The varied menu focuses on modern interpretations of classic dishes such as Traditional Steak Tartare, Caesar Salad and Roasted Bone Marrow, in addition to several cuts of beef from legendary New York butchers Milton Abeles and Strassburger Meats.
The restaurant's side dishes alone merit a trip with innovative house specialties, including Corn Crème Brulee, Gnocchi and Cheese and Edamame with Mint Salt. The Quality Meats chefs are Craig Koketsu (Lespinasse, Stars) as executive chef and Cory Colton (Lespinasse, St.Regis) on pastry. The restaurant has a warm industrial atmosphere, created by award-winning AvroKO and features intimate dining areas, a comfortable bar area with well-stocked charcuterie bar.

Absolutely one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in New York City. The food was amazing, every course, and the service from the hostess, to the bar and servers was first class. Thank you especially to Michael, David and Natasha, and the hostess (didn’t get her name) for the quiet and special table for two. Can’t wait to come back to NYC at the end of January and return to Quality Meats. A must dining experience in NYC! Great wine list and drink menu too. Loved the oyster selection, bacon peanut butter spice appetizer is a must, the filet flavor was outstanding and the salmon was perfect. We were too full for dessert so we didn’t get to try that. Everything we had was perfect and unique. Thank you!! ❤️
WOW Debra! Thank you so much for the kind words! We'll definitely pass this on to our team!
The porterhouse steak was insanely good I highly recommend! Great steakhouse.
Thank you! We hope to see you again soon!
Fabulous meal and excellent service. Dress can be casual and jeans appear to be ok. We really enjoyed our evening here.
That's awesome to hear! Hope to see you again soon!
Date night with husband before a show. Too loud to hear my husband talking. My Bay Scallops were a bit fishy tasting and husband steak was tough
Excellent quality and good service. Went there with an office team for lunch. Only thing I did not like was the waiter was constantly trying upsell us. Other than that, everyone enjoyed their meal.
I had very good time there, there were all kind and warm. And all were so good.
Side orders cold, Potatoes , creamed spinach
Service very good , steak met standards
Overall return but disappointed with cocktails —-no blue cheese olives for martini and no lux cherries for old fashions
Nice cozy chic restaurant. Food and service are excellent. The only downside was the noise level, could not have a normal conversation. Besides this perfect place to go!
Marc, That’s fantastic! We are grateful for your kind words and we can’t wait to share this with the rest of our team. Looking forward to your next visit...and feel free to request a quieter area upon your next visit!
Birthday dinner was good but nothing special
New York halt.
Service was amazing! Richard and Mike took great care of us. They were very attentive and quick to responded to every request. They even offered to keep my son’s steak warm in the oven while he had to step out for a phone call. They pretty much anticipated our every need. Will definitely return next time I’m in NYC.
That’s fantastic! We are grateful for your kind words and we can’t wait to share this with the Richard & Mike. Looking forward to your next visit!
Steak was the poorest I’ve ever had here
The food was great but they were running really behind on reservations and we had to wait. Wouldn’t have been as bad but wife is pregnant and there was limited seating in waiting area, so we had to stand the whole time. We were crammed at a table really close to other couples. We actually had to move the table in and out just to get up and down. Absolutely cannot complain about the food, it was delicious!
Quality Meats went above and beyond to take care of us. Highly recommend
Quality Meats is an aesthetically beautiful restaurant with table cloths, napkins, and wine glasses embroidered with QM- all nice touches. It's beautifully decorated, but so incredibly loud that I had a hard time hearing the person speaking across from me. As far as the food, the Caesar salad was a huge disappointment. I would have expected more that boxed croutons and oily dressing. The butternut squash soup was good. My steak was undercooked, which I didn't expect out of a high quality steakhouse, but what was more surprising was when the waiter placed a large bowl of steak sauce on the table in front of me. What!! I've never been in a high priced restaurant in my life that wanted me to drown the meat in sauce. I think I laughed out loud. The Yorkshire cream spinach was all bread and not much spinach, and we ordered potatoes and crispy potatoes came out, which were good. I thought I was going to get the Quality potato, which the table next to me had...I was disappointed. Overall, they don't begin to compare to Ruth's Chris.
