The varied menu focuses on modern interpretations of classic dishes such as Traditional Steak Tartare, Caesar Salad and Roasted Bone Marrow, in addition to several cuts of beef from legendary New York butchers Milton Abeles and Strassburger Meats.
The restaurant's side dishes alone merit a trip with innovative house specialties, including Corn Crème Brulee, Gnocchi and Cheese and Edamame with Mint Salt. The Quality Meats chefs are Craig Koketsu (Lespinasse, Stars) as executive chef and Cory Colton (Lespinasse, St.Regis) on pastry. The restaurant has a warm industrial atmosphere, created by award-winning AvroKO and features intimate dining areas, a comfortable bar area with well-stocked charcuterie bar.

What Insiders Are Saying
Even though it's in Midtown, this multi-level meat market serves up one of our favorite steaks in town, and it's not what you might expect from a steakhouse in the area.
Had a 8 o’clock dinner reservation got served at 1030... unacceptable... food was ok
Steak overcooked as always.
Loved our dinner here! Delicious from beginning to end!
Very loud and tables were a little close, steak was very good though.
We had the most amazing waiter. He gave great menu selections and did not rush us at all. After we closed out we decided to order another bottle of their least expensive wine and he ended up being us a slight more expensive red that was SO good. He really helped make my birthday dinner a great one!
Se habla esoañol! Keep the beef up!
We were here for a business meeting. The steaks were larger than listed on the menu and made to perfection. The lobster for the surf and turf was unavailable, so the lobster scampi was on the house. Service was great and the wine list was appropriate for a high end steak dinner.
The food was wonderful. The staff was very attentive and friendly as well. Would highly recommend for all friends to try.
Far too noisy.
We have been late because of parking but I called them to wait for another 15minutes. They approved. We arrived and checked-in. Very well seated. Food was great. Service either. No unexpected situation. The only thing is, you just pay much more for such a restaurant like this.
Amazing service and delicious, well-prepared food. The table-side steak sauce was
a pleasant surprise. The ice-cream was silky and a great treat. Ricky was a delightful guide throughout
my culinary journey.
Absolutely outstanding meal. We stopped for lunch and were so happy we did. The Tomahawk Steak was amazing. The Creme Brulee corn was heavenly. We were so pleasantly surprised by the house red wine. Really a nice Cab. Definitely a place we would go back to.
Very noisy and over crowded
Tables too close together, Had a hard time getting out while other guests were eating on either side of us.
Great place and food😊
We will be back. Really awesome place
ahhhhhhhmazing.... great food and great service! perfect place to take clients or for a special occasion or a nice date
We love Quality Meats. The food is absolutely amazing and the service is impeccable. Sadly on our last visit there was cold air blowing on us and nearby table. We were seated by kitchen and wondered if back door was open. The chill took some of the joy out of otherwise a top notch experience. We still think it the best of the best.
I had dined here many years ago and was looking forward to my return visit.
On arrival you could see it had undergone a major refurbishment and looked good, that excited me and I had very high hopes for the night.
Unfortunately that’s where it ended, a cold acknowledgement from the three personnel of the desk and I was asked if I’d like a table or seat at the bar, to help them out I went for a seat at the bar. Menu was given and order taken, I went for the special appetiser of the day, the Burrata, unfortunately it was poor quality, no rich creamyness one expects and very bland.
I then waited 30 minutes for a bone in sirloin, that long that the guy who had sat at the bar when I got my Burrata had had his order taken, eaten his appetiser and half way through his main course.
When my bone in sirloin arrived they had not supplied me with cutlery so I had to go and get a staff member to bring me cutlery.
The steak looked a beautiful piece of meat but unfortunately was very undercooked. I’d asked for it medium and it was raw in the middle. I ate half, had a coffee and left.
I had high hopes, was left high and dry, won’t be back, still waiting for a thank you from any member of the team.
This restaurant was highly recommended and we were not disappointed. Incredible service and attention to detail. A staggering wine list and one of the best steaks we've ever had.
