Great service, wonderful ambiance food was delicious.
Lobster was over sauced! Waiter was not friendly nor particularly helpful.
Great food, unique experience. Strongly recommended
First time visiting but not sure I’d be back, a lot was good but an equal amount was a little off.
There seemed to be some sort of breakdown happening between FOH and BOH. Transitions between courses were not smooth — not enough time between courses to finish food and/or have silverware reset. If you’re going to require ordering everything all at once this seems like a huge miss.
Steak drastically under seasoned (and table next to us who also had steak asked for salt so seemed to be a theme) but cooked to temp.
The number of employees felt overwhelming at times because they were constantly having to do gymnastics to avoid colliding with each other and guests, often resulting in them being in the personal space of tables.
Also found it strange that during a prolonged pandemic the preset wine glasses were just placed back on a shelf to be used again if a table didn’t order wine.
Our server was excellent! Our reservation was a 2pm and her as attentive and recommended such delightful items.
It took 30 minutes until anybody came to take our order..Wine came after the appetizers were served, and was not chilled enough. Food came not in the right order.. Silverware had to be asked for...etc.etc. never ever again.Especially for that price range.
All good but very pricy. A very small individual side of mash potatoes s $15. Too k in for what it was.
But outside seating area is fantastic. Good food and service.
Fue una experiencia familiar de compartir platos y momentos hermosos e inolvidables en un gran ambiente
Was a phenomenal experience, the bartender was amazing and it was a very delightful afternoon.
Excellent choice for foodies to have fun - they live up to the their name, as everything they served was done in the spirit of "quality"... the recipes, the ingredients, the preparation, the portions and so on
We sat in the private outdoor cabins - What a treat! They were quiet and intimate. The food was EXCELLENT - it is worth the price. Dover sole, the filet oscar, brussel sprouts, corn creme brulee and pistachio creme bruelee were all serious winners!
The restaurant was insanely expensive for what we received. The $33 spring chicken entree WITH NO SIDES, had barely any actual chicken on the bones. My partner’s $60 steak WITH NO SIDES was merely satisfactory taste wise and on the small size. He ordered $16 French fries and it was a tiny bowl of shoe string fries that were slightly warm. As it was his birthday, we ordered the apple tartine. Fortunately our very sweet waitress did not charge us for dessert as it was tasteless. The only part of the meal we enjoyed were the cocktails specifically mine- the bistro spritz. The hostess was cold and dismissive upon arrival and that should have been a sign to leave. I would absolutely not go back which is unfortunate because Quality Meats and Quality Italian were wonderful experiences.
Beautiful outdoor seating in your own private booth. For the price the food was just ok, it wasnt bad but it was no more than decent enough. When I pay that much I would like to eat something that taste fabulous, I dont mind paying for that.
The service was excellent just wish they food was better.
Great food, beautiful setting, but still accommodating to families. Had dinner befre a show and wished we had more time to spend at the restaurant. Scott, the manager, was quite helpful from reservations to greeting us and beyond. 5 stars
We ate lunch here before our matinee. We chose this restaurant because we love Quality Meats and Quality Italian. The bistro did not disappoint. It had a simple but classic menu for a nice lunch. I had the lobster salad which was perfection. My husband had the french onion burger which he said was like a burger and French onion soup had a baby, he really enjoyed it. They had a nice wine selection and the ambiance was beautiful. I definitely recommend this place for lunch if you are shopping on 57th St. or as a pre-theater meal. Hand's down they also had the best use of outdoor space that I have seen in the city, they went above and beyond with their street space- go see it you won't be disappointed.
The service from our waiter was possibly the worst I’ve ever experienced. I was meeting a friend, and she was running late, so I had to wait for her 15-20 min. Almost the entire time I was waiting for my friend, no one came over to offer me to order a drink while I wait! When I finally saw the waiter and stared at him, he came over. I ordered a glass of Perrier-Jouet, and I could see that he poured me what was the end of the bottle, and it was completely flat! When my friend got there, she was offered to order a drink promptly, but we were both definitely hungry and ready to order at least appetizers, but the waiter was about to walk away after pouring the wine without offering anything, so we had to call after him. When they brought two appetizers, there was barely enough room on our small table for two - there was a sizable lamp in the middle (it was in the evening). My friend couldn’t reach for one of the appetizers at all because they were put completely on my side, and there was nowhere to move them. There was also no room for me to put one of the large menus, so I had to keep it in my lap until I could finally stare at our waiter again for him to come and check on us, so we asked to remove the lamp and keep just one menu. We were almost done with the second appetizer, so decided to order the entrees, but we were chatting and the entrees came promptly. The servers (ours and and another who helped bring the plates) asked if they could remove the appetizer plate, and we said we weren’t done with them. There was barely enough room for the two entree plates, so we were struggling, and one of the waiters dismissively said that he could take them back and bring them out later! I asked, aren’t they going to get cold, and we ended up finding room for those, with zero care from the staff. Lastly, I ordered my steak medium rare and my friend ordered medium, but they looked exactly the same inside, and both were too chewy. We tipped 20%, but what a terrible dinner!
