What Insiders Are Saying
Quality Italian is a neo-classic Italian restaurant in Midtown melded with a steakhouse. We like it for the variety on the menu and the massive space.
Perfect date for our 7th anniversary! Everything we ordered was amazing - proscuitto for the appetizer, two pastas to share - one with guanciale and the other was the spicy lobster. Amazing! The wait staff was so kind and even treated us to a DELICIOUS ricotta honey appetizer and chocolate cannoli for dessert! Could not have been a more perfect dinner.
An orgasmic food experience! Need I say more. Oh yes, bring extra cash. Worth every penny.
Chicken Parmesan pizza is off the hook! The service is too slow sometimes.
Awesome experience that being the service, the food and we went big on the wine and that was amazing too Get the chicken parm appetizer. It’s a deboned whole chicken and the sautéed and then is topped with mozz and sauce.
So touched when after an amazing meal they brought us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. I had the lamb. It was so delicious. I paired it with asparagus on the side and had a Quality Moscow Mule to drink. Highly recommend it.
They lost our order and were very late delivering it and they tried to "comp", but the comp was cheezy and meager.
Had the special cavatelli pasta with truffles- OMG Amazing!!!
Superb... food was only exceeded by the professional Waite staff . Anxious to return
The food was very good - you have to try the chicken parm pizza! The only negative is that it was extremely loud and it made any kind of conversation virtually impossible. So, if you are looking for a quiet venue, this would not be it!
Quality Italian is a fabulous upgrade to traditional Italian cuisine. Being Italian and cooking homemade Italian meals at home, I don't want the same old dishes you get in EVERY Italian restaurant. For foodies everyone, this is a must!
Excellent service, wonderful food, outstanding menu. Great place to visit in NYC.
Colleague dinner - great for it
Family visiting from California. Tough group but they more than LOVED it. They really enjoyed the service.
Absolutely delicious food, lively ambiance (which we love) and service was fantastic. We were visiting NYC for the weekend with our 2 kids (ages 3&6) and were hesitant to take them somewhere nice but it worked out perfect. The loud atmosphere helped and although there isn’t a kids menu, the server accommodated us and offered a simple pasta dish for them. Lovely time all around. The filet is especially to die for!!
CHICKEN PARM!!!!! Caesar salad and baked clams all awesome
Been there over the last few yrs also very good bring friends and family.....of course chicken parm unique and delish!!!!
it was ok. For the price of the meal I expected better food but still a great option in the area for Brunch. I think their dinner crowd is a lot of fun from what I remember.
Our pasta dishes were amazing and very unique. Highly recommended.
Even though we asked numerous questions of our waitress staff, it took for ever to get food. They continued to bring more bread; then brought plates of tomatoes, saying there was a delay in our food. Not one server apologized for the length of time it was taking for our food. Our friends had finished their meal and were waiting for their check before we had even gotten our main course. After tomatoes they bring two plates of corn brûlée to soothe us. By the time they FINALLY BROUGHT ENTREES WE WERE FULL! Terrible service and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Terrible experience.
Great food, always a great time during wine week. I always try to make it for at least one lunch during wine week. but was fortunate enough to go twice this week.
Third time, everything is perfect again! We come back
This was our second trip to Quality Italian and it did not disappoint. The service was great and friendly. The food was delicious (went with the Chicken Parm pizza again and highly recommend it). The overall atmosphere is fantastic. A great spot for a special occasion or romantic evening.
always a great time, good food and great service. Good staff all around. experienced there homemade steak sauce, nice touch. Thanks!
Amazing place to visit
Outstanding Wine Week Lunch with wide variety of quality wines. Considerate and efficient service. Staff had good wine knowledge. Setting is both elegant and comfortable, although noise level can be high depending on presence of large parties.
This experience was surprising. We often come here for the excellent service, food, and decor - unfortunately we only received the ladder two points. The service today was spotty and inconsistent - it seemed as if the restaurant was short staffed and couldn’t accommodate the dining room. We hope not to repeat this experience.
Food was great. Service was extremely lackluster. Wait staff barely came by and couldn’t get their attention even if you tried. I couldn’t order anything else during the course of the meal.
Perfect in every way possible
Great food! One of the best steaks I have eaten. And the ricotta appetizer is amazing. The only negative I have is it is very noisy hard to hear people at your table.
Great chicken warm pizza. Steaks and general share dishes were excellent.
The chicken parm pizza with honey drizzle is a must. The tomahawk steak is beautifully presented. Their monkey garlic bread is delicious. The creamed corn is a must. And definitely get yourself a Barolo from their list to pair your steak with.
I’m a fan of quality Italian. I’ve actually celebrated two of my birthdays there. Plus I love it for couple dinners with friends. It’s sexy, sleek and great food. The perfect setting for fun dinner convo with the family style approach.
Wine by the glass was pricey but the food was outstanding
Great food and portion! Service is very good but I would skip the dessert, a bit of a disappointment.
Very disappointing. We arrived and there is a musty, organic smell as soon as you get upstairs. The smell lingered through dinner which was unpleasant. We ordered the chicken parm with sausage, the lamp chops, spicy lobster pasta and the porterhouse stuffed pasta.
The spicy lobster pasta was incredibly delicious, portion was large and the lobster more than plentiful. The rest of the entrees were all major disappointments. The chicken parm is served like a pizza. The bottom was burnt and there was almost a rancid oil taste - it was sent back to the kitchen- replaced with no issues. The lamb was under seasoned and bland. The porterhouse pasta was a small portion and again light on seasoning and flavor. Service was excellent and the issue with the chicken parm was handled professionally . Unfortunately, I do not plan on a return visit.
I have a gluten allergy and got very sick! The waiter claimed the meal was gluten free but its clear he had no idea what a gluten allergy was. I will never go back!
Service was great. Very loud and dark for my mom who is senior though.
The Bone-in Rib Eye and the bone-in Filet are out of this world. I normally go to Quality Meats, but I tried Quality Italian and now I probably like more the vibe of this venue. Totally recommended!!
Great attomosher and the food was well prepared. But then from there is were it declined. The server this night was extremely slow and not attendtive. We watched other tables of the same size come into the restaurant, get their food before us and have their table cleared quicker. They even paid the check and left while we were still trying to flag down our server. I would say subpar being all the tables weren’t full. Extremely disappointing considering the price we paid. It will be a while before we go back.
Excellent all round! The service, the ambiance, the wine, the cocktails, the BREAD, the STEAK, the Brussel sprouts as a side, as well as the mushrooms, that came alive with a sweet and sour flair. We dined among dear old friends ( two couples) and shall make this place one for special celebrations of all sorts again and again!
One of my go to restaurants in New York. Love the chicken Parmesan pizza appetizer with salad.
