Taste the Stone Steak experience! The Queen Victoria Stone Steak Restaurant situated on the 1st floor. Uses hot lava stones baked in a special oven to 440c so your meal will sizzle away until cooked to perfection. Our customers are in complete control. Nice pink lamb, rare fillet steak or well done wild boar. It"s up to you, cook it the way you like it, perfect every time. For the more adventurous we often have exotic specials like snake steak, zebra or alligator. We use only the finest meats, seafood and exotic cuts, from local suppliers. All our steaks are matured for at least 21 days. Great vegetarian and delicious seafood options available. We also serve wonderfully hand crafted starters and desserts and you can finish the night with coffee and sweet treats.

The concept is brilliant; our species have been cooking on hot rocks for probably as long as we have been cooking, but the restaurant can't abdicate their responsibility to deliver great taste because the punters do the meat cooking themselves. The meats were delivered straight from the fridge without any attempt to marinate or season them. The result was something rather more bland than I could have achieved at home. Modern palates are more educated, and people expect something value-added in the restaurant experience. The novelty of the hot rock is short-lived when you are chewing on bland, unseasoned meat. The hot stone occupies the centre of the serving platter, so you have to serve yourself from the wing dishes, which is rather awkward and counter-intuitive. On the brighter side, the staff are both attentive and enthusiastic, and they know the meaning of hospitality. As it stands I couldn't in any conscience recommend this to friends or family; but with a few tweaks this could be a really fun and memorable place to dine.
