At Quetzal, we celebrate regional Mexican cuisine, inspired by traditional flavours and cooking styles, all cooked over a 28 foot-long open fire that runs the span of the hot line.  Traditional moles, sauces and little-known native ingredients are transported to Toronto and infused with the bounty of local Ontario and Canadian produce, for a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Quetzal is located at the corner of College & Bathurst, at the edges of four Toronto hotspot neighbourhoods: Little Italy, Kensington Market, Harbord Village, and the Annex.

    We let the chef choose our meal and wine pairings. The variety was fantastic and we had some definite standouts in the various courses. I would recommend this to anyone who likes new flavours and interesting combinations, staff were plentiful and attentive. Overall a fantastic experience.

    Shout out to JACK our bartender who was amazing and was always so attentive! Chris, who was always making sure that we were taken care of. The right amount of checking in to see how the meal was, providing details and just making the entire dining experience incredible! Michelin star?! Well deserved! Food was top notch. Scallops were to die for. I can’t say enough about this place. Thank you 🙏 so much. We will definitely be back! Bonus: think classy, quality food without the attitude. Love this place. 💥🥰😍

    Wow. Really good. Pricey but the food and service top notch. We sat at the bar and still had 4-5 staff waiting on us. Our bartender, I believe his name is Eddar, gave impressive service while also mixing cocktails for the whole restaurant.

    Largely underwhelming. Out of the multi-course tasting menu, I can think of 3 dishes that were good (not outstanding; just good) and the rest were either average or simply didn’t belong on a tasting menu priced that high. Ended on a bad note as well as we were served the spiced chocolate mousse, which had such an uncomfortable level of heat to it, my partner and I couldn’t eat more than 3 bites. Service and ambience were great, however, for $380 after tax and tip, can’t say it was worth it at all.

    From every single bite to all the members of the team that we had a chance to talk, it was a pleasant experience. We had a beautiful bottle of Blaufränkisch with the tasting menu for two and ending this nice journey with the recommendations of the sommelier with some dessert wine. It was amazing, we had a great night. Portions were generous, quick and efficient service made us even happier. This restaurant is a great example of tradition, culture, flavor and success.

    Dinner was outstanding. We each began with a cocktail, both of which were very good. For the meal we chose to go with the curated tasting menu. Including desert we had 10 items. All were excellent. The sweat bread and seabream were our favourites. The servers did a good job describing each dish and the service was at a good pace. We would highly recommend Quetzal for a unique take on Mexican cuisine.
