Queen Mary Royal Sunday Brunch
Much too expensive for the uninspired quality of the food. For example, the cocktail shrimp were small and soggy. Sorry to say I won't be back.
Liked the little musical group. The $79 fee for average speed of wine refills was lacking. Also for the price the $15 parking should be waived. The price is double a normal brunch so the question is, "how much tip for a brunch where I do all the work?" I wondered if a tip is appropriate when the bill for three is $240.
We wondered about precautions taken to prevent the coronavirus spread. There were no covers on the utensils that each person touched. In terms of ambience, it seems a bit dated, old carpet and furnishings. Seems like the area could be refreshed. The cost of $79per person seems way to expensive, I probably would not recommend in the near future
Entertaining out of town family
The presentation and ambience was amazing. Thought the price was a bit steep $79 each including champagne but, with the 3 piece band, we figure we got a concert to go with.
Everything was exceptional. The food was excellent, the ambiance was excellent, the wait staff was wonderful. The only PROBLEM I had was that NO ONE WOULD VALIDATE MY PARKING, they told me at the door "oh someone outside will validate your ticket", I go outside no one is there. I went all the way down to the entrance of hotel and the people there played ignorant and knew nothing about validating parking ticket. I spent 20 minutes being sent from one place to the next by employees telling me "oh someone else will validate your parking" HORSEFEATHERS! NO ONE VALIDATED MY PARKING! and sent me on a wild goose chase looking for someone to validate ticket. If you have NO INTENTION of validating parking at least have the decency to be honest and tell me instead of lying to my face and have me running around the ship like an idiot looking for a person to validate my parking ticket. If I return I will Uber so you get NO MORE MONEY from me for PARKING.
We had a wonderful time! The food was amazing, the live band was great and our waiter was awesome! The only negative thing I have to say is that I was a bit sad the toro sushi ran out so quickly. I had one piece and when I went back for another it had completely disappeared and was replaced with unagi. Glad I did have the one piece, though. So delicious!
it is a bit expensive but worth it. The coffee is delicious and the service was friendly. The live music was a delightful surprise
Gone down hill in quality since our last visit. We brought another couple with us and they thought it over priced and low quality also.
We won't be back.
A lot of choices.
The prime rib and beef brisket were my favorites. The sushi was excellent. The service was superb.
We came for a special mom and daughter day with my pre-teen daughter. The servers came over initially, but I only received one refill of my coffee and it was barely anything. I wasn't really drinking much of the champagne/orange juice combo (Mimosa), but I really did want some coffee. The food was good, but the service was definitely poor. Will not be returning.
You should do it at least once! The ship is cool, the food is good, with good selections, but the service from Pablo was superb!
You definitely pick this place for the setting more than anything else, but the food is a little uneven (though the omelet station was fab - very well prepared), and the service is not particularly good (I was given apple juice instead of iced tea, we had to ask three times for coffee refills, it took forever to get plates cleared, etc.), though the staff is friendly. If you're looking for a unique experience, it's fun, but def don't go in with elevated expectations of service or food quality. If I had a big group of folks of folks from out of town (esp a big family group, and expense weren't a concern), I'd come back.
Waiters were wonderful staff was great check in was easy and we were seated right away
It had been about 15 years since I had been to the Queen Mary Royal Brunch and I'm happy to say it was as fabulous as I remembered! It was my birthday weekend so I suggested it to my friends as the spot to celebrate. They were wildly impressed! They were dazzled by the beauty of the room, amazed by the warmth, attentiveness and professionalism of the staff and simply astounded by the variety and quality of the food! All they could say was "when are we coming back?!" To say an impression was left is an understatement. While other brunches/buffets quality drops to cut down on costs it is nice to know that after 15 years the Queen Mary continues to provide a top notch experience. Thank you, thank you and know that it will not take another 15 years for me or my friends to return!
Amazing buffet with a wide variety of options. A little pricey ($79 w/champagne and $69 w/o), but definitely worth it.
My wife & I loved it found dining within the historic walls a truly amazing experience. Will definitely recommend to friends and will come back with family on their next trip to Los Angeles
Great Fun brunch, filled with laughter, great music, fun, and amazingly wonderful fresh food.
I used to go to visit the Queen Mary as a child. 30 years later I went back for brunch. Best decision ever.
