Very popular destination - car park was full @ midday - beware as a Cricket club is immediately behind pub !! 😩 not saying i saw anything but word to the wise and don't park near the hedge 😉 Food was good 👍 shame no Beef available for Sunday Lunch 😕 Gravy needs some work - can disguise any plate !! It seems it's a popular stop off for the local cycling community - so get there early if you're planning to sit outside.

It was a lovely sunny evening so busy in the outdoor area which is nice. My friend and I tried several times to scan the code at the table to order food and couldn't so I gave up and went to order food at the bar. The queue at the bar was horrendous. I counted 11 people in front of me. I asked one of the young waiters to speak to the manager. The manager walked past me carrying food, said I'll be back in a moment and didn't return. The food was mediocre at best for the price. I found 2 of the young waiters abrupt not just to me but other customers, but I noticed them laughing and joking with people they knew It's many years since I went and I won't be returning

Fantastic helpful waiter arranged our roast dinner to come quickly as we were on our way to a family gathering. He could not have been more helpful. Sunday dinner was very nicely done indeed, couldn’t fault it at all. On a bank holiday weekend though, and with the sports screens, it was a bit rowdy and we were seated right by the constantly opening doors. On a quieter day it would have been more relaxing. It is a nice pub.

Always a pleasant pub to go too, very good value, we had the two eat for £20 menu, the service was good and the food was good.

Very busy and quite noisy, ordered food at the bar and asked if I could have the barbecue sauce separate as I’m not kean on it , when the food arrived it was drizzled all over with barbecue sauce , I caught the attention of the waiter and he did replace the meal very quickly, bit to noisy for me, we were sat next to a very loud group of people and found it difficult to have a conversation between ourselves, but overall it was a decent meal and they can’t control the noise level .

We both had the turkey Sunday dinner which was excellent, followed by the new dessert Bakewell Tart, it was nice but not as good as we thought it would be, more like a cherry tart , but always pleased with the service we get at the Queens Head .

Often go to the Queens Head for lunch, but this was the first time I’d been for Sunday lunch for a long time, I went with a former work colleague who is not easily impressed, the meal was lovely and she was amazed at the value of the meal, she also loved the sticky toffee pudding, one of the best she’d eaten she said. I would definitely go again on a Sunday as I really enjoyed both the meal and the company.
