Quick's Hole Tavern
Just across the street from the Martha’s Vineyard ferry terminal, the new Quicks Hole Tavern is the perfect place to watch your ship come in, enjoy the sunset over Woods Hole harbor, or appreciate the hustle bustle of this thriving port town.
With a commitment to farm-to-table sourcing, the new Quicks Hole Tavern boasts “wicked fresh” local ingredients. The menu changes with the seasons and offers original twists on local seafood, cheese and charcuterie boards, burgers, gourmet grilled cheese, freshly made soups and salads plus an extensive craft beer list, a fine selection of wines and a full bar.
Pub opens at 3PM daily
Enjoy our second floor dining Friday - Sunday starting at 5PM- Close
We had early reservation 530 by open table. So little rushed getting there.
Walked in up the stairs loved the decor, very clean, relaxing and friendly. Apps were delish, beer on tap was cold ❤️, entrees were perfect. We squeezed in the pumpkin donuts and took home the rest! Overall great experience made for a special relaxing evening.
Staff is always friendly and very helpful. Food is creative and always excellent.
A little hidden gem of a restaurant - I mean, you have to make it to the end of Woods hole to get to it. But if you're in the area and trully appreaciate good tasty food, do not miss Quicks Hole Tavern. The food is delicious, very high standard, and the drinks list is very well fitting the food choices. And it's really nice to see the activity in the kitchen. A not-to-miss restaurant on the Cape.
Great location over looking the Woods Hole Ferry docks and terminal. Water views in back ground. Relatively small dining room, yet comfortable. Excellent, unique food, well priced for the quality. Craft beers available as well as a decent wine list. Menu changes throughout the year. Cape Cod is very casual so sharp attire or neat jeans are fine.
Had heard great reviews about this restaurant and the food did not disappoint!
We hit the sunset just right so the views were outstanding and we enjoyed watching the ferries come and go, an added perk.
Small house salad had a delicious vinaigrette and was big enough for 2! Crab cakes also had a unique dill seasoning and sauce that was quite tasty.
We were there on the first night of the limited winter menu and was a little disappointed that the only fish on the menu was salmon. We both were looking forward to a nice "Cape Cod" fish or seasonal fish special that we saw on the menu when researching and reading the reviews. We made the most of the limited choices, lobster mac and cheese and salmon and were not disappointed. Great flavors and good portions!
Of course we had to try the famous donuts for dessert and they lived up to the hype. Yummy!
Service was great and we never felt rushed or that we were kept waiting too long. Kevin did great despite the fact that he looked like a whirling dervish(short staffed?).
The only disappointment was the limited winter menu, wish I saw that on the website!
Excellent food and views!
Excellent food. Wonderful service! I would recommend this restaurant
My wife and I shared there tavern salad....superb.
She also, had the fabulous crab cakes, and I had the flounder that was delicious.
This place never disappoints! The sunset on Sunday evening was truly one of the best all summer.
Caleb did a great job suggesting and serving. Can’t wait to go back......
Food was delicious! The location is a local scene near the Martha's Vineyard ferry. Food is consistently good!
absolutely loved it!!!! Great hip vibe, phenomenal creative menu... loved it all.
Nice meal overlooking the harbor. Scallops were outstanding. Definitely save room for their homemade donuts for dessert. Just wonderful.
Been here several times, really enjoy the food. Devil's Foot cocktail is good, too!
Great food and service. We had 4 adults order 4 different meals and every person loved his/her meal. Food came out quickly but we never felt rushed to finish. Very accommodating with a change to the reservation too.
An unbelievable find on the Cape. Foodies will going crazy.
My daughter was thrilled to be able to get a lobster roll on a gluten free roll. Lobster rolls are one thing we have basically given up eating out for the last seven years, so it was a real treat! Thank you!
Lovely location in Woods Hole. Excellent service. Food was just mediocre. Too expensive for a weekly dinner, but nice for a special occasion.
Delicious, creative food that is cooked w/In a few feet of the tables. The ratatouille w the flounder is one of the best I’ve eaten. The “pig candy” is fun. Nice wine and beer selection. Parking can be complicated, so leave a little time. The main dining room is upstairs and overlooks the harbor at Woods Hole. We had a delightful dining experience.
The food was good but not outstanding. For value it was below average. The potion size was good but $27 chicken plate is ridiculous. They also had a salad plate that was $13 then to have a protein with it, it was another $13-$15. I thought for the price the atmosphere would have been a bit more intimate. It was truly a tavern by the water. Okay place to go if you have the extra cash.
As always, the food was AWESOME! The Burrata Caprese Salad was fresh and delicious! The Seared Sea Scallops over the lobster succotash was AMAZING! My friends ordered the Halibut and cleaned their plates it was so good!
Great atmosphere with the white interior with a subtle nautical theme. Fun to watch the ferries coming and going. Delicious salmon dish. Nice wine. Right amount of attention in terms of service.
Excellent food and great service.
