Queenstown Public House
The service was wonderful, the ambiance is fantastic for a date nite or brunch with friends. My ahi tuna sandwich used high-quality ingredients but it was lathered in wasabi, which I do enjoy the flavor of, but this was excessive and not tastefully done. I did kindly inform the waitress to inform the chef for future reference. Without asking she ended up removing the item from the bill which I barely had touched. She was lovely from the start. The overall experience was great. I am willing to try again.
Kinda louder music although good for younger age not good for my parents, and drinks weren’t stellar. pot pie great, burger under done but waitress without notice removed from bill bc underdone so overall great experience and would like to try for brunch next time
Server was attentive. Food came quickly.
First time here for dinner; some of members of our party have been here for breakfast and brunch and RAVED about it so we decided to give it a try for dinner. Calamari starter was for sure a winner for the entire table! Super good! Everyone who ordered the KIWILANGO BURGER loved it; I had the TWO BITTIES sliders as a shared starter and had the New Zealand meat pies for the main course; the pies were good but I don’t think I’ll order it again... I missed out on not ordering the burger. Two people had the salmon entree and loved it!
Food was great. The atmosphere, music and lighting was beautiful. Really nice little place - service seemed odd as it didn’t seem like people were organised but if I come to San Diego again I will 100% be coming back! Burgers were great.
Excellent food, attentive service staff and fun atmosphere
Great place all around - I will be back.
The potpie is completely life changing!! The atmosphere is welcoming and enjoyable and the food is fabulous.
Great food and fun unique ambiance. Definitely recommend!
Such a peaceful place to enjoy a meal! The decor is lovely and inviting. The lighting in the evening is beautiful. The food was very good and the New Zealand #45 was amazing! We'll be back!
Great rack of lamb, beet salad and portobello fries! Outside seating was very please and well serviced.
Best food, best atmosphere friendly staff great drinks perfect location extremely unique experience. It's my go to spot in the downtown area of San Diego.
Excellent food and generously sized portions.
My wife and I tried this place before The Fixx concert at the Music Box nearby. We had a table outside by the sidewalk and it was very pleasant and quiet out there. I definitely recommend sitting outside. The food was very good. I had the pot pie and my wife had the quiche, and they were both very tasty and filling. This is a great date night spot if you can get a table outside in the early evening before sunset. Lots of interesting things on the menu and the food seems very good.
From the hostess out front to the servers, everyone was both friendly and professional. Food and drinks were excellent! Definitely coming back.
Love this place! Delicious food, friendly and warm staff, and consistently great service. I wish they had a few more vegetarian options, but I can hang in there until that hopefully comes around!
We come as often as possible and are never disappointed. Great for dates, happy hours, night out with friends, or just because.
Very nice intimate dinner
One of my favorite restaurants/pubs/bars in Little Italy and of course it is not Italian but actually Kiwi food. Such a cozy place, great service, outside seating on the patio or in the cozy bar. Food is good, beers and drinks are good, place is unique, service is great, location also terrific, block off the beaten path of India Street.
Decidedly average food at expensive prices. The best thing was the chicken pot pie
Cocktails and food too expensive. But good food. Liked they offered vegetarian burgers but charged extra!
Beautiful restaurant and delicious cocktails’ can’t wait to come back!
Really fun atmosphere and decor at this historic house, full of kiwi NZ touches. Great food--I had super tasty crunch fish and chips -- more chips than one person could eat! My companion had a great juicy, flavorful burger w delicious bacon and avocado. Friendly waitstaff, really great attitude all round the whole place, with excellent beer and drink selection.
Such good food and not bad prices !! I got the Mac n cheese and it was yummy ! Will come her again ! Very clean and fresh atmosphere
Birthday celebration for a friend. Happy hour prices and menu are great! Food was delicious. Ambiance amazing. I will be back!
The food was pretty good, but we had very slow service. Took a long time to get drinks and we waited over 30 minutes to look at a dessert only to find out it takes 20+ minutes for most of the desserts to cook/bake.
Excellent dog friendly place for happy hour and casual dining!
Queenstown Public House was one of the cutest places I’ve ever been. The ambiance was incredible—there’s so much to look at! In addition, the food was outstanding. Every single person in our 6 person group ordered something different and everyone was happy. Would highly recommend!
A cute restaurant in Little Italy. The wine is served in a regular glass. The appetizer was the best part of the meal. The triple was fresh and tasty We could have stopped there. The ciopino was spicy but most of the mussels had cracked shells and it would have been better in a soupy dish to have the shrimp tail off. The meatloaf was crunchy and shouldn’t be. And the fried onions were not crunchy but rather limp.
Great burgers, good ambience, liked the place, will come back again
Went for dinner at 6p on a Saturday. Not crowded. Sat on the porch and had a fabulous meal/drinks with my family. Will be going back to try the brunch for sure!
Great outdoor seating and cuisine.
Great restaurant I highly recommend the seafood stew it was delicious, to die for and the chicken pot pie was amazing and can easily feed two. Great neighborhood gem, the outdoor atmosphere is oh so charming
We like the food choices and the rustic atmosphere. The place could use some updating however; the dining room had stained tablecloths and menus.....
I was looking for a dog friendly restaurant to take my BF for his birthday. I found this place and loved the look of the restaurant. We made reservations and we were immediately taken to a small table between two diners. The waiter immediately took our order and the humus we ordered came out very promptly. I loved the humus. Great portion and plenty of veggies accompanied it. I ordered the salmon and it was melt in your mouth delicious. The sides were not quite as satisfying for me. Kinda bummed there was no desserts presented. If you are coming from out of town parking maybe hard to find and can be expensive.
This place is so charming that I have been wanting to visit for quite some time. I was not disappointed when we finally visited last Saturday. The food was all so delicious and they have a great selection. For the prices, the portions are very generous and we left full and very happy. I would definitely return and recommend it to friends.
This was a great meal to finish our vacation in San Diego. Perfect for the whole family and gluten free buns were amazing too
Tasty drinks and great ambiance. The servers are attentive and cheery. We shared the lamb and fried green tomato appetizers. Portion sizes are large and the food was tasty. Tomatoes could have used a bit more spice and sauce,
My wife and I went on a Monday evening for our anniversary and were blown away. The food was delicious, we had the Bombay Chicken Sandwich (fried chicken) with a side of sweet potato fries and they were both sooo good! I had an old fashioned which was mixed nice and strong and tasted great. Our server Keith was super attentive and helpful with everything we needed, outstanding service for sure.
Overrated in my opinion. The drinks were okay, the entrees just weren’t there. It was a super cute spot to sit outside though, they definitely have that going. While we don’t recommend them this time. We are willing to give them another shot in the future and try something different.
