The varied menu focuses on modern interpretations of classic dishes such as Traditional Steak Tartare, Caesar Salad and Roasted Bone Marrow, in addition to several cuts of beef from legendary New York butchers Milton Abeles and Strassburger Meats.
The restaurant's side dishes alone merit a trip with innovative house specialties, including Corn Crème Brulee, Gnocchi and Cheese and Edamame with Mint Salt. The Quality Meats chefs are Craig Koketsu (Lespinasse, Stars) as executive chef and Cory Colton (Lespinasse, St.Regis) on pastry. The restaurant has a warm industrial atmosphere, created by award-winning AvroKO and features intimate dining areas, a comfortable bar area with well-stocked charcuterie bar.

What Insiders Are Saying
Even though it's in Midtown, this multi-level meat market serves up one of our favorite steaks in town, and it's not what you might expect from a steakhouse in the area.
Great. Everyone enjoyed the meal. My veal chop was underdone. Everyone’s steak was perfect. Chef and wait staff did well to rectify
Sides are amazing. We’ll be back
Great food and service. Both the peanut butter bacon and seafood bouqet were incredible!
Not gonna lie, Delicious food. But way Overpriced. A $16 Caesar salad that wa small and WAY overdressed. I could’ve made that better out of a bag. The bacon app was very good. Ribeye was delicious. Broccoli bites were awful bar food. Just dried nuggets of broccoli and cheese. Not good. The gnocchi was very good. But. HORRIBLE service. Rolled her eyes and acted inconvenienced bc we weren’t ready to order. But then wouldn’t give us any suggestions or tips when I asked her. For the special, all she said was “we have a branzino for a special.” I asked Her how it was cooked, she didn’t know. I asked Her what came with it, she said “it’s a la cart.” Didn’t explain ONE item that she put down on the table. Then literally tossed the check on the table when it was over. Didn’t say thanks. Have a goodnight. Thanks for coming. Nothing. A $350 check for 2 people and you can’t say thanks? Screw you. We’ll NEVER be back.
Our first course was excellent, but when our second course came it was clear that it had been sitting under a heat lamp for at least 10 minutes. The meat was pretty tough for a filet mignon and the sauce on my boyfriends dish had congealed a bit. All in all we were quite disappointed.
I brought my French friend here, thought the food was amazing. Great place to bring friends or family that are visiting.
Overall, wonderful experience. The food, ambiance, service...all exceptional. The wait was a little long (even with a reservation), but the place is obviously popular and therefore, very busy. I will definitely return the next time we are in NYC!
Food was subpar. Service was great
Excellent dining experience. Great food and service. We love going there.
The meat was good, but that was pretty much it. The double rib steak was what called our attention to this restaurant. Only when we tried ordering it were we told that they did not have any left. This was strange as it was Presidents Day weekend. One would not expect them to be understocked. The air conditioner was on and blowing straight at us. A few of the guests had to wear their winter jackets while dining. We asked for it to be turned down multiple times but it did not feel like anything was done. The drinks were watered down. A glass of wine was very small. About 2/3 of what a normal glass of wine would be. The sides were ok. They were oversalted and also small. Steakhouses aren't meant to have small portions, nor should they be understocked in their most famous cuts. Disappointed.
Steak was room temperature and lacking flavor. Staff was amazing
Always good quality
70th Birthday celebration
Excellent food. Bacon appetizer with peanut butter and jalapeño was great. The steaks were some of the best we’ve had. Everyone loved the creamed corn brûlée. Very large wine list. We will definitely be back but not before a show or opera because we’ll want to take more time to savor the experience.
Everything was great. The food, the service, everything.
Absolutely increible food.
From out of town. Went on recommendation.
Came here for a get together with a few friends, the whiskey selection was pretty good and the dry aged porterhouse was perfect. Definitely recommend and will definitely come here again.