Was there for my husbands birthday and was placed next to a very loud and young group. They were completely inappropriate and were if anything encouraged by the servers. Completely over served, as if we were at a local bar at 2 am. Was looking for a classy environment to celebrate but was completely underwhelmed by the experience, felt anything but high end.
Took my husband here to celebrate his birthday. Don't go expecting a quiet, romantic date night. The place is lively and pretty crowded. Definitely not the place for quiet conversation. Thankfully we read the reviews, so we knew this going in. It was lots of fun, just don't expect a quiet atmosphere. The food was delicious (I had the hanger steak with brandied cherries which was so so delicious; he had the bone-in and it was a delight; we shared the corn creme brulee and waffle fries and would recommend both) and the service was great. When making the reservation, I mentioned that it was for my husband's birthday and after we finished our meal (without any reminder or follow up) they brought out a dessert plate with a candle and birthday message. I was so pleased, and my husband was surprised! I'd highly recommend making a point to celebrate a special occasion here- the food was amazing and the restaurant is beautiful!
We ordered T bone steak for two, told it would take 30 minutes. 50 minutes later we still had no meal. We were then given a T bone steak bone with cut up filet Minot in one side and skirt steak on the other side. Not what we ordered or paid for! The guests next to us had to cut the steak off the bone so we knew that they threw our steak together. Ok too of that it was burned! We paid 150$ to get something we didn’t order and didn’t taste good. We then had to run to our theatre since we were delayed by an hour for our food! Not a great way to spend a birthday celebration. Super disappointed!!
If you want a slightly quieter spot than the noisy main room, try to get the upstairs back room. Food is always a pleasant experience and service is spot on.
The food was fantastic! Excellent service and nice ambience
It was a birthday surprise for a friend. We had a party of 8 and we arrived early of our reservation. They were able to seat us very quickly. Ahead of our original reservation. The only issue of the night is my steak was over cooked and they had to replace it as I watched everyone else eat their delicious meals. It finally came after a few in our group was finished. Once I received my steak it was delicious and it didn’t dampen our moods.
Food overpriced nothing special
Good food fantastic service but too crowded service runs keep bumping by chair to the point that become annoying.
Nobody to complain all waiters were amazing and respectful
We always look forward to Quality Meats when we visit New York. We have never been disappointed with anything. Highly recommend and I’m picky.
The steak was not very hot but the meat was high quality. The venue was very loud. The cream corn brûlée was to die for.
Outstanding meat, the double rib is hard to find any better. Hard to find a good quality/price option for wine.
The food was good, not outstanding, the price was steep, the service was mediocre. The staff lacked basic customer service skills.
Food was ok. Meat was cooked well, but the sides are average in comparison. Service wasn’t great. Lots of waitstaff walking around, but they don’t really check on you. They give you your drinks and food and wait for you to flag them down for more wine, water, etc. My least favorite part was the noise level. I could barely hear my date. I had to yell and ask her to repeat herself over and over. This might be ok for business meals or group outings where you can talk with someone right beside you, but not ideal for a date that sits across from you. There are better places for a steak dinner in Manhattan.
Awful. The wait , the food, the cost , the whole experience was bad . Never again. Funny . It was packed. I guess NEw Yorkers don’t know value.
Very Nice restaurant in Newyork.
Great place priced equally!!!
It was my parents first time in New York City. Our waiter was kind and understanding. We were very full from a day of pizza and all shared a steak (it was a big steak, but they didn't make us feel bad for sharing it all). It was so delicious. The staff were accomodating and kind. I would recommend this to anyone
...After New York Marathon Dinner für 9, perfect Evenning, Thank You....
Food was great, service sucked bad.
We waited an hour and a half for beef tartar and a salad.
Price to portion size was a bit over the top.
The food tasty wonderful, wine and drinks were exquisite.
For a visit to NYC I would not visit again.....
Food quality and service is excellent. Great place for a special occasion
