Great food. Better service. Our server Melanie was terrific.
Great restaurant, thank you!
Everything was fantastic...food, service and wine. Our server Ariel was awesome. Could not have been better. Can’t wait to go back.
Food was soooo good! We had the spaghetti pomodoro, lamb rigatoni & soprano pizza. Our server, Paul, was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was warm & welcoming. Bar side was nicely busy and restaurant side was just perfect for us to unwind. Food came out promptly. Highly recommend for any event!
We bring nearly every out of town guest to Quartino because we know it will be a standout dining experience. We were uncharacteristically disappointed in the food this visit. It was a Monday after what was likely an extremely busy weekend, so perhaps it was an off night, but the food was not the usual delicious quality. I hate to even think about going elsewhere, but we may try another downtown option next time, especially for an off-peak evening.
Family style dishes that a bit smaller portion than we expected but yummy anyway. The server was very helpful and checked in on us frequently too.
Great pasta! Quick and friendly service! Great atmosphere!
Was recommended to eat at Quartino to carbo-load for the Chicago Marathon. Food was great and prices were very reasonable! Would definitely recommend
We had great experience with pre marathon dinner
This is a fantastic dining experience. The staff were excellent and friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious
I am a Marathoner and there a lot of us eating pasta in the day before the race and It seens they were not prepared for this
We dined at Quartino the evening before the Chicago marathon. The restaurant was packed! However, they delivered delicious food and was very timely and friendly. It was so good that we came back for lunch on Monday. Definitely going to come back again when we visit Chicago!
Chicago Marathon prerace dinner!
I recommend the penne a la vodka. I wasn’t overall wowed by the food. But service was excellent.
They took great care of our party of 13. Helped us get a feel on how much to order - everyone was full and no food wasted. It was delicious! And all for about $20pp after tip.
Pre marathon pasta!
Everything was amazing. We love Quartino! Six of us enjoyed a perfect meal—the service and the food could not have been better!
Delicious food and outstanding service! Whenever we visit Chicago this is one of our favorite restaurants. The soup, salads, pasta and pizza are all very good. We love the penne al a vodka and homemade pizzas the best. Service is top notch. Atmosphere is very cozy.
We love Quartino! Always good service and fabulous food! We eat here every time we are in the city! My favorites are the pizza, short ribs, arugula salad and the pastas are amazing! A place not to miss!
Good food, good service and a very nice staff. You won’t be disappointed!!
Food and wine was GREAT, they do a great job of explaining their unique family-style way of eating. Our server was excellent, our main problem is on a management level. They seat a LOT of big parties. We were a table of 2 and were seated 25 minutes after our reservation (and we were 10 minutes early), behind a party of 12, 6, 8, 7, 6, 5. Seating so many large parties puts them way behind on their reservations (it doesn't matter how fast you push food out, large parties sit and visit longer with eachother, its just the way people work), I don't know if its the management's fault or the reservation software that needs some updated settings. Once they sat us people were yelling on both sides, and we were very politely hurried from our table to accomodate a table of 25 (after we stood up they pushed our table onto the end of the growing party beside us). It was 9:45 PM, so we had been seated for just over an hour, and I heard the new large party complaining about having an 8:30 reservation and just getting seated. They have got to make a change.
Went there with a group of friends for a Birthday! Everything was great! They brought out dessert and a candle for the Birthday Girl! Overall great place and food!
Good food, homemade. Portions are single serve, don't believe it when staff says they are shareable portions. Building is nice but echos. So it gets really loud when busy. Staff was okay. Waitress wasn't as attentive as she could have been, although that might have been because they were busy. They also don't do anything special for birthdays, which was kind of disappointing. But overall, would still recommend and go back.
Large variety of food served as prepared, outstanding service and quality.
Delicious! Fresh and flavorful. Service was great. Awesome menu options.
They didn’t seat us until 20 minutes after our reservation. The food was great and the ambience was nice but the lag in seating really killed the mood for us.
Not sure why there are so many positive reviews of this restaurant are so positive. The food is mediocre at best, the atmosphere is so incredibly loud you will not be able to hear your guests, and the host staff/management team is incredibly rude. Our party made a reservation and was not seated until 45 minutes later. When we finally ordered our food everyone’s dish came out at different times with one order coming out 30 minutes after the first. When asked if it was normal we were told yes.
If all of this wasn’t bad enough, the food was completely awful. No flavor, under cooked, and improperly plated.
Save yourself time and frustration by going anywhere else. Olive Garden would’ve honestly had better food.
So disappointed. 4.6 is a good rating on open table. Was expecting a great meal. Food was good not great. Service was not good - one mistake on the order and one dish that came 10 minutes after everyone else was done. Noise level was so bad we could not hear. Kind of ruined the meal.
Food was delicious, server was great. The only negative was that it was a little loud. I would definitely go back again!
Always love it at Quartino! Thanks for the good times.
No need to mince words, from beginning to end service was poor and food was worse.
That food is great, but the service made the evening special.
Tourism to celebrate the 20th marriage anniversary
Not sure why but a simple order took forever to bring out. Place is normally quick.
After getting a recommendation from a friend to go here, we decided to celebrate our first anniversary here and it was amazing! We were initially worried that it was a tapas style but everything turned out delicious in the end!
Food was excellent. Comfortably sized sharing plates, not too big or small so the dining experience is very social and interactive.
Our waiter, Iggy, was superb!!
Waited 25+ minutes for one pasta course. The server was MIA a majority of the dinner.
Love this place
Quartino is one of my favorite restaurants and I eat there often, but I was so disappointed with my recent visit for a friend's birthday. We had a reservation at 7:30 and weren't seated until 8:15. No one apologized to us for the 45 minute wait, nor did anyone offer free dessert or drinks or anything to help make up for this. Once we were seated, our server wasn't super attentive, but it was very busy, so whatever. The food, as always, was very good. Unfortunately several people in our group had to leave before dessert to get back to the suburbs and/or relieve their babysitters. I'll be back to Quartino (I can't stay away from the pappardelle and spinach salad!), but I'll definitely be more hesitant in recommending it.