Great food and staff
We do an annual dinner at Quality Meats around this time. Coincidentally, we've had Ernie as our waiter that last two years and we hope we get him every year. He was terrific...again!
One of the best pieces of meat I ever had. The quality of the meat was only outshined by the professionalisms of the staff.
Thanks to Management all was well and food is still great.
Great service, good ambience, and good variety of sides, but better steaks can be found in manhattan in my opinion.
Such a good lunch everyone loved their food. My steak was wonderful. Look forward to coming back.
The waiter had wonderful menu selections
Delicious dinner! Attentive service! Great dining experience.. best steaks ever!
I felt a little rushed- I had a 845 apt and was seated a little later then the reserved time - requiring us to wait at the bar
we were the last ones remaining and the check was delivered with the desserts before 11 pm .
All of the staff appeared to be in clean up mode while we we seated very top upstairs front .
We left at 11 pm
If I owned the restaurant I would have offered to move us to the bar area , and transferred our desserts and remaining bottle of wine - and asked if that was ok that we leave by midnight .
My feeling is that it is always ok to have people wait at bar for table - but just reciprocate that pleasure at the end of night with hold over
It was my 30th birthday celebration with my family. The service was sooooo slow. We all ordered steaks and all of them were bad including mine which was still purple! It was actually raw even though I asked for it medium. I sent it back but it took 20 minutes to return. I was really disappointed and told multiple people about this and they will not go to your restaurant.
Great restaurant, great food and great service! thank you
The service and quality of our steak at lunch was phenomenal. The steak was pricey but well worth it for the occasion. Highly recommend for important lunch meeting or dinner OR special occasion.
Noise level was a bit high for a business dinner. Food was good but steak was probably the toughest filet I have ever had.
steaks we great. Jalapeno-peanut butter bacon is a must-have appetizer. sides were hit or miss. The wine list is overpriced. No bargains on this menu, either. Service was excellent.
Delicious food and awesome service. Will definitely return.
Met friend from out of town for dinner. They commented on the ambience and the service. Steaks were excellent.
The food was delicious, however, the steaks came out room temp. That was a little disappointing. Aside from that everything else was great.
Unevenly cooked meat. Not a good table. Essentially in an aisle Cold. Wore my coat the entire meal to keep warm. Seldom saw waiter.
We came here years ago for our wedding anniversary and decided to go for our anniversary this year. The service, decor, and food were just as great as we remembered, especially the sides and aged rib steak. I’m not sure if I’m remembering correctly, but I believe there used to be a dress code and this time there wasn’t (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing). It seemed a lot louder, with more tables squeezed closer together, a/c blowing directly on you (tables near us left coats or scarves on), and there were several families with children running around and into people. I love kids, and I know on a busy Saturday it’s not the restaurant’s fault if kids don’t behave, but for the overall experience you expect when paying NYC steakhouse prices wasn’t there this time.
Super good. Worth the money. Quality service for sure.
fantastic experience. Great services and great food
among the many steakhouses in NYC, Quality Meats does not stand out in either selection, quality of product or ambience. the menu selection is skewed to one who wants to eat 1/2 a cow, the quality of the beef is average, as is the flavor and the ambience is loud, crowded and off-putting.
I had the bone-in Sirloin and the "Quality Potato" and shared the creamed spinach with my wife. While i requested medium rare, the steak was medium. The Potato was apparently one half of a twice baked potato slathered in plasticized cheese and harpooned with potato chips. Odd and not very inviting.
My wife had mushroom soup. she said it was ok. i tried it and it would not win any contests at the county fair.
all in all a fairly mediocre production.
Excellent restaurant with top service and dining options. Have been here for business dinners as well as romantic dates and it never disappoints. The waiting staff is phenomenal and the menu has so many options there is always something for even the pickiest eaters. Highly recommend all of the appetizers (especially steak tartar, bacon, crab/avocado and bone marrow). The prices are just right and the desserts are also amazing. Can't wait to go back!
