Quality Meats
The varied menu focuses on modern interpretations of classic dishes such as Traditional Steak Tartare, Caesar Salad and Roasted Bone Marrow, in addition to several cuts of beef from legendary New York butchers Milton Abeles and Strassburger Meats.
The restaurant's side dishes alone merit a trip with innovative house specialties, including Corn Crème Brulee, Gnocchi and Cheese and Edamame with Mint Salt. The Quality Meats chefs are Craig Koketsu (Lespinasse, Stars) as executive chef and Cory Colton (Lespinasse, St.Regis) on pastry. The restaurant has a warm industrial atmosphere, created by award-winning AvroKO and features intimate dining areas, a comfortable bar area with well-stocked charcuterie bar.

What Insiders Are Saying
Even though it's in Midtown, this multi-level meat market serves up one of our favorite steaks in town, and it's not what you might expect from a steakhouse in the area.
Absolutely increible food.
From out of town. Went on recommendation.
Came here for a get together with a few friends, the whiskey selection was pretty good and the dry aged porterhouse was perfect. Definitely recommend and will definitely come here again.
Great food and staff
One of the best pieces of meat I ever had. The quality of the meat was only outshined by the professionalisms of the staff.
Thanks to Management all was well and food is still great.
Great service, good ambience, and good variety of sides, but better steaks can be found in manhattan in my opinion.
The waiter had wonderful menu selections
Delicious dinner! Attentive service! Great dining experience.. best steaks ever!
I felt a little rushed- I had a 845 apt and was seated a little later then the reserved time - requiring us to wait at the bar
we were the last ones remaining and the check was delivered with the desserts before 11 pm .
All of the staff appeared to be in clean up mode while we we seated very top upstairs front .
We left at 11 pm
If I owned the restaurant I would have offered to move us to the bar area , and transferred our desserts and remaining bottle of wine - and asked if that was ok that we leave by midnight .
My feeling is that it is always ok to have people wait at bar for table - but just reciprocate that pleasure at the end of night with hold over
It was my 30th birthday celebration with my family. The service was sooooo slow. We all ordered steaks and all of them were bad including mine which was still purple! It was actually raw even though I asked for it medium. I sent it back but it took 20 minutes to return. I was really disappointed and told multiple people about this and they will not go to your restaurant.
Great restaurant, great food and great service! thank you
The service and quality of our steak at lunch was phenomenal. The steak was pricey but well worth it for the occasion. Highly recommend for important lunch meeting or dinner OR special occasion.
Noise level was a bit high for a business dinner. Food was good but steak was probably the toughest filet I have ever had.
steaks we great. Jalapeno-peanut butter bacon is a must-have appetizer. sides were hit or miss. The wine list is overpriced. No bargains on this menu, either. Service was excellent.
Delicious food and awesome service. Will definitely return.
Met friend from out of town for dinner. They commented on the ambience and the service. Steaks were excellent.
The food was delicious, however, the steaks came out room temp. That was a little disappointing. Aside from that everything else was great.
Unevenly cooked meat. Not a good table. Essentially in an aisle Cold. Wore my coat the entire meal to keep warm. Seldom saw waiter.
Super good. Worth the money. Quality service for sure.
fantastic experience. Great services and great food
among the many steakhouses in NYC, Quality Meats does not stand out in either selection, quality of product or ambience. the menu selection is skewed to one who wants to eat 1/2 a cow, the quality of the beef is average, as is the flavor and the ambience is loud, crowded and off-putting.
I had the bone-in Sirloin and the "Quality Potato" and shared the creamed spinach with my wife. While i requested medium rare, the steak was medium. The Potato was apparently one half of a twice baked potato slathered in plasticized cheese and harpooned with potato chips. Odd and not very inviting.
My wife had mushroom soup. she said it was ok. i tried it and it would not win any contests at the county fair.
all in all a fairly mediocre production.
Excellent restaurant with top service and dining options. Have been here for business dinners as well as romantic dates and it never disappoints. The waiting staff is phenomenal and the menu has so many options there is always something for even the pickiest eaters. Highly recommend all of the appetizers (especially steak tartar, bacon, crab/avocado and bone marrow). The prices are just right and the desserts are also amazing. Can't wait to go back!
Hostess was very nice. Our main waiter seemed annoyed by our presence. The assistant waiter was wonderful and personable. Food was good, but not for the price you pay. I don’t think I will go back given the many other options in the city for steak
I think lunch at QM is a great value. The salad and steak offerings give much to choose from and a good value for the $. My qualm with the food was that I ordered one of the salad entrees and chose chicken as my protien. The Boneless Skinless chickenbreast was HORRIBLY prepaired, it was rubbery and hard to chew / cut, it was thick with small brown grill marks on it. It seemed as though it had been poached days before then warmed in a grill pan.
I remember some years back ordering the same salad with the chicken, and getting a beautifully prepaird, thin pounded, freshly grilled piece of moist and tender chicken. Clearly something has gone wrong in the kitchen , such that they no longer know how to prepare a chicken breast for a salad lunch entree.
Thought this was an outlier having had a great experience previously. Asked the waiter for a marbled fatty piece of meat and he recommended the bone-in-ribeye for my client and I. While cooked "well" - the meat was tough and very hard to cut through - also tasted dry (homemade sauce not able to mask this). This means there was almost no fat - or more likely they seared off all of the fat prior so the cut of meat being used was sub-par. I will not be returning.
Highly recommend! Filet was perfect!
This place is never fail place for groups-- the food is terrific-- and this is a place where you must must order the corn creme brulee and the ice cream
I look forward to my next visit soon
VERY SURPRISED - SIRLOIN ON THE BONE WAS TOUGH AND CUTLERY WAS DULL. LITERALLY HURT MY HAND TRYING TO CUT THE STEAK. FOR THESE PRICES ITS UNACCEPTABLE
Food was “good” not great. There is a bit of a noise problem so if you want a quiet spot be sure to tell them in advance.
Had dinner prior to a broadway play. Very good atmosphere and the food was delicious. I had the bone-in Fillet which was outstanding. The corn brûlée was also very good.
Very expensive !
Steak came completely cold same for the lobster ( i ordered surf and turf )
Will not go there again
It was ok~ meat was great~
Love food. it's my assuption but there were section only Asian were seated.
We had a pleasure dinner time and the food was fantastic:)
Great food!
The food was amazing!!!
For this price, I have had many better steaks in nyc. Not juicy and too gamey. I had porterhouse and bone in ribeye
Anniversary
Excellent food and service. Great oysters to start everything fresh and tasty and the beef was top notch.
