There is a wide selection of steaks, which can be customized by adding frites. Other options like Octopus Nicoise with Chickpeas and Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Merguez Spiced Lamb Chops and Poussin Presse with Charred Herbs offer diversity to the menu, to be accompanied by sides like Sunchoke Gratin, Hasselback Butternut Squash, and Carrottes a l’Orange.
Excited to create events at this beautiful venue with excellent food and service
Not impressed with Quality Bistro. From lackluster service to food served at poor temperatures, this was an unimpressive meal. You'd think that with numerous cancellations by travelers due to the current health situation, management would have been appreciative of our patronage, but they weren't. Not once did anyone come over to ask about our visit and/or service, yet they did so with other tables. Had they stopped by, they would have found out that my escargot were room temperature, at best, and even my husband's French onion soup wasn't all that hot. Both of these dishes should come out at hot temperatures, for ultimate enjoyment, yet that just wasn't the case. The Caesar salad is such a large portion, it's really meant for at least 2 people, so we decide to share. After this point in our meal, we waited 30 minutes for our entree - which is really an unacceptable amount of time and the restaurant wasn't all that packed. We had to ask our water attendant for a status on our meal, as neither our waitress nor a manager seemed to care. I will say that the Steak Frites was very tasty and cooked to order, which was the best part of our meal. Apparently a manager heard that I asked out our entree, so a Profiterole dessert was sent over. This was also very tasty, but it would have meant a lot more if a manager had just stopped by and said something - a nice, "thanks for visiting, we apologize for the delay and hope you enjoyed your meal". It doesn't take much, but I guess the 3 managers that we saw visiting with other tables just didn't see the need. With so many choices in the city for spending your money, I'd recommend other places over Quality Bistro.
Very large, well appointed, very busy bistro-styled steakhouse ( plus a bunch of other stuff as well). Good vibe but very, very lively! Snag a table on the upper tier, its a bit calmer. Outstanding cauliflower carpaccio app, very good steak mains, good but not great fries, excellent roast crispy broccoli side. Big, well curated wine list, but pretty pricy. Some less than $100 bottles. Very good, attentive, professional service. Pricing is decent for midtown.
Wonderful service! Very attentive and polite. Definitely going back.
QB was a treat for our wedding anniversary dinner. The staff was exceptional, the ambiance was elegant, really nicely done. We loved the Seafood Tower and our steak entrees were perfectly prepared. The side dishes, especially the creme brulee corn were delicious. For a very new entree into the mid- town market this gem is firing on all cylinders. We'll definitely be back
It was my birthday and everything from start to finish was timed well and delicious! The chocolate, pistachio, vanilla crepe brûlée is amazing!!! The ambiance is great and the place beautiful! My new favorite restaurant!
Great service, ambience and delicious food! Will recommend and come back as well!
Service is great. Food is not. Steaks lacked flavor.
It is also misleading to label this restaurant as Bistro or as moderately priced. It is an expensive restaurant and it should not have 2 $ next to it.
The ironically named Quality Bistro is at the moment an absolute disaster, mostly due to the utterly incompetent service. A few examples. Upon arrival in time at 5:15, we were given the worst table in a nearly empty restaurant, right outside the kitchen door. After relocating, we informed the server that one of our diners needed to leave at 6:15. We ordered promptly, including some beef tartare for our early-departing diner. We ordered a glass of sparkling wine and a glass of grenache blanc, a white wine. The tableside pour of the sparkler was about 1/4 inch. I complained and a smidge more was added. Then my grenache came, except it was a red. When the server returned with the right white, she poured more than twice the amount that was in our glass of sparkling. At 6 pm, we finally received our raw oysters. The server didn’t know which was which, so someone else was summoned, and we learned they’d gotten the order wrong. We also received “the tartare,” which our early departing diner consumed. Except, as he was leaving at 6:15, his beef tartare arrived, along with another order of the tuna. He’d originally been served my tuna tartare, not his beef. We were assured the now-unneeded dishes would be removed from our bill. They were not until we complained. There’s more, but you get the idea. And no one was apologetic about the mistakes or the glacial food delivery. Instead we got attitude and a few accusations that we’d misordered. Except we’re all industry veterans and didn’t. To be fair, two of the dishes were ok, and the $54 filet, while a tad overcooked, was reportedly tasty. And it’s a pretty room. But this was a train wreck of a meal, and despite the eventual if incomplete bill corrections, was still expensive (nearly $200 including the penny tip). And for a restaurant that needs to service pre-theater diners, it’s entirely unable to get ‘er done. There are other restaurants nearby. All of them would be a better choice than the laughably titled Quality Bistro.
