we went to hang on the patio and eat some food - they were doing a cookout so we weren't able to order off the menu. Drinks were good and the service was stellar. Bummed we couldn't order food from the menu, that I've been told is excellent.
Visited Quiote for brunch on a Sunday. The restaurant was empty. After checking in we were seated very quickly. The service was very slow. It took at least 25 minutes to order and receive our first round of drinks. Food was average at best; avocado crab toast had almost no crab, chips for chilaquiles were soggy, and the brisket quesadilla didn't have the brisket in it, simply laid on top. We liked the potatoes and because we couldn't get churros, settled for a cinnamon roll that we shared with the table. Quiote is a cute space, maybe dinner is a better option.
Great food with fabulous flavor. The service was also top notch. Will be back for sure and will also recommend to others.
I brought my family to Quiote to celebrate my graduation. My family can be reluctant to try new foods, but they loved everything we ordered, both food and drinks. The staff was attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable. I'm glad I chose Quiote to host my picky eaters!
Fantastic. Service. Food. Drinks. Menu was interesting and well-executed. Great great experience.
Amazing. Delicious. Can't wait to go back!
Some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Every dish was unique but still traditional. The inverted crab tostada was bright & fresh with just hint of spice. The lamb carnitas taco was probably my favorite — it was perfectly seasoned & had a great char. The avocado salad was a great palate cleanser & the final dish (sirloin) was cooked to a perfect rare & the black garlic mole & chimichurri were amazing. We had the churro for dessert & it was fried perfectly. (I wish the chile peanut butter was a little spicier but that’s my only nit to pick.) Drinks were great too. Overall a delicious meal from beginning to end & an impressive showing from a relatively young restaurant. We’ll definitely be back.
Food is always amazing
Quiote offers Mexican cuisine at a very high level. Best Chorizo you will ever have. Drinks and wine are also at a high level. Go you’ll enjoy it.
Fantastic food and cocktails and friendly knowledgeable staff.
This game from a recommendation from a friend in London. He insisted that when we visited in Seattle we come try the food. Stuck at the airport hotel, we opted for a ride back to the airport, a trip to a rental car center, and then drove to your restaurant.
We could not have been happier. The food was amazing. Service from Leo, top notch. His energy and passion for what he does shows. Why this place isn’t sold out is beyond me. I wish you all only the best of success in all you do.
The food was delicious and the service was really great. We did the chefs menu where they chose a bunch of dishes for us. We ate a lot of delicious items that I probably wouldn’t have picked off the menu. The tres leches dessert was amazing!!
This was our second visit to Quiote but will NOT be our last! Besides outstanding Mescal choices and margaritas, the dinner menu was a fabulous succession of small share-able plates. One after the other we were blown away with the flavors and creativity. The waitress and entire wait staff were superb. Informative, attentive, unobtrusive. Our group of 5 enjoyed the heck out of this evening and spent the following day recounting the wonderful plates to one another. Great job Quiote!!!!
We were traveling through Chicago and had already done some research on this restaurant, noticed they had won an award and also they were recommended by another restaurant owner in Michigan. We booked it through Open Table as they seemed to fill up and we didn't want to miss this opportunity. Food was outstanding. Service just as good. Had an interesting downstairs that apparently was a bar with food service from a food truck parked on their property. Really a neat idea. Waitperson said we should check it out but since we were more than satisfied with our meal chose not to. Next time in time we will.
The food is amazing in that each dish has so much flavor with different tastes. Everything is delicious and in addition to their cocktails, the winds are great too.
Mole chicken and cocktails were great. Very friendly service!
Great food, fun staff, cool environment. Highly recommend!
Fantastic tacos. Super. Great find.
Food was fantastic. Service top notch and very attentive. Warm, beautiful space.
Amazing food and cocktails! Never disappoints. We love the avocado salad and crab tostada