We were very well pleased. Food was delicious and ambience was superb. Friendly staff made the experience memorable. Band was wonderful. Thank you.
Great selection, everyone in or party liked somthing different. Desserts were a great selection too.Would recommend ,just a little pricey
Went for brunch for my boyfriends birthday. This is out sections time at the Queen Mary’s Sunday Brunch and both experiences have been phenomenal.
Wonderful atmosphere, wonderful presentation of food, wonderful variety.
at the risk of coming across a bit pedantic - it would be nice to have at least some sort of guideline on a dress code. Now there are some people who dress up, others are in beach clothes or (metal) festival outfit. I'm not advocating a posh dress code to make things elitist, but a bit of a guideline to get some uniformity would improve our experience. If everyone comes in beach gear, we will too, and it would put us at ease.
What a great brunch! The food was amazing. The music was delightful. Everything was great. We can’t wait to come back.
The ambiance was good, the food was also good, however it was not worth the price. The service started off quite well, then after about 30 mins the waiter looked like he'd given up and we had to ask him for water and orange juice, for the next 40 mins. Apparently the bar closed in the dining area at 1pm which seems odd. Asked our server if we could purchase any alcohol and he said no. So that is off my bucket list and I'm sorry to say, I just couldn't recommend the brunch for the price..
Though it was pricey, it was an amazing experience. Food was beautifully prepared and presented. Entertainment outstanding. Service prompt and pleasant. (My champagne glass and coffee cup never got empty!) And, of course, the dining room is unparalleled!
The parking is an issue and the price of the brunch is a bit too high. Otherwise, we had a good experience and nice fotos.
Service at QM Sunday Brunch is usually quite good. 02/16 brunch, our assigned servers seemed to struggle quite a bit. Food was delicious. Commodore Everett stopped by to greet us. Always fun to talk to the Commodore.
There was a Scottish festival on the same day and there was no place to park. We were rerouted to the Pike in Long Beach and had to take a bus back to the Queen Mary. We were an hour and a half late. I am 70 + years and my son has terminal cancer. A family outing for four was terrible. The food and service was excellent but the trip to and from had much to be desired. I wished someone would have told us about the festival and I would have rescheduled.
The embiance, as always, was exceptional. The service was prompt and courteous. I miss the harpist that used to be perched above the main buffet, but the small band was very good. The omlette station was wonderful. The selection of seafood was excellent, but my biggest complaint was the bagels, that accompany the smoked salmon, were tiny and hard. I mean solid and stale. Very unexpected. Also, the carving stations selection of 3 meats were all extremely overcooked and dried out. Beyond well done. I could not eat any of that. That was disappointing to say the least. The sushi station was well maintained and everything there was fresh and delicious. And the dessert selection was exceptional.
Brunch was delicious. Great environment. Good variety and fresh. Sea food was also very fresh. I invited three people and all of them had a great time. We spent the night and the entire experience was great.
We come here for all birthdays now. I now have my friends going also.
Valentines weekend brunch with my girls.
Not on Valentine's Day/Weekend. They charge more for nothing more. Great value any other Sunday.
DON’T COME HERE WITH A LARGE GROUP!!! Organizing my event for a large party should have been seamless for the price of $100 a head. My invoice was incorrect and even after bringing it to their attention it was not corrected, I attempted to correct it before my event with the banquet manager and was told don’t worry about it, it will all be corrected the day of the event. The day of the event it was not correct and in the middle of eating myself and several of my guests were approached regarding the bill and the bill was also discussed in front of the guest of honor. They could have waited till after the meal but no right in the middle of eating. The service was horrible and we had to ask several times for more water, orange juice and champagne. We had 15 people in our party so paid well over $1500. For that price I expect much better treatment and service. I would not come back.
This was hands down one of the top Brunch Buffeys that I've been to! I would definitely go again when I visit LA.
It was a really cool experience but couldn't see doing it again. The breakfast food was fine and the other foods made it more exotic to a traditional brunch but 70 dollars is a lot of money unless you are eating plenty of plates full of food.
Food, service and the Queen Mary are amazing but the price per-person at almost $80 is a bit high.
Simply phenomenal place to visit and the Royal Brunch is amazing to say the least. All staff is super friendly, helpful and polite. Thank you
