What Insiders Are Saying
Quinn’s Pub in Capitol Hill is one of Infatuation Seattle’s main HQ’s - we use it for pretty much every occasion.
Food was ok, but I wouldn’t come back. Much better restaurants in Seattle!
Home run for a unique date night! The location on Pike had a unique, fun and funky vibe. The staff was friendly and attentive without being invasive. We started with the pretzel and four gras...both were fantastic. The mains of the house burger and the risotto were stellar. They even treated us to a small glass of prosecco to celebrate our anniversary. If you want a little something different with high quality food, try Quinn’s!!!!
good burger, solid drinks, a little pricey but the atmosphere is great
Okay food, but really expensive
Quinn's Pub is one of my favorite Seattle spots. I went on a solo date and had the wild boar sloppy joe with fries and a glass of wine and it was pure bliss.
Quinn’s was a most wonderful experience. The cocktails are unique and thoughtful. The food absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. A very relaxing atmosphere with great food and drinks !!
I love the atmosphere in this funky old building. The menu is small, but I've really liked what I've ordered the two times I've been there: first a burger, then the fish & chips. Service was absolutely perfect; our waiter was attentive, professional, charming, and friendly. The food was served with perfect timing and was piping hot. My old-fashioned was one of the best I've had, and the waiter helped us make an alternate beer selection when our first choice was unavailable. The tab before tip for a burger, fish and chips, a soda, a cocktail, and a beer was around $64, which we thought was very fair. Very vibrant neighborhood, great for walking around before or after your meal.
Service is good but not as amazing as the food. I will definitely be back for the food.
Service was amazingly slow but the food was excellent
Great service friendly atmosphere, great food. The Steak Tartar was amazingly seasoned, the fois guas was paired with a sweet bread, the beet salad was perfectly pickled and paired with a nice gorgonzola, the steak friets was so tender you could cut it with a fork. The waiter made sure we were all taken care of and that we had a great time!
First time in Seattle. This place has a good location and was actually really good food. The experience was pretty awesome! I recommend this place to anyone looking to go on a date or friends get together.
Reliably delicious. Wish the 2-tips weren’t so crammed together but other than that it delivered.
Everything was great except the food took a long time before he took our food order and over an hour to get to the table so we had to eat fast to get to our show
The food was great! We got there bone marrow (great portion), Pork belly and the cauliflower! Everything was really good and the manager brought us a complimentary round of champagne for our date night. Such a special touch!
Good steak and
Seating was a breeze with a dinner reservation. The wait service was phenomenal, informative, and quick. We were not on a time crunch, so food was brought out in an orderly fashion. Ordered one appetizer, and entree. Spent about 1hr and half total.
We came here on a Thursday evening to celebrate a birthday, having had a good experience here before. We chose Quinn's because the atmosphere is relaxed and cozy, and the menu is interesting.
TL;DR - Service was really good, well designed drinks, but someone wasn't paying attention to details in the kitchen.
Our waitress was really great about explaining the food and when we asked what her favorites were she had great informed opinions. The specialty drinks were very good. We tried the Old Man and the Daiquiri, Missed Opportunity, and Shrinking Violet. All 3 were very good! The plan was to get a few small plates so we could try a variety of things. We ordered the bone marrow, delicata squash salad, pork belly with grits, and Scotch egg. Except for the pork belly had a little something prevented it from being really good. The squash in the salad was barely warm and still hard, the bone marrow seemed like it wasn't roasted long enough to get a deep flavor and the topping while nice made the dish too sweet. The flavors of the Scotch egg were great, but unfortunately the egg was cold. In addition they offered to re-make the squash salad, but it never came out (the waitress very kindly removed it from our bill). I could have forgiven these things more easily if it has been a busy Friday or Saturday night, but not so much on a Thursday when all tables aren't filled and no one is waiting.
We had a team dinner and an overall great experience. Food was tasty and well prepared. Service was excellent and the single kitchen mistake was fixed quickly with the item comped without asking. Very professional. I'll be back again.
we arrived early for our dinner reservation and were quickly accommodated to sit at the bar and order from the bar menu (which is still excellent!). By the time dinner service started, we were brought those menus to order any additional items we wanted. Great service and atmosphere, we were just a bit disappointed with the marrow dish, but everything else we ordered was excellent!
The restaurant was closed you should not have booked I wasted my gas! Not Happy!
I hadn't been to Quinn's Pub in some time and the menu had changed since that time. They are more meat-oriented now and source their meat from Wilderness Farms (in WA and MT). The waiter explained how the chef uses every part of the animal, so that there is very little gone to waste. I was in the mood for a burger, and the recent animal that had been brought in was a pig, but I was oh-so-tempted to change my order to pork. The burger is top notch though, one of my favorites in Seattle, it's reaaaalllly good! The fries are also excellent. My girlfriend had the mussels and also loved them, they were cooked in a white wine sauce and there were plenty of them for her. The beer list seems to have also grown since the last time I was there and there were some pretty good selections - the Quinn's Ale is solid, but I opted for a different Belgian ale - the Monk's Indiscretion by Sound Brewery, which was a whopping 10%ABV and paired excellently with the burger and fries.
