The varied menu focuses on modern interpretations of classic dishes such as Traditional Steak Tartare, Caesar Salad and Roasted Bone Marrow, in addition to several cuts of beef from legendary New York butchers Milton Abeles and Strassburger Meats.
The restaurant's side dishes alone merit a trip with innovative house specialties, including Corn Crème Brulee, Gnocchi and Cheese and Edamame with Mint Salt. The Quality Meats chefs are Craig Koketsu (Lespinasse, Stars) as executive chef and Cory Colton (Lespinasse, St.Regis) on pastry. The restaurant has a warm industrial atmosphere, created by award-winning AvroKO and features intimate dining areas, a comfortable bar area with well-stocked charcuterie bar.

What Insiders Are Saying
Even though it's in Midtown, this multi-level meat market serves up one of our favorite steaks in town, and it's not what you might expect from a steakhouse in the area.
Service was outstanding. We didn’t get the table we initially were promised but loved the table we ended up with.
This restaurant was amazing. The service was impeccable. Thank you!
Terrific food: porterhouse was delicious, asparagus was perfect and mushrooms were the best I’ve ever had. They screwed up the drink order- oh well, mistakes happen.
Great experience and ambiance. Staff was extremely courteous and the food was top notch.
My only issue was that the staff were cleaning glasses behind our table.
Marissa- It's so nice of you to notice that the only issue you had was that we keep the stemware polished!
Meat was great and service excellent! Miguel did a good job.
The food was delicious, but it's hard to order since the lights are so low you cannot read the menu. Also, for the price the service has to get better. While our server was very friendly, he poured red wine into the water (probably because he couldn't see), a full glass before he realized and did not offer to bring an extra glass of wine. I unfortunately won't be back.
Service was good and staff was attentive. I wasn’t impressed with the food given the price points.
Very good all around
Thank you for a nice meal
Best steak of my life, but you are sitting so close to the tables beside you (2-seaters) that you can’t help but feel as though you are having dinner with them. Not a word is missed, whether you like it or not. Great steak, though!
Best steak of your life!? That's amazing to hear! Glad you enjoyed the social surroundings as well!
Quality Meats is beautiful and the food is top-notch. I love the Pauillac that is bottled especially for the restaurant, as well!
Only the best for our guest! Glad to hear you had a great time with us!
Food was served while guests were in restroom, onion rings were soggy, scallops had no crispy potatoes and too many stairs .
Thank you for your feedback, Stanley. I am so sorry that this occurred during your visit, this is definitely not within our standards of service. If you would be willing to email me at joliver@qualitybranded, it would be great to connect further and learn more about your experience and how we can make it better. As usual for quality meats outstanding food and spectacular personalised service. A must for any visit to New York
Thank you for the great feedback, Greg! See you next time you're in NYC.
posizione del tavolo pessima in una zona di continuo passaggio
Servizio nn buono
Lunghissima attesa prima di ricevere i piatti
I love quality meats best steak house in New York city
Food was superb, as always!
Extremely poor service, no apologies for the fact we had to wait over 30 mins for our table. Additionally we waited nearly 45 mins for our food to arrive. Finally , having asked for the bill, we had to wait nearly 15 mins to find a member of staff to take our payment. Good good food spoilt by a disorganized and poorly managed team.
Richard- Thank you for bringing this to our attention. On behalf of our team, we apologize for dropping the ball in this manner. I would like to get in contact with you to learn more about your experience as well as how we can make it better. If you would, please reach out to me directly at joliver@qualitybranded. Arriving 16 minutes late (and having called ahead to let them know), we waited 50 minutes to be seated. The tomatoes in the tomato salad were said to be "indoor grown" but were as bland as a supermarket tomato. We ordered the aged porterhouse for two, having been assured that we could have half of it rare, the other half medium rare. But it arrived after a very long wait, all rare. Once my half was cooked a bit more, it was outstanding. But the broccoli with cheese bites was almost entirely cheese bites and not good. The waiter comps the broccoli and a glass of wine, but I doubt I'll go back. Also, an insanely loud room.
