Quality Eats West Village

If there was one word to describe my dining experience, it would be ‘rushed’. The food was great! Atmosphere was hip. Noise level was very loud. But, from the moment we sat, the server, staff and manager seem to be rushing us so they could turn the table. We were ordered drinks, entrees, sides and desserts. They kept clearing our plates before we were done with them and took our wine glasses before we were done with the wine. Overall odd experience.

I always love eating here, the service is great and the food is amazing every time.

Sat at the table for 15 minutes waiting for a menu, water or any acknowledgement/service. No one ever showed up.

Food is always delicious. The bacon and peanut butter appetizer is amazing.

good food, terrible service, asked for ketchup and they didn’t bring until the meal was almost over. also forgot to bring our drink order

Three of us ordered the filets and order them Med Rare all came out well done. Not what I expected from Quality Meats, been to Quality Meats several times and always great. Service was great, kitchen was off.
Shame on manager for not coming by to check with us.

Liked the eclectic menu a lot. The tuna tartare was excellent! I had the Franksgiving, Turkey hot dogs and all the fixings. I don’t live in NYC, but I’d come here anytime.

I had been to the UES location and loved it. We met for our Bookclub meetup and it was a great setting for it given the book title for the month. However, from the start (before we were even seated) we felt rushed by the host as there were other upcoming reservations after us.

However, the service by our server was superb and the food was delicious as always.

Absolutely amazing meat, and a wine list with very good pricing on more "prestige" wines. Noisy and cramped, but the food experience is worth rubbing shoulders with the next table. Loving it!

Amazing! All my needs were met. My sister had an outstanding birthday dinner and I will definitely return some time soon!

The food was excellent- I had the hanger steak and the carrots, which were very unusual and delicious. The service was friendly and efficient and the noise level was not too bad. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Service was slow, and server pressured us to order sides, being vague about what’s included with our entrees. Menu itself wasn’t clear about accompaniments either. My friend ordered fries because the server said the lemon chicken wouldn’t be enough on its own. When the chicken arrived, it was sitting on top of a couple roasted smashed Yukon gold potatoes.

Waiter was absolutely terrible. Seemed like he was high or didn’t care about giving us good service. Was annoyed one of our party didn’t show up because of an automatic gratuity. Friend had a tree nut allergy and she has to have an epi pen when she goes out to eat. He wasn’t familiar with menu items and was guessing about dishes that he “believed” to have nuts or no nuts. Waiter disappeared throughout shift and we didn’t see him for a good 40 minutes. The guy who served us food seemed super great. Wish we would have had him. Just because restaurant week doesn’t mean you should treat people differently. Wish I could say I still like this restaurant.

I love this place! My hubby and I always eat here when we’re in town. The food is always YUM and the server is attentive. I had the steak salad and my hubby had the patty melt for our entrees. I highly recommend Quality Eats!

Ribeye burger was amazing!

The special was a 32 oz bone in ribeye. My son crushed it.
Food was excellent. They need a few more cabs by the glass.
Overall highly recommend.

Every aspect was excellent except that the tables are waaay too close and if you have a neighbor who’s loud, forget having a conversation with the person you are with!!!!

My go-to for out-of-towners. Cool, but not too cool. Delicious and affordable. Get the nitro negroni. If you're a negroni person.

Good food, excellent service. Really like the wine stack, allows a taste of 3 different wines for a reasonable pric.

The food was excellent. We had the bavette and hanger steak and it was cooked to perfection. We ordered almost all the sides and they were delicious. The wine list is excellent and great value. Service was attentive and efficient. Everyone was very nice! We will definitely be back soon.

Quality Meats indeed. The steak was perfectly charred and combined with the sauce was the best steak I've had. Service and atmosphere was great too.

Enjoyed the food. Good steak and cocktails. Very accommodating and friendly host, helped ensure we got a table and checked in on us during our meal. Server, however, was a bit temperamental and gave us a hard time for wanting to split the bill between two of us

Everything was delicious and the bartender was helpful and friendly.

This is a good place. Not cheep but not bad for the neighborhood. They do a bit of an emphasis on steak, and are the best and most reasonable in the area. The side dishes are original and tasty. It gets crowded at the end of the week

Service was inattentive and slow/intermittent. They brought me the wrong drink twice and the server who brought it was rude, curt, and argumentative. In fact, rolled his eyes the second time. When I used the restroom, I overheard the servers at the service station making rude and insulting comments about the restaurant patrons. I chose this restaurant because I frequent the Upper Easy Side location on 2nd Avenue and have had nothing but exceptional food and service. Honestly, it was an extremely disappointing evening all around.

Solid food, especially the value of the steak for the price. Service was poor - waiter served us cold coffee and then went on break and completely forgot about us

The food was excellent. Both the Caesar salad and deconstructed wedge were exceptional. The New York strip and frites was great. The service was excellent. We were in the front room, and it was incredibly loud. Probably quieter in the back room. But if you don't mind the noise, the food can't be faulted.

We had a wonderful experience. The dining room in the back is artsy, creatively decorated and trendy. The food was delicious. We shared a hamburger which came with curly fries and a Caesar salad. Drank a total of 2 glasses of wine and 1 beer. We had a nice leisurely lunch. Service was attentive and accommodating. The price just under $90. We will definitely return.

The food is delicious and creative. Every meal at Quality Eats is memorable but we felt VERY pressured to wrap up our meal and not linger. This pressure began at the 80 min mark... and we know full well that tables in most restaurants are the patron’s for a minimum of 2 hours. The service was very forced and bot the natirally welcoming attitude that we have experienced in the past. The sticky toffee cake is in a class of its own and the steak continues to be some of the most flavorful in the city. Yum!

I ordered the classic filet. I was told it was 12oz. When it arrived, it looked more like 9oz. Same comment from one of my fellow diners.

Sat in back room. Very crowded. Servers kept bumping into us. Ok food.

The bavette steak was excellent as were the french fries. However I was disappointed by the smores dessert served with a nearly tasteless ice cream in its carton pot making the dessert difficult to eat..

Great food! We got right in with our reservation. Nice brunch selection and drinks selection. It can get quite loud because you're sitting very close to other diners.

We liked our appetizers but not our entrees and would not go back. Had crab dish and bacon as starters; both very good but especially the bacon. Had octopus and branzino as entrees. I eat octopus all of the time. This was not good. Way over cooked almost like it was fried. Tough and hard to cut with a knife. Two of us had this dish and both felt same. Also it comes with Farro which is not gluten free but if you have a gluten intolerance they will not replace it with anything but a cold salad. Disappointing. Branzino was fine but nothing special. Too many great restaurants in NYC to go back here. They were sold out of the roasted carrots at 6 pm on a Monday (only 2 other customers besides our group of 3). Server was nice enough but really tried to push bottles of wine. Especially the “sale”wines , most of which were $100 or more and still 2 x markup vs the 3 x markup they were normally priced at.

My boyfriend and I came here for our NYE dinner and had a wonderful experience. The service was attentive, the food was great, and the ambiance is both fun and romantic. The chicken and the cacio e pepe orzo are delicious! We loved it and will definitely be back!

They didn’t have the reservation in their system but there was an available table. Good steaks!
