Quarter Acre, a welcoming neighbourhood restaurant combined with an upscale dining experience, is inspired by Chef Toby Archibald’s world travels and New Zealand roots. When you enter Quarter Acre, you will be transported to a place of warmth and character. A journey from the earthy green musk of the New Zealand rainforest to the cool blue of the Pacific Ocean.

The Culinary Experience:
Enjoy food prepared using both classic and modern techniques with a strong influence placed on local and national, seasonal produce. At the same time, global ingredients will also have their place at the table, in particular items from Toby’s home country of New Zealand, such as fresh seafood and unique meats and flavours.

When dining with us, Quarter Acre accepts cash, debit, and credit card. A 3.4% convenience fee will be added to all payments made by credit card.

    Chef Toby Archibald is thrilled to introduce the second season of Quarter Acre’s Drifter Dinner Series. Over four months, four chefs from four distinct regions will showcase their diverse culinary backgrounds by teaming up with Quarter Acre Restaurant. At each dinner event, one chef will collaborate with Chef Toby to blend their culinary techniques and styles, offering a distinctive 8-course tasting menu complemented by cocktails and wines that highlight their respective region. Additionally, Chef Toby is spreading some love by sharing a slice of the profits from the Drifter Dinner Series with a cause dear to his heart: Baylor Scott & White Dallas Foundation - Tiniest Texans. This foundation lends a helping hand to families and tiny newborns in the NICU unit at Baylor University Medical Center. Chef Misti Norris: Friday, August 8 Chef Rodrigo Rivera-Rio: Firday, September 5 Chef Kevin Fink: Friday, October 3 Chef Byron Gomez: Friday, November 7 All dinners offer seating times at 5:30, 6:30, 7:30, & 8:30.     North Carolina native, raised in Houston Texas. Growing up in a Cajun household she found her love of cooking with her maw maw and started learning the importance of preservation and no waste. Spending years working in the best Dallas restaurants she found her own style and took charge of her first kitchen as an executive chef at Small Brewpub where in 2016 she was named a James Beard Award Rising Star Semifinalist. Most recently, she was the Executive Chef and Owner of Petra and the Beast; a small, thoughtful restaurant focused on the use of farms, foraging, fermentation and fire. Since the restaurant’s beginning in April of 2018 it has gained much recognition including being named one of Esquire’s Best Restaurants in America 2018, D Magazine’s Best New Restaurants in Dallas 2018, and the Dallas Observer’s Best Charcuterie Program 2018, included in the 2019 Best New Chef class in Food and Wine as well as being a semifinalist for James Beard in the category of Best New Restaurants, and multu time James beard semifinalist for best chef Texas. Closed Petra and Beast in 2024 to pursue new endeavors and concepts. Now leading the culinary team at Far Out Restaurant, Misti brings her talents back to her roots on Haskell Street.

    In 2015, Chef Rodrigo Rivera-Rio and his brothers decided to open Koli Cocina de Origen, a restaurant focused on celebrating the culinary traditions of northeastern Mexico. This resulted in a tasting menu concept where each dish tells a story. Over the past 10 years, he and his brothers have been included in the list of the 50 best restaurants in Latin America. They have also earned multiple national and international awards, including a Michelin star in 2024, making them one of only 16 restaurants nationwide to receive them. That same year, Chef Rodrigo received the prestigious Knife at the Best Chef Awards in Dubai and was nominated for Best Consolidated Chef in Mexico at the Food & Travel Readers' Choice Awards. Today, he has several other restaurants, including Cometa, Lumbre, and Centli.

    One of the best meals I’ve had. I had the scallops and my husband had the beef cheek and both were amazing. The beef tartare and ceviche were also out of this world!!

    My husband and I dined at Quarter Acre last night, this was our second time there. The first time was shortly after they opened and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and more importantly the food. Last night surpassed that experience and we can’t stop talking about it. We started with the smoked tomato mezza. It was delicious and the radish chips that they served with it were beautiful and a great combination with the smoked tomato and pistachio. I had the duck breast with sweet potatoes and my husband had the grilled Wagyu beef cheeks, we shared a salad and the side of peas. Every dish was delicious and extremely creative in its compilation and presentation. The service was top notch. All and all, a wonderful experience.

    We took friends who had never been to Quarter Acre and they were thrilled with everything, from the decor - including the native New Zealand birds on the bathroom wallpaper - through the delectable menu items, great service and the cute “lolly bag” to finish up. Great fun!

    Absolutely loved the Chef’s Tasting! His creativity and attention to detail made it amazing. Will definitely be back. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable of what was being served along with making sure you were happy. It was a fantastic night!