Great! Went with my grandson for his 27th birthday...started at happy hour time and stayed on for dinner. He said the burger was outstanding and my fish and chips was good too.
I've been coming to Quinn's for many years now for dinner as well as happy hour and I've always really enjoyed it. I've brought parents and other visitors from out of town, and this was the go-to place I'd bring picky eaters since it can accommodate a range of palettes, from standard meet-and-potato end of the spectrum to more creative predilections. Today was an exception. The food came out extremely slowly. The steak entree I had was lukewarm at best, and, even the bread that was brought was stale and flavorless. No questions were asked when I barely touched my steak about what might have gone wrong. The service was generally apathetic and aloof. My partner's fish and chips and my side of mushrooms were good, hence a three star overall rating. I will come back to Quinn's since this disappointing experience does not outweigh literally tens of visits over the years, but I will have to give it some time.
Great anniversary dinner! Everyone was so pleasant and made our evening great. Foie gras was amazing as well as all of the small plates we ordered. Charcuterie board was top notch. Will come back to Seattle from Texas and hit it up again.
Had my parents in town and they loved it! Great spot on the hill! Floor to ceiling windows also make for some great people watching! Definitely try a few dishes!
The food was awesome with some interesting and unexpected items on the menu. Had a great time, though it was way too noisy for me given that I was there on a date and wanted to converse.
This is one of my favorite spots on Cap Hill, its consistent, laid back, and delicious. everything this visit was great, with the only exception being the dry aged pork chop. It was almost inedible due to there being very little actual meat and it being almost entirely fat. I'm assuming this is not the restaurants fault as they don't control nature, but a keen eyed Chef would have probably not sent this particular cut to the table. Unless of course that is how this cut is supposed to be served, in which case a warning from the server would be expected. The tagine and the foie gras were both amazing, I could eat that foie 7 days a week. service was what you completely adequate with no shortfalls whatsoever, not excellent, but It's not a fine dining joint so I wasn't expecting million dollar service and hand jobs or anything. I've been before, and I'll go again.
We really enjoyed the meal and service.
Drinks were good. Service fairly inattentive. Prices seemed high. The delictica squash salad came with congealed gruyere cheese that seemed as if it had been been sitting under a warming lamp for quite some time. Steak was good but not 28.00 with no sides worth of good.
Ultra hipster vibe in a cool industrial space. Friendly but inefficient staff. Dinner took over an hour and 1/2 while other tables seated behind us were served before us. Waited 30 min before we were greeted for drinks. The apps we ordered were great, but sadly had to leave before dinner was served to make our show. You could be great kids! Just step up your service!
The service was very slow and spotty, but the food was good. The smoked kielbasa was very good. It's a noisy, tight place that feels like just a bar.
Loved Quinn’s but note that they will kick you out if you’re there too long. It was my birthday and I was never told of a time limit when I made a reservation. Disappointing.
Had a nice meal catching up with friends. Everyone enjoyed their food, but the tangine was wonderful. We also ordered the short rib steak which was cooked perfectly and sublime with the fois gras butter. Yummy.
This use to be a good place for food and now it’s below mediocre, all of the veggies side was under par and not worth coming back, it’s too bad as it was my favorite place to hang out and have a decent meal. I will not come again.
This was our first time here and it won't be the last! We ordered the duck breast and the rabbit rag out, so fantastic! Great beer on tap and the cabbage delicata squash salad was lovely!
Host waited 10 minutes to seat us and then when we requested to not sit next to the children, he couldn’t figure out where to seat us even though there were plenty of space available. After waiting again we left. We made the reservation to celebrate our anniversary and based on the fact that we had been married next door.
Service was shoddy. Waiter was quite rude to us - we asked for recommendations and instead were met with attitude. Food was exactly what you'd expect of a pub.
Surprised the restaurant denied we showed up for our reservation at 5:30pm today, which shows how much lack of attention the staff have.
Wouldn't recommend coming here to dine.
I'm a regular patron of Quinn's Pub but my experience there was very disappointing. I had reservations for Saturday night (September 30) at 8pm. We arrived at 7:30pm, and said we'd wait at the bar till our table was ready.
We were eventually seated at 9pm! Yes, I was told the kitchen was busy, but honestly, waiting an hour after I had made reservations is not acceptable. What's the point in making reservations anyway?!
After we were seated, I have to point out that the service was abysmal! Our server was slow and not very attentive and forgot drink orders several times.
I have always had a good time at Quinn's before and I am very upset that this was my experience this time round especially since it was the first time for my other 5 friends.
Everything was very good. Food was outstanding. Had the mussels which were in a fantastic cream sauce. Only thing is that it was not served with any toast. Required to order some grilled bread extra. Seems like that should be part of any dish like that.
