Quality Meats is a contemporary restaurant that serves a rustic New American menu.
The varied menu focuses on modern interpretations of classic dishes such as Traditional Steak Tartare, Caesar Salad and Roasted Bone Marrow, in addition to several cuts of beef from legendary New York butchers Milton Abeles and Strassburger Meats.
The restaurant's side dishes alone merit a trip with innovative house specialties, including Corn Crème Brulee, Gnocchi and Cheese and Edamame with Mint Salt. The Quality Meats chefs are Craig Koketsu (Lespinasse, Stars) as executive chef and Cory Colton (Lespinasse, St.Regis) on pastry. The restaurant has a warm industrial atmosphere, created by award-winning AvroKO and features intimate dining areas, a comfortable bar area with well-stocked charcuterie bar.

The lighting in this place is very dark, my father has night blindness so he was unable to see anything but luckily they have Ribs on the menu so he was able to eat with his hands in a socially acceptable way (he LOVED it).
We were sat next to a very large, very loud group of ladies, I would like to go again on a more low key night

Amazing and very well cooked meat, probably one of the best I ever had so far. We got a Filet Mignon (perfect) and an Aged Rib Steak (very very very good!) with Pan Roasted Crispy Potatoes (good!) and Yorkshire Creamed Spinach (the least interesting) as sides.

Terrific food; good service but you get the feeling like they have an inflated impression of themselves and couldn’t really care less whether your individual experience is great or just ok.

The food was good for a steak house, but not exceptional. The service was excellent. The noise level was high, and the lighting was too dark for my taste. It was a little on the expensive side for what we got. It was my son's birthday celebration. Without prompting, they brought him a piece of birthday cake with a candle. That was very thoughtful of them. I will return because of that alone, if nothing else.

Coz even I had reservation at 8:00pm they had me waiting until 8:30, for worst I was with my mon with her foot injury.

The service was terribly bad after spending about $1000.
It was lunch time and not busy at all but the waitress never came to the table. They were chatting in the kitchen forever. I had to listen to their conversation most of the time.

Outstanding service and great food. The beef is excellent, we had the dry aged porterhouse for two, but you'd miss an opportunity if you didn't try the corn creme brulee, it is out of this world.

Food was better than expected. Staff was inattentive and service was berry slow. Over one hour between appetizer and entreé. Seating was a bit cramped and larger parties nearby were extremely loud-so much so that I felt like I was yelling across the table.

The only saving grace was the quality of food. Would still recommend trying. Hopefully your experience is better.

My husband and I took my folks there for my mother's birthday. Service was outstanding, the food phenomenal, and the noise was never so high that we couldn't easily hear each other.

This is one of my go-to places for a great time out. Definitely a bit pricey, but oh so worth it!

The seating downstairs is not the best as you are so close to the next table. Oysters and bone marrow apps were very good. Got the porterhouse for two. Prepared mid rare as requested. Great flavor. Only negative was a large piece of gristle running through the strip side. There was plenty of meat to eat around but at $130 I would expect a little better quality control. Overall good place have been several times and will go back.

The food for the most part was excellent, the steaks were well cooked and seasoned, and the waffle fries are the best I've ever had. However the service was terrible compared to the price and quality of the food. Drinks sat unfilled and refills weren't offered, I'm not sure if the server had another table elsewhere in the restaurant but he was basically absent the entire meal except for taking our order and dropping off the food when it was ready.

Apps were great however the steaks were terrible. Way under cooked and we were medium rare. Considering that’s the reason you to this restaurant made the whole experience disappointing. Entree sides were just ok. We’re sat in the smaller upstairs room I didn’t even know existed. Sort of felt out of the mix and disconnected which also made for a lesser experience. Bummer! Won’t be going back any time soon.

Cool, hip decor. Extremely dark and noisy. Seated promptly. Staff was pleasant. The steaks were good, apps and sides were average. NYC has many steakhouses that provide a superior experience.

We frequent the restaurant, couple of times a month, and everytime we go we have to wait at least 15 min or so.... the service is so so always. However, tonight Mike served us and the service was perfect. Everything timely and cared to detail. Thanks Mike for giving us an awesome experience!!!

It was fine. Tables for two are VERY close together - even by manhattan standards. food was ok. service was also ok. I've had worse. Seemed to be filled with tourists and large group business dinners - which makes sense for a restaurant that serves a perfectly average meal.

Quality Meats snuck up on me- I had never heard of it before I made the reservation, but I’m glad I found it. Such an intimate and modern looking dining room, and all staff were helpful and accommodating. Our waiter was incredible- I wish I could remember his name, but he was great. He walked legitimately cared about us and what we wanted, and he recommended a great wine to go with our meal. When we were stuck deciding which appetizer to get, he took the one we settled on and brought us the other one with no charge because we “had to have it.” That’s the kind of service that we will remember.

The food was exceptional: my fiancée and I shared the porterhouse for two and it was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, with steak that almost melted. And the “corn- brûlée” was so unique and outstanding.

Overall, an evening made great by incredible food and even better service!

I was particularly disturbed by the homeless panhandler at the front door. Very disturbing. I don’t care from that at this type of restaurant. I Wont come back until I know that management addresses this issue.

I have been going to quality meats for many years. But something has definitely changed. Food was not up to par waiter was so slow and barely asked us if we needed anything. Won’t be back

I would not recommend this restaurant. We were highly disappointed with our food. We expected so much more. Our service was very slow. It took close to 8-10 minutes before anyone brought us a menu!! How ridiculous. Many of the wait staff walked right by, looked at us and fully ignored us.Meanwhile a couple that sat 2 tables over that arrived around 20 mins later got a menu immediately. Our bread came with our app. Meanwhile another table the bread came shortly after the menu. The filet mignon was nothing special at all. Needed more seasoning. My tuna steak was plain. I don't at all understand the fuss. I've had way better meals in other places.
We would not go back. Completely overpriced, mediocre food.
On top of everything else. We arrived 45 mins early to see if we would be seated early. We were told no. We then came back 40 minutes later and still had to wait a good 10 -15 minutes or so to be seated. We were told to go to the bar where there were no seats for us.
It was a very disappointing evening.
