   we loved the food, it tasted absolutely great. A shame that the acoustics of the restaurant are rather bad so it comes accross terribly noisy. Please change your wine glasses to actual wine glasses, these small "lemonade glasses" are really not for wine.... but other than that I would recommend this place to anyone!!

   I used to love this restaurant during the pandemic. They need to bring back family sized serving portions. The idea of Italian tapas is stupid. I wish the dishes would also be served on time and that service would be a little more organized. On mother's day we were served except my father's dish never came out and we did not have good service. The portions are very small and it just isn't worth the money anymore. The tiramisu is still good, though.

   Over the years, Quartino lowered the quality of their food, particularly the pizzas, the meats, and some of the pastas. Pizzas now taste close to nothing, making their ~20$ pizzas indistinguishable from a 10$ Domino's. Ratio of price/portion of meals makes this ambience-friendly old glory of Chicago pricey for the quality of food served. Waiters are in general not well prepared.

    The food was decent but it was absolutely outrageous service. All of the waitstaff was acting very strange as if they were on drugs. We had five in our party. Three of them got their food, FINISHED their food and had their plates removed before the last two of us got our food. It was a 20 minute delay after the first people got their food. Overall horrible service, will never go back.

    we waited over 30" after we finished eating for our last two items, one of which was olives and took no time to prepare. Crowded and loud. Service very slow. Food was so so. Why have they taken so many items off the menu? Where are the meatballs?Disappointed.

    Food was great. Service was poor. No one ever came to serve us and we had to ask the waitress waiting on the table near us if she could get us a server. She ended up taking on our table after a while and my food was comped because it took unusually long to come out.

    Delicious, fresh Italian with spotty service and a noise level so loud my ears were ringing. As much as I love the food, I won’t go back during peak hours. It was impossible to have a conversation due to the noise.

    Food was incredible as always. I have been here many times and the service was off just touch compared to usual. Part of our order was lost and came out very late. That is not normal for this establishment however. Definitely, recommend!

    We had asked for bottled spring water. Apparently the restaurant was out. They didn’t say anything, but five minutes later, the restaurant manager came to our table with four choices of bottled spring water. The server alerted management who then ran to the store to buy some. First, wow. You don’t see that level of service these days. And they didn’t even charge for the water. Amazing service.

    Food was great. Service was super slow - our waiter said they had just re-opened the patio and weren’t ready from a process perspective and it showed. Took a long time to order and receive our drinks. Once we ordered food, the dishes came out quickly. Tables outside were a little too close together and it was quite loud.

    Another mixed performance at Quartino after many years of the food always being perfectly prepared and consistent. On this occasion the pizza was excellent but linguine vongole had overcooked mushy pasta and was over-salted. Very disappointing as having visited this place regularly for over a decade I never had to give any thought to whether the food would be properly cooked, but now it seems we can’t take that for granted anymore. I did not send the pasta back because we were short of time but would do so next time. Having said all this, the service from our server Luke was excellent - very friendly and attentive, and the vibe was good as always.

    Extremely loud environment and very tight seating where the staff kept bumping up against our chairs. I got the penne alla vodka and the pasta was al dente and sauce was watery rather creamy. Had barely any flavor to it. The only thing that was good was the dessert being the Tiramisu and the Zeppole with chocolate.

    Valencia was our server and she was increíble! So sweet, funny, attentive, and when there was a discrepancy with our order she gave us a second dinner to take home for free even though we insisted it was unnecessary. She made the visit worth it all oh her own. :)

    The server decided to put in her own tip which equaled 131% of my bill total. Luckily, I got a notification from my bank that my charge was changed two days later where I noticed this new incorrect total. I reached out to the restaurant requesting this to be resolved. It’s been a few days now, so hopefully it gets corrected by the restaurant soon or I will otherwise have to dispute with my bank. Headache! Not worth it for the quality of food and service we received.

    Unfortunately Quartino has gone down hill since the pandemic. Service used to be exceptional, as well as the food. Both are subpar. It was a great local restaurant we loved going to for years. Sadly, this will be our last visit.

    We make it a point to eat here every time we travel to Chicago. The food is amazing - tortellini and pappardelle with braised beef are favorites - the staff is wonderful, the bread with balsamic is 🤌🏼. 10/10 would recommend!
