The Quay Inn is set right on the the quay at Wareham overlooking the river Frome, and has been welcoming patrons since it was built in 1747.

In addition to a fantastic array of high-quality local ales, beers, and refreshments, we offer mouth-watering food menus featuring the unique Black Rock grill, along with a variety of traditional snacks and meals. Enjoy top-notch entertainment throughout the year and a warm welcome every day of the week.

    The Black Rock Grill is a unique, delicious, healthy interactive dining experience that allows your meal to be presented cooking on the volcanic rocks at your table. You can enjoy a meal freshly prepared and cook it to your personal taste whether it’s rare, medium or well done. The Black Rock Grill method of dining uses super heated rock that sears in all the natural juices, flavours and nutrients. This guarantees a taste that is unique to Black Rock Grill dining. For the perfect Black Rock Grill experience, simply cut one or two bite size portions off your chosen meal and lay them on the rock to sear and cook to your liking. All served with rustic chips or jacket potato and a fresh dressed salad.

    The Quay Inn nowadays go from quality food, friendly team - as their benchmark, - and just get better and better! So, our latest meal experience has been Really fine hot fresh tasty plate full meals, and Really friendly happy assuringly comfortable visible staff - both sides of the counter! With a Top location, too, of course!

    Ordered the tasting board for 2, dirty fries, boabuns and onion rings with cocktails. Was all very promptly brought out and tasted great, filled both myself and husband up. Definitely recommend for a warm afternoon.
