My husband and I always enjoy treating ourselves to QB. Last night, we were hosting a friend in from out of town and as always, everything was perfect. The attendants at the host stand always start off with the warmest welcome and from there, the experience only grows.

The food is excellent. I recommend their French Onion soup and their Rosemary Chicken. Service and food timing were terrible. I had a 6pm reservation and was out by 6:35pm as they rushed me through my meal. I ordered the French Onion soup to start and less than 5 minutes into receiving it, they already brought my main course. I was half way through my main course when they asked me if I wanted dessert. When I said no, in less than a minute I had a bill at my table while still not close to finishing my main course. To me it is "Restaurant 101" to not bring a Main until the starter is finished, and to not bring a bill until the Main is completed. Also, at no point during the meal did anyone ask "how is everything"....this is a base level to expect at a restaurant. I did bring these issues up to the Restaurant Manager who was gracious and said he would make it up to me on my next visit. I am considering it, but it was disappointing to see a restaurant that has been so good in the past to be so problematic with what I think are the basics. If I return and service is great, is it because it is great or because it had to be hand-held by someone else to ensure it wasn't a repeat of last time. I don't normally post reviews that aren't positive but think it is important for other diners to know.

Incredible, classic French cuisine of the very highest quality. Friendly attentive staff and and beautiful surroundings. Best meal in NYC!

This used to be my favorite restaurant for a special occasion, but after waiting for almost an hour for our table, it put a real damper on our festivities and just showed very poor restaurant management. no amount of free butter can make up for waiting an hour…. Such a shame.!

Chateaubriand was cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth tender. Charred Brussels sprouts were delicious.

Service is generally good but it was poor last night. It was inconsistent and not very friendly/welcoming. Once our mains arrived our server disappeared. We did not receive serving utensils for any of the sides, I had to get up and ask for them from a nearby server in the bar/service area. I had to ask for another glass of wine after my glass was empty for quite some time. We had guests in town and it was pretty disappointing. The food was consistent and met our expectations.

Very nice place with welcoming pleasant staff. Very popular venue so waiting to get seated during popular times can be a thing.
