   Had a great time here for a mid-week dinner. My partner's a massive italian (pasta) fan and i remember coming to this place before Quando Quando and having a great time. Now with the team at Quando Quando lifting up the ambience another notch, it really made me feel like i was in the middle of Roma in a little trattoria. With new italian places, i try their classics to see if they really can do them well, then everything else will be ok. In this case they had their version of Carbonara (Rigatoni), and i gotta say that it was one of the smoothest i've had in Melbourne. The guanciale was cooked just right, crunchy outside still a little soft inside. Each rigatoni was coated well with the egg sauce and the saltiness from the guanciale was enough to add to the dish. Overall the ambience was fantastic and i could easily comeback for a mid-week lunch with a watered down vino (italian style).

   A nice gem tucked away in Little Collins Street where the staff were exceptional with their service and friendliness. The food was delicious however the pricing did hurt the pocket for 2 people.

   I can’t give it a rating because after booking online, accepting texts and emails to confirm booking, showed up after paying for transport to get there - it was closed, surely you can have a better booking system than this happening? We had booked weeks ago as we were visiting from Perth. Very disappointing.

    We arrived right on time and although we were booked to sit at the bar they gave us a table next to the window which was wonderful. It was packed in the restaurant and the only downside was that we felt very rushed to order, but I can’t blame them as they were being very kind fitting us in! I had the carpaccio which was wonderful and my husband had the sardine which were also good, but perhaps a little dry. The carpaccio was amazing though so it made up for it! For mains my husband had a seafood linguine which had him practically licking the plate and I had the lamb rage with Parmesan, so good! The wine was delicious and we had eaten our meal and were paying the bill within an hour of arriving, can’t beat that! I do wish we could have had more time with the menu because I would have liked to order some of the side that looked great too. Never mind, we will definitely be coming back!
