Quality Meats Miami Beach
Quality Meats offers a menu that enhances elements of a classic butchery with large cuts of beef that are cured, smoked or aged in-house. Diners can expect hearty, flavorful dishes such as a short rib for two, double tomahawk rib steak and roasted suckling pig, along with a variety of enticing seafood.

My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary. We ordered the double rib steak for two, Cajun rib eye style—it was unbelievable and perfectly cooked. For apps we got shrimp cocktail, which was tasty but we aren’t huge jumbo shrimp people. We also got a charcuterie board, we probably could’ve done without, although the prosciutto was amazing. We ordered a side of creamed spinach, which came in a bread bowl; very cool.
We weren’t disappointed but assumed we would get a complimentary dessert of some sort for our anniversary. Instead we ordered an espresso martini (there are two on the menu: a typical one and an “upscale” one). We wanted the regular one but we’re brought the upscale one. We made it clear we wanted the other one, and they comped it from our bill which was awesome.
Had a good experience in QM in New York. Tried to repeat it at Miami address in 11/01/19 but did not succeed. The place is beautiful and the service correct. Accepted the waiter suggestion of a large special cut of meat for two. Ordered it to the chef's preference: medium-rare. The menu said 30-40 minutes to prepare. Not a problem to us, but it arrived much earlier. It arrived sliced. When we tasted it, the center of the slices was cold! Not freezer cold, but refrigerator cold. With the meat already sliced by the chef and the side dishes on the table, there was not good solution. Return the piece already sliced to be redone would alter the point of the meat. We talked to the waiter that returned it to the kitchen and brought it back medium but still not warmed in a good way. Decided not to do anything more. So, the maybe most expensive piece of meat in the restaurant, US$150,00, poorly prepared. Initially the waiter thought the problem was that the meat was raw. The meat was not raw, it was COLD.
Loud inside. Food not comparable to New York location.
Everything was tasty especially the bacon but thought for 21 dollars they would give you more. Overall good but portions were small given the price. Good place if your not the one paying
Highlights - well cooked, very good steak. Although I prefer my steak without a steak sauce, I thought the table made sauce was a nice addition. Great service. The Yorkshire cream spinach was a bit too much presentation - I would have preferred just the spinach. For steak houses - it was a good value. Someday, I hope someone can produce a steak for a more moderate price.
Horrible experience. Steaks were cold and dry, sides were average at best. Service was extremely cold and unwelcoming. I can cook better steaks at home than what was served at this restaurant. So disappointed.
Nice experience over all. The food was excellent and so was the ambience and location. We had the fresh catch of the day- sea bass , filet mignon and lobster as our main dishes with several sides. All very good. rI would recommended without hesitation for a nice evening out.
The restaurant was completely overwhelmed by New Year’s reservations. We arrived 30 minutes early for our 930 reservation and waited 90 minutes to be seated. The general manager of the restaurant work mightily to try and catch up. The hostess was reduced to tears and had to be relieved of her duties. We were seated in an alleyway to the kitchen. As a result we were bumped by trays and wait staff throughout the dinner. For this trouble I left with an $1100 charge for an abysmal experience. I am usually at quality meats and quality Italian customer in New York, usually for business but this left me feeling foolish and wishing we had made other New Year’s plans. The volume the business undertook to serve needs to be seriously reviewed as do management procedures. Obviously we will not be back to this restaurant and I am likely to make other choices in NY.
They intentionally overbook. If you’re traveling from out of town be very careful. We were told 45 mins after our reservation that it might be a good idea to book elsewhere. Book at your own risk!!!
Terrible. The restaurant canceled our reservation
Avoid this place at all costs. This restaurant is only worth it if it is nearly empty and the staff can handle it, but on busy nights they are not trained/equipped for a rush and everything, literally everything, falls apart.
New Year’s Eve… It was insane… Crazy environment… Very festive
Had reservations for 915 but they were easily an hour behind, I was fine with it, but some of the other patrons were having a meltdown
Then again, it was New Year’s Eve
It was so much food, that we could not even contemplate eating dessert
NYE. Arrived at 9:15pm for 9:15pm booking. The queue was out the door and it was complete chaos. No system in place to take people’s name in proper order. We waited an hour and a half. Finally got seated after repeatedly pestering manager.
We ate at Quality Meats in Miami Beach on New Year's Eve. It was very crowded and we had to wait quite a while for a table even though we had a reservation, but the food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was fun.
This restaurant is the most unprofessional, horribly run restaurant I’ve ever been to. We had a reservation for New Years Eve for my family of 5 and when we got there there was a line 20 tables long and we never even were able to check in. The staff was horrible and never even apologized or gave an answer. Whatever you do - never make a reservation or go to eat at this horrible establishment.
What happened on NYE????? Had a reservation for 6 people at 9:15. Got to restaurant promptly only to be greeted by a line literally out the door and no hostess at the desk!
Hostess told us to wait at the back of the line.
Found the manager who assured us that we would eventually sit...NOT!!!
Called Il Mulino and they fit us in...for twice the price but at least we didn’t wait to celebrate NYE on line at stupid Quality Meats.