Everything they serve here is outstanding! Not to be missed!
bread service is a must. beautiful restaurant. great service. delicious food. we loved it. Moroccan chicken is fantastic!
Great food and ambiance but kept waiting for our table for 45 min without any explanation. Ran out of chateaubriand at 8.30 and service was slow. They did apologize, think was an off night, will def go back..
Excellent service. Great food. Great ambience. Large space. Will be a regular place for me to go to for drinks and/or dinner.
Great service and a wonderful experience.
A great bistro and fun environment. I would go back
Food was excellent! Service was impeccable. What you can expect from any of the Quality locations.
We were pre-theater. 6pm and needed to be out by 7:30–should not have been any problem. We had our DINNER served at 7:15. No time for dessert/coffee, etc. and, it cost a FORTUNE! They did give us free wine, which I really did not want as we were going to a 2-hour play! I will assume it is just growing pains and they got “slammed” in the kitchen that night. I WILL TRY ONE MORE TIME, to see if any improvements.
Halibut slightly over cooked but over all good Food and good
service and nice ambiance, will return.
Great food and excellent service!
Incredible food and menu. Service was impeccable along with the decor. For such a new restaurant they really nailed it. Our new "go-to." Looking forward to my next visit. Thanks!
The physical space was beautiful but the food was uninspired. Everything we ate had too much salt and garlic overpowered the Caesar salad (and that was after we requested light dressing).
This is a new restaurant still finding its personality. The ambiance falls between a bistro and Michelin wannabe - which is confusing. Our gregarious waiter proposed starting with an app that he said was outstanding. It wasn’t. My best guess is that it was leftover from lunch and reheated in the microwave. It was a bready, chewy, toasted pepperoni Alsace (?) concoction that’s not on the dinner menu. You needed a sharp knife to cut it and it looked quite toasted, almost burnt. Our winter salad was good, but heavily dressed. They were out of salmon and crab dishes. We finally went with the dover sole which was excellent-but should be at $54 dollars. Also missed any type of classic duck dish. Value for $ - definitely pricey for what you get.
The experience was fantastic. We had a mixed (on our end completely) and the team accommodated us regardless. Carson was a fantastic host on behalf of the entire restaurant. The food was great. I told all my friends how delicious the hamachi was. My pork chop was perfect. Thank you!!!
Fantastic, great service and good value.
It is a beautiful or 3 beautiful rooms. It was filled and quite noisy. Very difficult to have a conversation.
The food was very good and interesting. The service was friendly, pleasant but not very good. There were 2 of us. One received their meal minutes before the other one. It took a long time to get an ordered cocktail. One drink came on time. The other after 2 more requests was delivered almost 15 minutes later.
I am assuming the service will get better as they settle in. I hope so.
Such a beautiful establishment with such poor service and just a weird vibe. Waited 30 minutes with a reservation with no explanation , apology or anything. Was charged $23 for a mezcal margarita at the bar which tasted like a marg out of a tap! Asked for a corner table and was put at a corner table RIGHT along a staircase that was level with our table and peoples feet were literally inches from our table top(you should cover the railings along the tables so there’s some kinda barrier )Our server was clueless about the menu when asked to detail certain dishes and seemed nervous. She barely checked in on us even though her section seemed small and was walking by our table multiple times! There musta been 8 managers who half of which just stood around watching other workers I guess or I don’t know but it was just weird and awkward! Steak tartar was tasty as was the Caesar but the chili croutons were super spicy. Bone in strip was ok, nothing special.. asparagus was huge and delicious!! Overall nothing special. Just another corporate restaurant flooding nyc’s restaurant scene.. Don’t care to return here anytime in my near future...