We appreciate your feedback, Megan! We apologize that this occurred during your visit; this is definitely not within our standards of service and not how our food is supposed to taste. Rest assured that I have passed on your comments to our culinary team. If you would be willing to email me at joliver@qualitybranded, it would be great to connect further and learn more about your time with us and how we can make it better. Thank you for you time & hope to hear from you soon!
Right from the jump the service was great. We had a wobbly table that the server noticed himself. Fixed it immediately. Also was quick to notice I hadn't gotten my first round of drinks. Food was incredible. Steaks cooked perfect. My girl went with the Hangar steak and I went with the Tomahawk that had been highly recommended. Both cooked perfect, full of flavor. The sweet corn creme brulee side left my taste buds full of so many mixed emotions that all I could I could do was laugh at how good it was. Now I feel like I have to try "Quality Italian" next.
The ambiance was very lively and upbeat and the restaurant decor very nice. However, my $54 filet (supposedly "medium rare") was more like "medium" and the steak was over-salted. Although it's clearly a matter of taste, we didn't care for the sides (mushrooms tasted very strange and the asparagus had some weird taste as well although not as bad). The wine was good (loved the wineglasses!) and the cappuccino was very well prepared. I've been to other pricey steakhouses in NYC and thought this one was overpriced for what you get. But it was a nice evening.
Mamalon,, la carne muy buena y la cerveza de la casa aguanta bastante
Our table was ready for our arrival, the server was knowledgeable, helpful, easy to work with and enjoyable.
The food arrived in great timing. It was outstanding. Each dish main, side and dessert was delicious. The table all agreed - tell everyone we know how amazing Quality Meats is.
That’s fantastic! We are grateful for your kind words and we can’t wait to share this with the rest of our team. Looking forward to your next visit.
Great steak, incredible appetizers
Amazing food and great atmosphere! Our waiter Jeff was super suggesting certain dishes. We will return!
Fantastic food. Service good but not great. Prompt seating with reservation. I will be back!
Very cold and very drafty.
Wonderful staff, attentive, always around. Knew the menu inside out. Food was great. Well worth price of admission. New seasonal specials on wine and food both exceptional.
Greta everything. Not sure why inhabit been there sooner.
We came here to celebrate my father's birthday, and he couldn't be happier with the food, wine, service, and the place in general. Benjamin took care of us and his attention was remarkable.
Wow, thank you so much, Cecilia! We really appreciate your detailed feedback. Looking forward to having you back soon!
Very good menu with a nice variety of fine meats to choose from. For appetizer, try the thick bacon with jalapeño and peanut butter… excellent. All food was prepared well. My only complaint: it's an unwritten rule of good restaurants not to bring the main course until the appetizer has been finished and dishes cleared, and this did not happen. Steak came when I was still enjoying my appetizer, a "no-no" for a restaurant of this caliber. But... it's not a perfect world. I will be back- food and drinks were excellent.
Everything was absolutely delicious, from the wine to salad to steak and desert. Great ambiance and service. One of our favorites
The steak was awesome. We had the porterhouse steak for two. It was so succulent and juicy just aged to perfection
Thank you! We hope to see you again soon!
Great experience. Waiter attentive and made great suggestions for food choices. Steak was exceptional. Pretty place with relaxing lighting. Music could have been more thoughtful.
That’s fantastic, Walter! We are grateful for your kind words and we can’t wait to share this with the rest of our team.
Fourth visit. Steak wasn't cooked right. Was taken back, but still rare in the middle the second time. Asked for medium. They took it back, and gave me a new one, cooked perfectly. Did not charge me for it. That wasn't necessary, but I was grateful.
Still my favorite steakhouse in NYC.
My family’s last night in NYC, and I had read about this steakhouse while building up high expectations. We shared a tomahawk and a porterhouse for two with a few sides. Meat was very good and cooked perfectly. Sides were quite yummy, esp the broc/cheese bites and creamy spinach. Wood love to go back.