We made a 9pm reservation for New Year’s Eve. We arrived right on time to find a VERY lengthy line to check in. We were finally able to check in at 9:20, at which point we were informed that it would be at least an hour until our table was ready. There was only one hostess working and it seemed that nobody was getting up. We never got the table and eventually had to leave to go elsewhere. This was, overall, a very disappointing experience.
They didn’t seat us because they overbooked. Very disorganized, and ruined our New Years plans. Don’t recommend at all.
New Years disappointing. They sat us 35 minutes after our reservation. The. It took another 20 minutes to even get menus and water. Another hour to get food.
New Year’s Eve
We had 8:30 reservations on New Year’s Eve. We arrived a little early, at 8:10, planning to have a drink while we waited for our table. When we checked in we were told they were running about 15 minutes behind, so we grabbed some drinks and waited outside. The restaurant was totally overloaded and we observed tables going for 30-40 minutes with no food or drinks. We checked with the hostess several times and at 9:40 she told us that she had no idea when we would get seated. We were a party of six and we had a commitment for a party later that night. We ended up leaving because there was no end in sight and as you can imagine, at that point we could not get a reservation anywhere else. There was not even an apology. You ruined our New Year’s Eve! I had heard good things about this restaurant from friends in NYC but this was a disgrace!!
NYE-very busy and overbooked by triple! We received everything late but with apologies and drinks OTH! My tomahawk steak was perfect! I loved the ambiance and the location. The locale is beautiful too. I am sure it’s perfect when it’s not the 31st. Our servers were really great and i gave only 4 starts because everything was so late, but not their fault. I would go again for sure and highly recommend!
OK we were there for NY Eve so it's difficult to rate for regular weekend dining. The food was good but the place was a zoo with lots of people everywhere and lined up trying to get in. The techno pounding music was excessive for dinner. Servers did their best and worked extremely hard to keep up which was practically impossible. Considering the circumstances of New Years Eve, I think they did a pretty good job trying to keep up.
Used open table to book my mother in laws birthday dinner. Put special notes in my reservation. Once we arrived it was quite obvious that the notes weren’t read. Asked waiter for water then proceeded to wait for 15 minutes before water was delivered. When it came time for wine selection we informed him we did not like Pinot noir or Cabernet Sauvignon and he proceeded to continue to try and sell us a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. When side orders were being placed we asked about the quality potato on the menu. Was informed it was a baked potato. When it arrived while good tasting was definitely not your standard baked potato from steak houses we were expecting. With it being a busy night I can understand some of the mishaps at a lesser quality restaurant, but at the price point and level of service expected from this place we were left disappointed.
Food was a little late and service for refreshments were slower than ide expect but the food made up for it. There’s indoor or outdoor dining.
We chose outside and it was loud but not overbearing for a pre New Year’s Eve dinner.
Very disappointing compared to NYC. The staff was overwhelmed and the food was mediocre.
Underwhelming. If you are going to pay $60 for a steak, you are better off someplace else.
High quality steak, great selection and outstanding service. Pierre, our waiter was attentive and very personable. Return visitor and QM always delivers.
We had their Wine Special Dinner Pri-Fixe menu which was a very good deal. We ordered their Filet Mignon and a Bone-in Dry Aged NY Strip for supplement charge of only $10, and it was phenomenal! We always come to QM Miami when visiting Miami and I have to say that this Miami location is better than QM NY in general with great services, even though we are from N.Y./NJ. Highly recommend.
Our food, particularly the steaks, was delicious but the service left a bit to be desired. When we originally sat down, two of our party had stopped in the restroom so it apparently looked like we were a party of four instead of a party of six so they initially started serving us that way even though our reservation was for 6 people. They brought out bread for 4 and a small table appetizer for 4. When we told them that there were two more people they did bring out additional bread but they never brought out the additional appetizer until well into our dinner. They never stopped to refill our water glasses or ask if we wanted another drink either and it took quite a long time to get our entrees. I would try it again because our steaks were very good but for an expensive restaurant I expected better service.
Food was good steak was slightly over cooked but still a good filet. Price was higher than should have been for the basic meats provided. Tables were not high quality although wait staff was attentive.
Loved it so much, went 2 times in 4 nites! Fantastic bar staff & the best waiter we’ve ever had! Made all 4 of us feel like family!
We had an outstanding dinner at Quality Meats. My wife and daughter had fish entrees and I ordered sirloin on the bone. The fish dishes were fresh and my steak, which came with the restaurant’s own steak sauce on the side was cooked to perfection. Not to be missed is the “Quality” potato. We have dined at Quality Meats in NYC and I am happy to report its South Beach counterpart is just as good.
Good was cold and not properly cooked.we had to wait a long time for steaks. Not the experience I expected.
Great time thank you
Food and service were excellent. Would recommend for a special occasion.
Was great thx
Excessively overpriced for a far-from-memorable dinner.
steak was B quality for a quality steak house
needed to send steak back b/c not cooked enough
bathrooms on 2nd floor only and the elevator was broken
