About Quartino

Quartino, an urban Italian restaurant and wine bar, is the creation of Hugo Ralli, Steve Lombardo (owners of Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse, Hugo’s Frog Bar & Fish House, LUXBAR) and Exec Chef / Partner John Coletta. Quartino combines the best of Italy’s osteria and enoteca to offer an authentic everyday Italian food and wine experience. “Where wine is cheaper than water” Throughout Europe, in bistro after osteria after enoteca, fresh local wines of high quality and unique characteristics are priced as a less expensive alternative to bottled water. Reservation requests for patio seating are not accepted. Patio seating is first come, first serve.

This place is the best in food and value - especially in a downtown Chicago location.

Do not miss this place. Many shareable plates but all upscale products. No chain food here at all.

We made reservations and we were escorted to the smallest, worst table in the restaurant. We were sandwiched between tables and the pathway of the wait staff. The service was ok, the food was delicious; however with so many wonderful choices in Chicago we will not be returning.

Quartino's is a "go to" spot for a sharable Italian meal. I particularly love Quartino's because if you bring a small to moderately sized group, you can choose a wide variety of plates and sample a variety of styles.

Great energetic vibe. Food was varied and the tapas style Italian food was a nice change and allowed for experimentation. Would definitely dine here again.

Went to dinner with four friends, glad we had a reservation. The dishes are made to be shared, like Italian tapas. We ordered two appetizers and four entree/pasta dishes and that was more than enough food. Great taste!

Wow this place is incredibly loud! Couldn’t even hear the person next me without leaning into them. The meatballs were delicious, but I was highly disappointed in the gnocchi and the vodka pasta. Margarita pizza was also good, my favorite was a great server who was awesome at bringing Diet cokes with a lime.

Hands down one of the best Italian meals I've ever had. Got a recommendation for a charceuterie board, pleasantly surprised by both mushroom and asparagus risottos, best Alfredo ever, great beef filets, and great wine. Will never make a trip to Chicago without visiting and will recommend to any friend.

I brought my cousin who lives out of town to Quartino, and we had a great time. Made me feel proud to live in Chicagoland. Very busy on a Sunday night; probably impacted the service a bit. The food and wine, however, were both outstanding. We won't hesitate to go back

Love this place! Our reservation was at 5:30 and they were running a little behind - so they offered us a free glass of wine on the house while we waited. Always has the best service! The food is also always fantastic. Highly recommend!

The cheese, drinks, and meals were fantastic. I recommend the Short Rib and mashed potatoes; it was perfect. I also recommend the Espresso Martini; that was delicious.

Ordered the gnocchi, pappardelle, and duck prosciutto pizza. All three seemed to lack flavor or seasonings - just a little but of salt would have gone a long way. Service wasn't terrible but lacked attention to detail. I walked away disappointed by my experience here overall.

Delicious eggplant parmesan!! Waiter was accommodating - we did not care for the taste of the bottle of wine we ordered & although our waiter felt that it tasted the way it should, he suggested a different wine that we thoroughly enjoyed. Appreciated that!

Our group of 11 made reservations for a 1:30 lunch. We were immediately seated in the cozy restaurant dining area. Our waiter Sam took drink orders and explained the menu and their "sharing" philosophy. The tomato basil soup and the pizzas and salads we shared were excellent! Sam was very attentive as was the staff that cleared away dishes. They have a large table in the middle of the restaurant filled with baguettes! We are from Wisconsin and truly enjoyed the uniqueness of the restaurant.

I set things up for a party of 10-friends in business getting together. It was a great experience and three hours went by very quickly.

The waiter was very helpful in making selections which allowed us to sample a wide variety of the dishes. I was a very pleased about it being such a positive experience and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.

The meatball appetizer was awesome. A little more red sauce would have made them perfect. Pork Raviolis were so amazing wish we would have ordered 2!!!! The Baby octopus was enjoyed by me but my husband said “ this is like eating something where a rubber band made a baby with seafood” we accidentally ended up with a $51 bottle of Chianti and we must’ve met it was super great.

Quartino was fantastic. We had a 3 people join us last minute for our dinner and they were more than accommodating to the last minute change. Additionally we were contacted before our reservation to see if we would be interested in the family style menu or would like custom made menus. As I said, seriously accommodating. The wait staff was also wonderful as were the bartenders. Would recommend for a group setting.
