Yum Yum Yum! Great place to take friends and family!
Fantastic authentic Italian food!
This was my first time to Quartinos and I have fallen in love with it. Our waitress was great and very attentive and their unique dining experience made the evening much more enjoyable.
If you like to try new things, tapas or shared meals then this place is perfect! It reminded me of when I was in Europe.
Way too many tables going. Should seat fewer folks so the wait staff stays and talks to you. Too crowded in as well. Food very good, though.
Food was all excellent, from Calamari, to Bruschetta to Shrimp Diablo and especially the penne in vodka sauce. Waitresses forgot to bring 1 order, but they added some extra to try to make up for the mistake.
Love this place!
I used your online reservations and it was so easy. When we got there our table was ready and they treated us so well. We all loved our food and we will definitely come back again.
Love the concept of small plates, but the food was sort of simple, marginally bland. Had the linguine with clam sauce, it hardly tasted like seafood. The brussels sprouts were very good.
We had a late reservation and had to wait for 30 minutes to be seated. Management must have changed because the dining area used to be spacious but instead was completely packed with almost no room. Waiters and bus boys continuously bumped into me and my guests while we were seated and the noise level made conversation very difficult.
It really was not a good dining experience whatsoever. The food was good but not exceptional. There was not even a proper waiting area while waiting for our table and the bar was overloaded, it looked more like a sports bar than Italian restaurant.
Very disappointed in the evening and would not go back. I’m not one to complain about this type of thing but the seating arrangements were just horrendous and made the dining experience a disaster.
The food was fantastic! Service was excellent. Very crowded but it was Saturday night.
Food was great and our waitress was wonderful. We weren’t sat until 35 minutes after our reservation time which was very frustrating.
Our table wasn’t ready and the waiting area was insane. When we were finally seated we did not see a server/ waiter for 15 minutes. At that point we decided to leave. No one cared as the lobby was full of people waiting on their reservations. We will not be back.
A Family Reunion. A great time was had by all!
We celebrated a friends 60th birthday at Quartino's and it was perfect! Food was really good! Our server Lanny was fantastic and so accommodating! We will definitely come back as soon as we return to Chicago!
The atmosphere was so noisy and crowded that it was not enjoyable at all. Maybe going on a week night would be better. Being with my dad who is a fire inspector made us see what a death trap this restaurant is.
I took my family that was visiting here before the Holiday Light tour. We ordered a few different dishes, that all came out at different times. The pastas were great and hot, but the pizza was cold and chewy. We also ordered the kale ricotta salad and there was absolutely no toppings on the salad, including no ricotta. We were told we would get a new one and it was never brought out. Luckily the waitress took this off our bill. The place was so packed and they were trying to fit as many people in as possible, so we were constantly being bumped into while trying to eat. It was horrible. The drinks were great, but the waitress barley came to check in so by the time we got our second drink we had to rush and drink it and ended up wasting half of the drink and for the price we paid this was very frustrating. Overall horrible experience. I would not recommend.
I've been to Quartino's several times, and each time I'm reminded why I like it so much. We were there for dinner on Saturday with our two sons. While they do not have a kid's menu, our server was very quick to offer up to the boys that the kitchen can make pretty much whatever the want -- and they definitely delivered. Our server, Alycia, was fantastic -- she was courteous, fun, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Our boys thought she was so great that they already can't wait to go back and insist we ask for Alycia again :) Food was delicious - we tried several different dishes: sausage pizza, tortellini carbonara, pappardelle with short rib meat sauce, orrechiati with meat sauce, and gnocchi with a simple marinara that they customized for my gnocchi loving son :) Everything was absolutely delicious! Thanks for a wonderful night Quartino's!
Amazing find for Italian dining, the pastas , desserts are amazing and great for sharing /friends dining .
Nos sorprendimos de lo deliciosa que estaba la comida.
Al ser un lugar muy grande no esperábamos que tuviera tanta calidad. En verdad es delicioso y el ambiente es muy agradable y hogareño.
Superbe bouffe! Ambiance festive!
Amazing food. Perfect size portions. Best meatballs I’ve ever had.
Definitely going back!
Great food and service. Awesome selection. Server was very helpful in deciding how much to order
Great dinner with Friends! This place is always good - both food and service! Must go!!!!
Food was delicious, service was great. We had 2 small children that they accommodated really well plus it’s noisy enough if they are loud or fussing it doesn’t bother the neighbors!
We had a great time at Quartino and have the other times we have been. It’s a very fun place - great food and great people watching. Very fun to try new combinations of small plates - we had the stuffed dates, beets, and the meatballs to start. I love that things come when prepared so nothing is waiting and cooling off. We then had the vegetarian pizza, penne a la vodka which I love. Always fun to have plates to share.
Crappy food, service ok. Very expensive. The food was expired and tasted bad. The plates were small.
Great food and service.
First visit but knew that this is a Steve Lombardo created restaurant and everything he touches is exemplary. Great menu with many options. Everything was well prepared, and delivered to the table hot and fast. Liked the option of ordering wine by the 1/4, 1/2, or full liter allowing us to try several wines at reasonable cost. Service staff is well trained. Will definitely return.
In Chicago for a long weekend and booked Quartino for dinner on Open Table at the last minute. We were very impressed with everything we ordered: Burrata, Salami salad, Sausage Risotto and a pepperoni pizza. The Burrata was perfectly creamy, pizza crust amazing, as the Salumi salad was so flavorful. I told my husband that Quartino is the type of restaurant I would visit again on the same trip, even with all the wonderful dining options in Chicago!
I had a great group dinner with over 15 people for my birthday. The food was delicious and this is a great place for groups or eating late.
7 family members met to take my niece to dinner from out-of-town. And to celebrate my grandson's birthday. We chose the spot for it's proximity to my niece's hotel. It was a good choice for a group our size both for space and service. Also We had one vegetarian and one vegan. We shared many small plates. Polenta sticks risotto Shrimp Diablo and several veggie plates. The birthday boy was served a scoop of ice cream atop molten chocolate cake. Yummie.
Had a great experience for my sons 25th birthday. Will go back for a date night with my wife.
Small plates let us try a range of great and tasty dishes. There we a few misses, that were immediately corrected, but we where there to take our time to enjoy a leisurely meal with good wine.
Took my office there for a Holiday family style dinner and couldn't have been more impressed (9 people total). The food was great. Nice, shareable dishes. Service was fantastic and an overall great experience.
Will definitely go back, great menu , food was wonderful and our waiter was VERY helpful
The food was just OK Gnocchi were bland. Tiramisu was ok, but the cake with nutella was dry.
Great service from the moment I walked in I was greeted nicely ! My friend came straight from the airport and was even able to hold her luggage with the coat check which I truly appreciated . The server was knowledgeable of the menu , food came out quick and I love that all the plates were shareable like Italian tapas . Great place with a group of friends and very affordable for downtown Chicago ! Will be back 😀
On a recent girls' trip to Chicago, we had gotten many recommendations for Quartino's. We ate there for a late lunch on our first day and it was perfect. There were 4 of us and we shared plates. It's kind of a tapas Italian place. Good for sharing and trying multiple dishes. Liked it so much, we went back for dinner another night. Classic Italian, really nice servers and great value.