That’s fantastic, Ted! We are grateful for your kind words and we can’t wait to share this with the rest of our team. Looking forward to your next visit.
Quality was so delicious. My husband and I celebrated our 16th Wedding Anniversary at Quality Meats. We were treated so well. We had a wonderful night. Thank you Quality Meats for a wonderful evening.
Thank you so much, Tara! We appreciate you choosing us to for this for your special occasion. Glad to hear you & your husband had a great night!
Nice, too crowded
Much improved over last time. Great service and the Ribsteak is amazing. Tried the Corn Creme Brulee for the first time and that will now be a regular selection.
Sometimes even on a big, bustling holiday where half of New York does anything but stay in, cook, and eat turkey (and that even includes the tourists who come to town during Thanksgiving), you want nothing more than someone to do the preparing, the cooking and the cleaning-up....leaving you to just enjoy an incredible steak, even better sides, terrific appetizers and outstanding desserts. Quality Meats right off Sixth Avenue and 58th Street, a hop, skip and jump from Quality Italian provided us a very memorable Thanksgiving with extraordinary steaks along with the famous Quality Potato, corn creme brulee (died and went to heaven eating this dish!), and gnocchi and cheese that quite literally melts in your mouth. And there is no way to even describe how delicious and decadent Sticky Toffee Pudding was and always is. A great night and a great steakhouse on a great holiday with wait staff like JC making it a night to remember for many Thanksgivings to come! Bravo to everyone at QM for a job exceedingly well done.
Thank you so much! We loved hearing what a great experience you had with us. Come visit us anytime!
Not a fan. Service was subpar. Food was meh. Will not repeat.
Love coming to quality meats, it almost never disappoints. But this time it did :( my husband and I came to celebrate thanksgiving here and were seated right outside the kitchen door, which was really busy. Also, our waiter didn’t really give us anytime to ask questions. We waited maybe 20 min for someone to come to the table. Our server seemed to have two 6 top tables he was more helpful with. When he came to finally take our food order after 20 minutes. As we tried to ask him questions he didn’t really care to hear what we had to say and abruptly cut us off, we were trying to get mashed potatoes instead of sweet potatoes. As my husband was asking for the Option to switch he cut him off and said “all the sides come with the meal So you don’t really need to add anything” as he proceeds to collect the menus. Before he walked if we asked if we could order 2 quality mules, he nodded and walked off. A couple of moments later our turkey and steak meals arrived (2 thin slices of turkey, a couple of over cooked carrots and runny sweet potatoes for $42? Steak was delicious though) never to see him again. Never asked if we wanted another drink or if everything was ok. Finally after we finished the meal we sat with stacked empty plates in front of us for 20 minutes before a different server came over to refill our waters , remove the plates and dropped our check off. We felt rushed and ignore. He was more worried about his bigger tables that he neglected is. I usually love this place but this was a terrible place to celebrate a holiday with my loved one.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Kris. This definitely doesn’t sound like a good evening. On behalf of our team, I apologize for dropping the ball in this manner. This is not within our standards of service nor a good reflection of our brand. I would like to get in contact with you to learn more about your experience as well as how we can make it better. If you would, please reach out to me directly at joliver@qualitybranded. I look forward to hearing from you.
We came to Quality Meats today for Thanksgiving. We were seated at a nice table upstairs in a corner which we discovered was freezing. We asked to have the A/C redirected or warmed up but it was never adjusted. Imagine paying these prices and freezing through the entire meal. The food was subpar at best. My son who has dairy allergies had a very limited choice as almost everything contained butter. The sides the said they were grilled or roasted come dripping in oil. Roasted mushrooms came dripping in oil and some type of sauce and our waiter never said a word. Roasted potatoes came smothered in bacon but we were again never told. We sent the sirloin steak back twice as it was not the quality you would expect. The ridge wine came at almost room temperature. Overall very very disappointing except for the deserts which were excellent. We will not be back as there are many other high quality steak houses in the city which won’t disappoint us.