This is one of my go to restaurants. I have never had a bad meal. I recommend the lobster roll and homemade donuts. The management is five star.
Quicks hole is a great farm to table restaurant overlooking woodshole harbor! The atmosphere as well as the food is worth the ride to Cape Cod!!
Food as always was well prepared and well presented. Service was very friendly and efficient. Like the overall atmosphere which is casual and intimate. While we enjoyed our meal and look forward to returning the prices may strike some as a bit high for a casual restaurant in Woods Hole.
We both had the lobster pasta dish and loved it. The waiter recommended the donuts for desert but I preferred taking a crème brûlée. Should have followed the waiter’s recommendation. Otherwise perfect evening.
Quick's Hole Tavern has an awesome view for people watchers. From our spot we could see the getting on and off of the Martha's Vineyard Ferry. We were so pleased with the atmosphere, the service and the meals. My husband was so quiet because his roasted chicken had a surprise bacon kick. He will no longer hunger for chicken wings and burgers. I had a lovely salad and chose the crab cakes for a light meal. The salad was flavorful with orange slices and pistachios. I don't think I could mimic it at home even if I tried. We also enjoyed seeing the kitchen crew working on their creations. Excellent all around!
Menu - Phenomenal, unique blend of local and seasonal dishes, presentation was stunning
Ambiance - Gorgeous, well lit open concept with local themed decor
Service - best service I have had in a very long time, attention to detail was above and beyond, special requests were honoured
I was at the restaurant twice in the past two weeks and while the staff is great, I had a series of disappointments with the food. The Kale salad I tied was way way too vinegary ... is that a word? :-) and they remade it thinking it was the lemon in the dressing, but no, it was the vinegar. I tried the Cauliflower fritters and all 4 at the table agreed that they seemed to be sans cauliflower. The grilled prime filet I had last week had so much garlic in the bed of sauce it was on that it overwhelmed the flavor of the entire meal. The broccolini was also a bit tired and rubbery. I also had oysters, which were a little shelly inside. In addition, you have no oyster forks, no lemon was served with it and no horseradish. So, while I really have really enjoyed the restaurant in the past years, this year it seems to be missing the mark.
Uncharacteristically disappointed . Server confused our order and one party had to send dinner back since it was completely wrong. This meant that one person in group
Had to wait almost 10-15 minutes to get their meal
While other guests in party were dining . While food was delicious and the server ended up comping the late meal, overall we felt that the prices do not justify the food- $39 for 3 scallops is simply too much. Gives us pause for thought and we may not be back for a while sadly as we ordinarily live this place!
qiuick's tavern is always an excellent dining experience.
The crab cakes are a must. Great salads
Very nice selection on the menue including vegetarian options. The 2 waiters each thought the other had taken care of us so initial service was slow but once the mistake was realized service was attentive. We were the last to leave the restaurant and were not rushed or made to feel at all uncomfortable as we finished our meal and drinks. Overall a very nice experience.
Always a great dinner at Quick's Hole. Love the food and the location.
Was part of dinner and a movie! Had the chef special and it was delightful! Wine was a match! The donuts and coffee were delish!
The Korean Short Ribs and house-made Kimchee were delicious! Standby cocktail was unique. Fantastic as always!!!
Absolutely amazing halibut special-cooked perfectly—over celery root mashed and roasted asparagus. The rest of party enjoy a thick bone in pork chop with the trademark Brussels sprouts.... always fabulous service, great cocktails and nice wine selection. Oh and the view is awesome!
We’ve eaten here a few times now and the food and the atmosphere keep bringing us back. The staff is great and the food is delicious. There’s so many reasons we end up in Woods Hole besides the ferry to the Islands. The Film Festival and the Bike Trail are two, but whatever the reason, we try to plan a stop at Quick’s Hole. It’s fun in the height of summer and it’s quiet, cozy, and romantic in winter.
Cozy dining area, great food and attentive service made for an excellent night!
Our dinner at Quick's Hole exceeding our expectations! The ambiance was incredible... very waterfront/nautical themed in an understated way. We ate upstairs in the dining room which is small (maybe 10 tables), but there was also a bar and an area to eat overlooking the kitchen - as well as a bar downstairs on the first level. Our service was great - very attentive but not rushed. And the food was to die for. As a vegetarian and pescetarian there were enough options to keep us satisfied. We shared butternut squash bisque and risotto fritters as an app - both were delicious! And we each got a salad for out entree (mine with salmon - which was blackened perfectly!). Would give this 5 stars, and DEFINITELY returning!
We celebrated with an early Valentine's Day dinner. The chicken was crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. The short ribs were outstanding--I loved the kimchee. And, my request for smashed potatoes instead of whipped potatoes was no problem at all. The Brussel sprouts were also delicious! It is very off-season, so the restaurant was conducive for conversation.( I bet the restaurant is mobbed during the summer season. You can watch the ferry arrive and passengers disembark.) Definitely worth returning to!
Loved it. Cozy & delicious for an off season gathering.
