   On arriving the restaurant staff seem very flustered and took several minutes to take a drinks order. After asking twice to order, our waitress took our order, repeated it to make sure she'd taken it down correctly. After waiting 45 minutes we asked where our starters were and the waitress came back to say the order hadn't been put through and wasn't on the spike. The manager was called and didn't seem overly apologetic - our drinks were comped and we left after over an hour since sitting down. Overall a really poor experience.

   Had booked a table for 7pm but when we got there they were practically empty. Got served pretty quick. The food came out quick too and was better than I had expected. It is quite pricey, but depends on the dish and how many courses you have. We only had starter, main and dessert and drinks which came to £34 per person. But food was excellent!

   My partner took me for my birthday..the atmosphere is very relaxed. The oysters were lovely and the seafood platter is highly recommended. The staff are polite and the setting looking over the river helped to make it a very pleasant visit. We will definitely return to this restaurant and will highly recommend to our friends. Thank you Quay..!

   Had an amazing birthday there. Food was absolutely gorgeous and service attentive. It was my birthday and they wrote ‘happy birthday’ in chocolate on my pudding, was a lovely touch.

   Saturday night & a booking for 6. Couldn't fault the service - quick, attentive, polite and talkative. Lovely atmosphere - relaxed and chilled. Not stuffy. We all had starters & mains with some having desserts. Overall the food was good. Chicken wings, squid, fish cake & crab & shrimp starters were very good. Chicken wings were huge! Mains were all nicely presented and decent size portions. The seafood platter was average - luke warm mussels in very brittle shells. Cod, prawns (2) & salmon cooked nicely, but nothing special. Squid was delicious. Steaks looked grey, were quite thin & overcooked to what was ordered. Perfectly edible, but not restaurant quality (Sorry but had better at Beefeater!) The accompanying lobster was apparently 'nothing special'. Depending on steak choice will depend on sides, but all were nicely executed. Salmon was apparently delicious, no complants on that front. Other food that was brought out to other diners looked good (burgers & fish) though & nicely presented. Desserts - thought the cheese board was a joke! Arrived with 3 very small pieces of cheese - 'blue', brie & gruyere (strange choice for a cheese board). The gruyere was basically the rind, so sent back & 2 larger pieces were quickly delivered. The plate had lots of fruit to pack out the portion. Although tasty, not good value. The other desserts, frangipan & the petite dessert were ok (Although they had run out of macaroons so we got a chocolate truffle instead). Wine list. Good choice, but overpriced - as are most places these days - for the wines on offer. Would we return - yes, but not for steaks or the cheesboard!! Overall a pleasant dining experience & nice to go somewhere in Bedford that offers a good food variety.

   The ambience was exactly what we were looking for on a Tuesday night, not too busy so was a very relaxed atmosphere. The food was brilliant and the variety of drinks available too was good. I would highly recommend visiting for a quality meal food and service

   Friendly greeting on arrival. Quay has a airy, buzzy feel about it. Our waitress arrived promptly to describe the specials and take our wine order - good wine list. We both chose the sea bass. It was cooked to perfection with a nice crispy skin, good vegetables and lovely new potatoes. The service was friendly and efficient. The only criticism I would make is that it was very noisy but we were sat at a section at the back which was quieter. Will definitely return and recommend to friends.

    Excellent service, great location and an amazing choice of seafood. I would most definatly retrun to the QUAY.