From the hostess to our waiter, and the manager, everyone at this restaurant was wonderful, and the food was just as good as them!
Absolutely loved our dinner at Quality Bistro! We sat outside. They have an incredible set up. Service was fantastic and food/drinks were amazing. We can’t wait to go back
Amazing food, drinks, and service - never disappointed by the Quality group
Service was slow. Requested outdoor seating for Covid safety but tables too close together and poor ventilation even being outdoors due to sealed tent. Food was very average.
crab cakes were incredibly greasy but we had great service and the outdoor dining is beautiful
My family was at there to celebrate my husband’s birthday. I chose the restaurant because it had such a high rating. It was very overpriced, but it was a special occasion and if the food and service were good the prices would be easier to accept.
We waited too long for appetizers which were very disappointing when they finally came. The French Onion Soup was bland and flavorless with much more cheese than soup. We waited again, for way too long for our mains, and it was clear that they were not timed adequately because my husband’s fries and fish were cold. My salmon was very mediocre. The steaks and lamp chops were were said to be okay by our teens. We did not want to order a birthday dessert, because we had run out of time and did not expect that it would be good. I hate to leave a bad review, and never have, but I felt so ripped off in every way, time, money, and an expectation of a memorable celebratory birthday meal. Very disappointed
The Caesar salad wasn’t fresh and drowning in garlic
The other salad just okay
The sole didn’t taste like fresh fish at this price your expectations are higher. Crab cake just ok and the poussin ok. Couldn’t order wine since were exorbitant nothing to do w the origin of the wine.
Service was friendly and pleasant however for a midtown restaurant we were greatly disappointed
Tables way too close together. Steak tartare was great. Crab cake was not good at all; too much breadcrumbs, super bland and served cold. Filet mignon was tasty and well cooked but Alaskan king crab that came with it was served in a rubbery cold crepe and tasted terrible. Waitress seemed annoyed at us the whole time. At least the champagne was cold. Def not somewhere I’d eat again.
Quality Brands has done it again with Quality Bistro. On 55th Street, where Circa used to live, they've opened a beautiful grand French bistro. And the food we tried was exquisite - Lobster toast appetizer, steak frites and filet au poivre with haricot verts and topped off with a deconstructed tarte tatin sundae. Mouth watering.
Great date night location. Excellent service. Would go there again
Wonderful! Will definitely be back!!!
I can’t say whether the place really is French, especially given the spelling errors on both their online and printed menus. But the food was good, and if your server is Danielle you’ll get five-star service. We sat outdoors in a plastic tent, which became so crowded and loud that it became uncomfortable. (Parties of four, I was told, can call to reserve one of their outdoor “cabins”, which I’m certain would be quieter. Parties of two can reserve a cabin, but only at a time so early the French might still think it was lunch.) If you look really hard on their wine list at the Rhône River, you may find the one very good red whose price won’t make you wish you had a Sugar Daddy or a Sugar Mommy.
Excellent all around. Food was delicious. Loved the onion soup. We also had the oysters, smoked salmon and main course salads.
Very attentive and friendly service. Beautiful spacious dining room. Reasonable prices.
Diana our server made the day
It was husband's birthday and we had requested to dine in one of the little huts, but we couldn't book it online. Upon arrival the staff were very helpful and kind to us, and were able to accommodate our request, even though the huts aren't meant for 2 according to them. But we appreciated this a lot and had a wonderful birthday dinner there.
our server was terrific, food was great, the cabin was nice but it would be better if there was a way for air to flow through it
bicycle lane just adjacent to the cabins is very dangerous, NYC should have a bicycle speed limit for this type of situation
Pricey for limited choices and quantities. Beautiful place and attentive services
Amazing meal and service. The Dover sole and corn crème brûlée truly outstanding!
Lovely outdoor atmosphere
Staff was kind and food delish
We sat outside in one of the booths and with the weather being perfect, it was a wonderful setting.
The service was outstanding!
The menu is small but offers enough variety.
