   Good Morning! We got to the restaurant, released our driver, and walked up to the door to see a notice that they were “closed for spring freshening”. Ended up walking (in my heels on cobblestones/kill me) to the market for a beautiful dinner at Maximilian. To make matters worse, it was my new boyfriend’s 51st birthday and I had organized this evening. I actually left a message the next day (I normally wouldn’t do this) just to give Queen City Grill a “heads up” that this had happened and I never heard back. We are neither one of us prone to worrying/complaining, but this was embarrassing for ME. Our goal had been to dine at a new-to-us restaurant (and we are social foodies so it’s hard to find undiscovered ones) and create new memories for our new relationship and that didn’t happen.    The Grill has long been our favorite lace going back decades, so we were sorry to hear it was closing awhile ago...then resurrection! It is back and it is the same warm, cozy and enjoyable place we loved from before. The food was excellent and the service superb. Long may the Grill continue.

   Not a bottle of wine under $50, and the price goes way up from there. Food's ok, not terrific. The menu shifts around, so when you find a favorite & go back expecting to order it, you can expect disappointment. Since it reopened, the emphasis seems to be on profit over quality. The new owners still seem to be struggling to figure out how to provide a great dining experience. Too bad. I LOVED this place.

   Delicious food (we had grilled asparagus and seared scallops) that was perfectly cooked, super friendly service and a nice ambiance.

   I think they must have changed owners. It was early on Saturday night and they were already out of menu items. Their wine list has ancient wines( mostly 1990's) and no really good current ones. The dinner was good but not exceptional as it used to be. Sadly I think this place will eventually go out of business. Too bad-- it used to be one of our" go to favorites".

   This is our second visit in the past few months. Both times the food and service were great. Its fun to see this old-time Seattle venue spruced up with a new menu and refreshed decor. I love the old-world ambiance and the high-backed wood booths. Would highly recommend it for a quiet, romantic dinner or special occasion. Good, classic, Northwest cuisine.

   I used to love this place . Our meal was a disappointment and the service was about what I'd expect if I went to a Denny's

   The menu has completely changed and there’s really not much in the way of healthier options. Very few entrees and 3/4 are the usual unhealthy picks. The salads don’t come with a protein. We ordered an entree and 2 appetizers and they were barely edible. SO MUCH SALT. I have a really high tolerance for salt and still couldn’t eat it. I’ve never encountered this at a restaurant before. It was so bad. We ordered two mixed drinks and couldn’t taste any alcohol in either. Mine gave me a wicked headache - never happens. We used to really enjoy this place and still like the ambience and general chill factor. But can’t eat there.

    The Food and service was amazing. Great place to take a special person. Wine list was over the top.