Wanted to love QM, but overall were disappointed. We were sat immediately and the wait staff was friendly. The tables are small and positioned very close together. We tried to order the ribeye steak for 2 and were told it would take over an hour to prepare, so we ordered the porterhouse instead (medium) as we were headed to a show after. The porterhouse came warm/cool, lacked flavor and was tough to cut through, so disappointed. The Corn Creme Brûlée was tasty, however the Quality Potatoes were mediocre. We realize this wasn’t a $$$$ type of restaurant, but still expected something a little better. Won’t be returning.
This is disappointing to hear! We apologize that we did not live up to your expectations; however we'd like to hear more about your experience & how we can improve. If you would like to provide more detail, please email joliver@qualitybranded. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Joel K. Oliver Guest Relations Manager Quality Meats NYC
The steak is perfection!! Since we had reservations, we we’re seated right away. The food took awhile to get there but it was 6 of us. The waiter made a couple of suggestions that were delicious. But the filet stole the show, as it should.
EXCELENTE COMIDA, MUY BUEN SERVICIO Y UN AMBIENTE BONITO
La migliore carne di NewYork..... tempi di attesa accettabili, porzioni abbondanti e prezzi allineati alla media
Aria condizionata troppo alta
Hands down, my favorite restaurant in NYC. My friends and I have a monthly dinner where we get together and it was my turn to pick so i brought them here. They could not have been more satisfied, and so was I.
That's awesome to hear Louis! Glad you & your friends had a fun time!
Always one of our favorites!! The service is always great and the food is the best.
Absolutely Perfect restaurant for a quality steakhouse that does everything right
Brock...definitely appreciate the kind word! We'll see you soon! Joel K. Oliver Guest Relations Manager Quality Meats NYC
Aside from the minuscule amount of lobster with my surf n turf, our steak and filet mignon were fantastic. Must try the corn creme brûlée which they gave us gratis because of my surprise at the thimbleful of lobster and sticky toffee pudding. Yes dinner is a bit pricey but well worth the attentive service! Ask for a quiet table because it can be rather loud!
My favorite restaurant in the city. A must do. Not a "typical" steakhouse. Food spectacular.
This place has gone downhill a bit. The steaks were over cooked"
Quality Meats is always our best meal in NYC. Great atmosphere, outstanding service. It’s expensive, but compared to the sub-par meal at Balthazar for the same price, it becomes a “great value.” They we’re also accommodating to our 5 year old AND 71 year old guests by offering a smaller steak. The Quality Potato and Corn Creme Brûlée are favorites for sure.
That's AMAZING to hear! ...we'll see you again soon! Joel K. Oliver Guest Relations Manager Quality Meats NYC
we love the little table for two at the top of the stairs.
It is our perfect spot.
Not kid friendly but overall great food and atmosphere!
Loved every bit!!
It was quite great experience to visit Quality Meats. A nice ambiance, modern and relaxed, contributed to the experience. The really great thing was the porterhouse. I have to admit that it was the best cut I ever tried. Very recommended if you want to experience a great, cooked to perfection steak.
Thank you so much for the kind words, Raul! It's always nice to hear when our guests have an enjoyable evening with us. We hope to see you soon! Joel K. Oliver Guest Relations Manager Quality Meats NYC
One of my favorite places to get a steak in NYC. While not a place with a legendary reputation, it is owned by Smith and Wolensky so you know you are going to get quality. The steaks are excellent, some of the sides are hit or miss, but if you get the right sides, you will not be disappointed.
A really amazing high quality meal. Such a delicious steak.
The best experience eating out, the steak was the perfect temp and the service
Was second to none.
Quality Meats is an exceptional restaurant for both dining and atmosphere. Benjamin treated my wife like we were the only diners in the restaurant. I would definitely recommend Quality Meats for any special occasion!
That's awesome to hear! We'll pass on the compliments to Benjamin & the rest of our team!
Been here a couple times... Food was great as usual... Service not as good as before...
