Food was average despite strong ratings. Cold when it came out
Little gem we found. Love the gas fire roasted meats and Pizza. Baked veggies good too, healthy real food. Been there several times already. Quaint!
Has to strive to be worst than that. Tasteless food for sterters. The waitress tried to be efficient, the problem is the food, that seems to be made elsewhere and received by courier.
Just okay - I was expecting more. Prices were what you expect and it was nice and quiet on the Monday night I was there, but my pasta seemed underdone while the seafood in it (what there was) was overdone. Not sure what happened there.
Food was very good. Does not have a full liquor license so you are limited. Staff was friendly and quick.
Not as good as past experiences.
Like this place, good food and waiter was great. We did make reservations for 7:30 pm and didn't get seated until about 8 p.m. I understand that happens on a busy Saturday night but we were the first of 3 groups to arrive for 7:30 reservations and they kept passing us over for the other 2 groups of 4 and 4 people. We were 3 woman. So would not recommend if too busy and I wish we had left. I felt that was rude and disrespectful.....Have come to this place many times...time to check out some others.
Always a pleasure eating here. Great menu and wine selections that are reasonably priced.
Can’t go wrong with the Risotto specials and the calamari appetizer is fantastic - not greasy and high quality seafood.
Food was awesome. Waitress was very stressed and did not come back and check on us. Needed to ask for refills on water and drinks. Never cleared our plates until way after. Not sure if tip was added on but we did pay tip based on the total. Not sure if waitress was new
Food is always amazing when we come here. Love the ambiance though it does get quite loud at times.
The food was good and service was excellent but small and close tables. Better for casual or pizza not my favorite for a special night out.
Food is always very good. We normally have a waiter named Michael who is fantastic and super attentive, but this time we were given a different waiter and he was absolutely terrible. He was more interested in flirting with girls at the bar than waiting on our table. I asked him for fresh cracked pepper on my pasta and he retrieved a 2 and half foot pepper grinder, obviously designed for a waiter to be able to grind for you over a long or large table, and he handed it to me to grind my own pepper. Normally this would be fine if it was a normal size, but I literally had to stand up to grind my own pepper while he stood there and watched me do it. He never brought us bread and this place is well known for their bread. I asked for recommendations and he had none. He never refilled our water glasses, we constantly had to ask other waiters to do it because he was chatting with ladies at the bar. We love this restaurant and always visit it when we are in Boston, but the service was so bad we may have to find us another restaurant or always ask for Michael.
Extremely disinterested service was a big disappointment. We were a table of four, two adults and two kids, and two tables around us were seated about 15 minutes after us yet ordered and received their food well before us. We had to ask for bread which was provided promptly to other tables. Through all of this, our waiter was either missing in action or preening. This was a Saturday evening and the restaurant was busy, but he really needed an attitude adjustment. Food, when it arrived, was ok but not fantastic. Restaurant was cozy with little space between tables and a cool breeze will be felt if seated near the entrance. Overall, not the best dining experience, soured by the service.
Went with a friend on a cold winter night, and loved the cozy ambiance, and the fireplace! Easy to hear each other talk as well, not too noisy. Great food & service.
Good food, great wait staff and service. A nice place to eat before a Bruins game.
Great small place in the North End with reasonably priced food. The gnocchi was unreal and will definitely be back again for it!
Great food, great service. We would definitely go back next time we are in Boston.
We come to Quattro often however this visit was not one of the better ones. Asked to change tables due to the door draft and were refused. Asked for an extra topping on a pizza and were refused, even though we have done it every other visit. We will probably be back just not as often as before.
Great Euro-style service. No rush, but the server was there when we needed him. The food and wine were good, with lots of other dishes we would like to try. We will be back!
Pros: great Naples style pizza, fresh-tasting ingredients.
Cons: pasta not “al dente” as you would expect at an Italian restaurant
Great food speedy service and romantic ambiance. Will return.
We had a lovely time at Quattro. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful in describing many dishes to us. The food was served promptly and was delicious. The only down side was the constant cold draft every time someone opened the restaurant door. I had to keep my coat on my lap all evening. But if it's not ridiculously cold out, definitely give it a try! A cozy restaurant with authentic Italian food and wonderful staff.
Pizza as our app was great. Bolognese was cold, seafood did not taste fresh. Disappointed overall.
The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, service was speedy. The ambiance is very calm, cozy, and slightly fancy but not too much. The pizza was absolutely delicious. The cocktails were great and a good variety. I would definitely go back, I loved it!
Amazing service and delivery. Everything was very fresh and authentic. The place isn't overly large but if you want a real Italian experience, choose this place!
Nice Italian-style pizza, cozy and beautiful place. Service was a bit anxious.
Entrees were really good, but calamari appetizer was a little undercooked. Overall good experience.
The pizza was great but the dessert and service were a disaster. It was extremely busy and because of this we felt like we were being rushed to get out of there as fast as possible. Our waiter was rushing everything so much that the experience was not a nice one. He even brought the bill without us asking for it (we still wanted to order dessert) while the last plate was still on the table. The custard dessert was not good at all. The sugar was not caramelised and tasted like lighter fluid (this was the case with two different desserts). The creme itself tasted like it came out of a package from the store. I was incredibly disappointed about this place, given that it was listed in a few top 10 lists of restaurants in Boston.
In addition we also noticed we got charged a 18% tip automatically (I see this mentioned in other reviews so checked up on it) because we were supposedly 6 people (in reality only 4 of us). We would have never tipped this high after such a crap service. Avoid this place: they just scam you.
A former colleague and I shared two pizzas and they were delicious. We sat on the windows and it added to the overall ambiance...definitely will go back
Waitress was great! Food was pretty good.
Great service, great staff, great food. Noisy but outweighed by everything else.
The service and cuisine was exceptional! Always my favorite when in Boston. Exactly like the pizza in Naples and it doesn’t get any better than that.
Great service, great Italian food!
Our pizza and salad were good. Our waiter was great! The only complaint was that we had reservations, but still had to wait 35 minutes for a table.
We had a delicious supper before the Celtics game....can’t wait to visit again
The waitress was inattentive and did not bring several items that we had asked for, such as bread that should have been given at the beginning, a glass of wine (that we ordered, never received, but still came up on the check), and water.
The CALAMARI made my husband very sick for the remainder of the night. The white wine was way too sweet and overpriced. The entrees were subpar and not worth the cost.
We tried several different items among the 4 of us and each one was delicious!
We got there from out of town and had no idea what to expect. The food was decent, not great. The price for that part of town was pretty good and the service was above average. The pizza actually looked really good at the next table. I had a venison rack that was pretty good. As I said it was not bad, just not great.
The food was good. The place was too loud to talk easily.
Fun , busy restaurant, get to view the rotisserie while dining , delicious oven fired pizza
