Only 20 kilometres North of Brisbane CBD, is our family friendly yacht club and marina. Queensland Cruising Yacht Club restaurant and bar offers amazing views over the yachts and out to Moreton Bay. Our menu is seafood focused with fresh seafood direct from the trawlers next door. A hidden gem in the seaside village of Shorncliffe, but only a train ride from Brisbane. There is live music Sunday afternoons. Grab a drink from the bar and sit alfresco by the water.

Catering ranges from Alacarte breakfast, lunch and dinners. A large selection of platters for any style of function. Tapas offered between meals. Picnic hampers offered for day sailors.
Private party facilities
QCYC Cater for functions from the intimate small affair to events serving well in excess of 100 people. The large Marquee boasts views of the bay over our lush lawn, capturing the fresh sea breezes each day. The air-conditioned Commodore’s room upstairs offers uninterrupted views of the bay against the backdrop of Moreton Island from the balcony, being ideal for private functions. In winter the Members Room boasts a fire place enhancing the cosy feeling of being tucked up from the cold.

No milk in coffee bar so no coffees or white tea available On a busy day it would have been sensible to send a staff member out for milk Sunday is a busy day

The menu is limited to low-end pub fare, and the food is very ordinary. Wine selections are mid-range. Bar staff are pleasant, but I wish they’d find a discrete place to have a smoke break…

We have eaten here previously and it is always a bit hit and miss. I think out of our table of 7 the kids nuggets and chips was the best meal. My nachos had green peas!!!

Would have been nice to get our meals at the same time. The first person was finshed theirs before anyone else got theirs. The nachos was pathetic, the only cheese was on the very bottom, effectively gluing the last few chips to the bottom. Everything else about the QCYC is great, but the kitchen needs a shakeup.

Thank you, we have taken note of your comments. We apologise for the letdown in service on that day, unfortunately we had a shortage of staff in our kitchen on that day, due to illness, and we once again apologise.

This is such a great spot for an afternoon drink and dinner. The view is fantastic. The food is great and good value, and good service too.

Eight of us dined and meals included Salmon, prawn and mango salad topped with calamari, baked salmon salad and chips, calamari and salad and a Lamb Kofta. All meals were delicious. Staff pleasant and efficient. A beautiful day out.

I'm always championing this place to my friends and family, so to have a really bad experience is sad. I used to love coming here, but I have taken off my nostalgic rose tinted glasses and see this place for what it is, a great location with lousy and underwhelming service. I won't go into the nitty gritty, but from not being able to find my online booking I made 4 weeks ago when we arrived, to the manger having a go at my husband when he received the incorrect order which was allergy related - she accused him of not telling them about his allergy at the time of ordering, which is untrue, and then had another go at him about his allergy. Anyone with an allergy knows how to order and usually has a rehearsed line about their allergy to clearly communicate to insure the kitchen gets it right. No one likes to have allergies and no one should be made to feel like a fool because of them. It was a terrible afternoon. Like I said, really sad to be on the side of bad service, but without the location the offering is below standard.
